friends am new here and am in big trouble i have buyed star X18i From Hongkong one of the seller has sold and am getting Network error every time when i try to call its showing an error containing Mobile network not available i am think that its a IMEI Problem i have tried all carrier sim cards but no use please help me this phone is of no use with out calling function, all other functions are working awesome and when i open about phone option its showing Android 4.0 so please tell me what should i do my dear friends????

Either the leaked/ported 4.0 rom the phone has has baseband issues
Or
Its locked to a carrier
Mobile network not available
I bought a Star X18i in July, 2012. Android Version is 4.0.3, kernel version is 2.6.35.7
And I changed imei with this method;
For IMEI 1,
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,7,"123456789012345"' >/dev/pttycmd1
For IMEI 2,
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,10,"123456789012345"' >/dev/pttycmd1
imei changed, but mobile network is still turned off even though I have used a registered imei from another old phone. Same issue here

Problem solved. SIM1 and SIM2 are marked as opposite on the label under the battery.
The other problem is;
- Snapshot button does not work in Google Goggles and FXCamera applications.
- Drivea application sometimes does not display red and white lines.
I cleared data and cache, but I don't know how to figure out this issue.

my friend is purchased a new Samsung Galaxy 3 Apollo (i5801) with orange label from UK for a gift. But i must use this phone in another operator in oustide of UK.
I went to gsm repair center yesterday and cracked my sim lock and changed my imei number for 20 $ (because my carrier is not accept foreign imei number, without registration)
my question is, if i upgrade firmware to 2.2 my imei is corrupted or sim lock is return?
last firmware is I5801BVJP9 but i m afraid imei lot and sim lock issue.

ok. i flashed my phone to froyo without any problem.
my imei not erased and sim lock is still disabled.
A few months ago i updated my lgp920 from gingerbread to 4.xx using a custom rom, afterwards i couldn't connect to my carrier so had no signal. After trying many many different roms I had no success and have been looking for an answer since but with no success.
If anyone has any ideas or solutions to get me connected again please help me, thank you in advance

Help ! Persistent call connect problem & incomplete file copy/move issue in XT1033
I am facing network issues on my dual sim moto g (xt1033) almost since I bought i.e even when my device was on jellybean & now when I am on KitKat.
The issues I face are:
i. People are unable to reach my number/contact me almost 90-95% of the time. They tell me u were unreachable.
ii. Sometimes when they call, my phone rings for 3-4 times(only hearable to me) but the caller didn't hear any sound of the call getting placed/connected and phone ringing.
iii. while browsing data(both 2g/3g), network frequently drops. it doesn't show that it dropped. I get to know when the respective app shows that you have an internet connection failure (for e.g facebook)
Things I have tried to resolve but failed:
i. Flashed revolution g v3 brazilian stock rom and reflashed indian radio/baseband to overwrite it. got both sims working but "call connect" issue did not go.
ii.Swapped sims on both the slots. I use a BSNL 3g sim & an airtel 2g one. I noticed after swapping/may be restarting calls getting connected a bit sooner/proper than they did before. but a day after again same issue & it just doesn't seem to go.
Can anybody please tell what can be done to resolve this? Is this a hardware/software issue ? I get it irrespective of data switched on/off.
If everything fails I have no option but to convert my asian dual sim moto g into a european single sim xt 1032 as explained here http://forum.technofaq.org/discussion/53/moto-g-xt1033-turn-your-xt1033-dual-sim-into-an-xt1032-single-sim/p1 Since it's system version is 174.44.9, I believe it contains the network fix.
My current device stats:
Bootloader unlocked, rooted, stock indian firmware with philz cwm recovery
system version : 171.44.31.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03
Build number : KXB20.25-1.31
Use 2 sims with both active

Facing a copy/move issue these days
After selecting all the files in the phone explorer (mtp mode) & trying to copy them to my win8.1 notebook the process automatically terminates/window vanishes midway. There's no error/warning thrown but all files do not get copied. I have tried to do the same thing but failed everytime. I tried to copy 6GB of files/folders. Everytime only 4GB gets copied & remaining(some folders with data) left out. why is this happening ? is this because they are being copied in mtp mode ?

Try cm11. It supports dual sim and dual standby. Your problem may be solved. I am on cm11 and it works fine with my Indian moto g

Since you've already unlocked the bootloader, try CM11 or any other ROMS. Let me know how it works out. I'm facing the same issue but don't want to unlock bootloader as I might not be able to return it.

@rajibie & @major9 Thank You for taking the time to reply. The first thing I did after unlocking the bootloader & rooting was install CM snapshot m5 . But unfortunately I wasn't able to hear the person on the other end clear enough. sound was too low. Therefore I returned to stock rom.

I haven't received any email. My device was purchased in feb.
I bought my htc u11 on 2018 december in uae .it works still 2020 jan.one day suddenly i can't make calls and unable use mobile network. Mobile shows baseband unknown and radio signal status off . I try to fix it but i can't.please help me recover it.

I recently bought a used Samsung Galaxy S10 (SM-G973F).
At first glance the phone was in excelent shape. The SIM Card was connecting to the mobile network, and calls, internet connection, etc was OK.
But then, I found out that the phone had been rooted. Probably, by the seller. In pannic, I rushed to unroot flashing the stock Rom.
Here what I did:
1- Forgot to check my precisly CSC code and assumed ZTA (cause I'm from Brazil, and the phone is from carrier "Claro")
2- Downloaded the stock rom using Frija
3- Using Odin 3.14.1 flashed the device.
The previous rooted system was on Android 10 and One UI 2.5. With this new rom went to Android 11 and One UI 3.0.
The problem:
The phone recognizes the SIM Card. But it simply doesn't connect to the network. When I try to make a call it says: " not registered on network"
The phone DO recgonizes the SIM Card. On the SIM Card Manager shows my carrier name (Vivo) and my phone number. Also, the SIM app is showing on the app list.
Things I tried:
Rebooting the phone
Changin the SIM Slot
Testing the SIM on another device to ensure it was working
Checked if the IMEI wasn't missing/undefined. It is not, the IMEI appears to be untouched
Checked if the IMEI had been blacklisted. It's not.
Flashed SEVERAL different stock ROMS with different CSC (ZTO, ZTA, ZVV)
Try to manually select the network. This also throws an error saying "error while searching for network"
I'm really desperate and don't know what to do anymore.

This is exactly like my S10 right now.
At first, all is good, the signal was great, all working well, except cant connect to samsung pass and samsung health because it was root.
then i brought to sellular shop service, to flash the phone.
Then, “not registered to network” happened. The signal ok, the phone able to read dual simcard, but “emergency call only” and if i try to search network manually, “error while searching for network”
And the sellular shop service have no idea how to fix after they reflashed and try to fix it for several days.
Have you found any solution to fix your pho?

So, were you able to find a solution for this problem? I also bought a Note 9 N960F/DS recently and found out it was actually a N960N model that was changed to N960F/DS. So I did exactly what you did, I flashed the original stock rom, N960N, but now phone will not connect to network. I also did hard reset, reflash other stock roms, nothing changed. Anybody with insight should please give us some pointers.
