Just want to know how to remove small scratches? Tried small microfiber clothes but nothing is working. Or if you can link me and I will delete this thread. Thanks in advance.

I read somewhere back in the iPhone 3g days of using brasso, but I'd give it a Google. Maybe some turtle wax? Haha. I know they make a scratch filler for glasses, I'd look into that.

I don't know if it's a good idea to be using chemicals on the Digitizer. Best to use a screen protector or learn to live with it I'd say.
I use a liquid screen protector. Doesn't really fill in scratches well but it gives you peace of mind.
Don't use a polish on the phone, you'll just scratch it more.

Hmm. Sounds interesting. I have the commuter case from otter box (wanted the defender). The screen protector was too difficult. Even with the hard card. Oh well. thank you guys

That was always my thought on scratch removal tricks or products for smartphone screens. I've never tried it (usually use a screen protector), but it seems like something that would do as much harm as good.

To my surprise (and dismay), I noticed under direct sunlight that dust had made its way under the LCD glass today. It's all between the glass and LCD. See attachment. I got the phone same day it came out.
Has anyone else experienced dust under the glass?
Yes. You, me and 100+ others.

I have been using the phone for about a month now, no shields or cover, just carrying it around in my pocket. So far no dust at all. I would recommend asking for a replacement device.

Yes I have experienced that. It's really annoying when people don't clean their tables good enough before serving beverages.

Hey everyone. I got my invisible shield yesterday. Full body coverage. Carphone Warehouse £17.99. Installed it yesterday. Pleased with results.
As you can see in the pictures, there are still water bubbles on the front screen protector, but they are still drying up.
Now I am rest assured my desire s will remain scratch-free!
Sorry for the poor quality, shot on a 3mp tg01 camera.
Any questions, request more pictures, and I will be glad to answer!

Hi! I always try and avoid cheap screen protectors because they get scratched easily and they make the screen much more reflective. If you want a quality protector I recommend the case mate or official HTC protector. For a case, there are loads avalable like Amazon etc!

I have tried an ebay anti glare screen protector branded "Screen Guard professional". These are the easiest I have tried to apply without bubbles but do give the screen a rather unattractive grainy effect where white areas are viewed. I have gone back and ordered some clear ones from the same range.
Are the water bubbles already completely gone?
Nice, but I don't see a need for a full body. For me a screen protector is enough.

Only thing though, when I went in holiday to Florida, the shield started to peel away abit. I'm guessing this is to do with the really hot weather though! Other than that the shield is great !

The screen protector doesn't even cover up the proximity sensor. There is a cut out for it...
It may be a ROM you are using with RC tweaks, they make the sensor less responsive

Markyzz says good but from my own experience doing screen replacements is a thing that must be usually done by professional people or at least people with tools. There's always something that can go wrong. And first of all is the electrostatic discharge that can fry some sensitive components inside phone.

They say "Corning Gorilla Glass"
It has gorilla glass. It is listed even on the official company site which has all the gorilla glass embeded devices... Gorilla glass is not breakproof only scratchproof and this only to some extend.
look at ebay, there are many complete packs for replaceing the display, including tools for opening the phone.

I have yellow spots on my screen, should I replace my display or there is some other solution, is there anyone who solve this and how? While I was using Promethius ROM with WiFi on phone gets hot and yellow spots are totaly visible like the screen stating to burn. Good one with Gorilla and banana.
Do you have warranty for your phone?
I would try flashing back to stock, unroot and call LG support.

i just got my screen replacement for my phone and it didnt come with any adhesive, should i see how it feels without the adhesive or just send it in to HTC to fix it
i have been watching a lot of teardowns and they are saying there is no way to replace just the glass, you have to purchase a whole new LCD, but they are selling just screens on ebay so i dont know if it will work

I don't know but by the looks of our hoX..its difficult to separate the glass from the digitizer..i tried it with my friend's HoX and i already tried heating it but it wouldn't separate..
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
it is extremely difficult if not impossible to separate the glass from the lcd on our screens unfortunately without damaging one or both of the components. Don't get me wrong, I've seen it been done, but it's very risky. I also dont advise using just any adhesive when dealing with our phones. use the suggested 3m adhesive when replacing the lcd+screen, I think its fairly cheap now. I used some crazy glue I bought at the store and it turned out damaging my screen a bit, so a small strip across the screen didn't recognize touch, which was very annoying. Gonna be replacing it again very soon.
I know this may sound a little lame but I love the look of the phone, so I use it with no case. But the fingerprints are a bit much. Does anyone use anything like a cleaner, hand sanitizer, etc.?

One of the main reasons I bought mine as well is the looks.
You might want to check out the cases made by Spigen. Particularly the Slim Armor cases. They follow the looks of the phone and come in the same colors as the phone.

FYI no fingerprints here...
