Dear Friends Am From INDIA,
friends am new here and am in big trouble i have buyed star X18i From Hongkong one of the seller has sold and am getting Network error every time when i try to call its showing an error containing Mobile network not available i am think that its a IMEI Problem i have tried all carrier sim cards but no use please help me this phone is of no use with out calling function, all other functions are working awesome and when i open about phone option its showing Android 4.0 so please tell me what should i do my dear friends????

Either the leaked/ported 4.0 rom the phone has has baseband issues
Or
Its locked to a carrier
Mobile network not available
I bought a Star X18i in July, 2012. Android Version is 4.0.3, kernel version is 2.6.35.7
And I changed imei with this method;
For IMEI 1,
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,7,"123456789012345"' >/dev/pttycmd1
For IMEI 2,
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,10,"123456789012345"' >/dev/pttycmd1
imei changed, but mobile network is still turned off even though I have used a registered imei from another old phone. Same issue here

Problem solved. SIM1 and SIM2 are marked as opposite on the label under the battery.
The other problem is;
- Snapshot button does not work in Google Goggles and FXCamera applications.
- Drivea application sometimes does not display red and white lines.
I cleared data and cache, but I don't know how to figure out this issue.

Good day. I've been scouring the forums for a week now and I have a fair grasp of which guides I should follow. However,I have a limited technical capability to fix it and a fair share of knowledge through reading. So if there's any of you who can pitch in some ideas,I'd gladly appreciate it.

I acquired an LG SU760 phone which has been,at the time,on Gingerbread. Can't tell specifically the details but as far as I can recall,
it had a CWM recovery on it.I believe it was also rooted since I saw a SuperSU app.
Upon learning that the unit can be upgraded to ICS, I wanted it to be reverted on official stock GB,and then,later updated to official ICS thru OTA.
So I had the unit sent to a "TECH GUY" who apparently failed miserably on fixing it.Instead,leaving me with the unit with the issues above.
From what he told me,He apparently flashed or used a p920 rom,then failed. Soft bricked the thing. Downgraded it to GB. Updated it to ICS port,but got the Camera inverted and the 3 soft keys messed.Reverted back to GB with intact wifi and bluetooth. Noticed it consumed too much phone memory.And then finally settled into downgrading the thing to Froyo 2.2.2. Now I have a LG SU760 on froyo 2.2.2 with no WIFI, no BLUETOOTH, significant signal issues,no mobile internet connectivity,and a functional camera.Pretty useless if you ask me.

Maybe it has an IMEI problem
Maybe it was a baseband error
Maybe it had a bad flash?
So with these, I ask your help.
QUESTIONS
Priority 1:How do I upgrade it to Gingerbread and ICS?
Priority 2: How do I fix it's wifi,bluetooth,and mobile data issue?
So if you're kind enough to help a noob,then bless your soul. I work in the health sector from the Ph and being able to fix this unit might as well cut my father's losses.

It says I must be on ICS.
Okay,I have updated to ver 2.3.5 GB with kernel 2.6.35.7 using LG mobile support tool.
Still with NO WIFI and Network Signal.
However I got a mirrored front cam and bluetooth restored.
I'm now updating to ICS via the same tool.
Any thoughts on how to restore the WIFI back?

I have the same problem, although for me it wasnt that I flashed a new rom, just woke up and my phone wouldn't connect to the network. I have done an IMEI check as I bought the phone second hand and it came back clean

So guys, I've flashed the wrong country firmware on my S6. Before this, i was using android 6.0.1, and then i've instaled a INU firmware, but i needed to install ZTO. So, now my phone can't connect to my operator network, can't make calls, keeps saying that i'm not registered to the network. Don't know what to do. Someone help me
