[Q] Recent issues with Twitter web and widget - HTC Sensation

Hello, starting about 4 or 5 days ago I've been experiencing problems with Twitter and my sensation 4g. First it was the mobile Twitter site being blank after I signed in. Still is a problem even today, after 3 factory resets I've disabled the backup restore feature to try and make sure it didn't restore anything bad. The page will work with JavaScript turned off. I'm using the default browser. Before I did the resets the htc Twitter widget would crash and sense would reload each time I started to scroll to the page with the widget. I cleared the data etc. And even after the factory resets does the same thing. The friendstream widget works at showing the Twitter feeds without a problem. Anyway I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if there is a fix, or maybe its due to Twitter changing something to prepare for ice update ? Thanks for any help or comments.

After Sprint WM 6.5 upgrade adding Facebook as "favorite contact" causes lockups

After Sprint WM 6.5 upgrade adding Facebook as "favorite contact" causes lockups
Upgraded my Sprint Touch Pro 2 to Windows Mobile 6.5 from 6.1 last week. Now when I add a linked Facebook contact to my "favorite contacts" tab the TouchFlo interface locks up. Only way to fix is to remove the contacts or not link them to Facebook.
Took me 2 times of applying the 6.5 firmware update before I was able to nail it down to linked Facebook contacts on the favorite contact tab. Now that I've figured this out I'm not using the favorite contacts feature any longer and my lockups have disappeared!
Anyone else have this problem? If so were you able to find a fix?
Tried calling Sprint on the issue but apparently the tech support guys are new to this phone also. They were going to call me back but never did. Guess I'll have to try again another day but in the meantime thought I'd hit up the XDA forum.
bump......
I am using the same Manila, but cooked ROM, and it seems to work just fine.
Works fine with my Sprint HTC TP2 WM 6.5 phone

Well, I was sure I found an error. Still continues. If I add a contact NOT linked to Facebook no problem. If I add the contact AFTER linking to Facebook it starts to lock up.
I think I'll call Sprint back again. Confused...
When you first add contacts from FB, it does lock up for a min or two depending on how many contacts you have. But once it syncs all, it should be just fine.
If nothing works, try a Hard Reset, and start over again.

I added a new FB contact today and it locked up. I gave it about 15 minutes and then gave up since it was unusable. Did a soft reset and removed the FB contact. Now all is well.
I applied the firmware update twice. The first time I loaded everything and it was locking up. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I then reloaded the firmware again and took things step-by-step until I figured out what was causing the problem.
So, with that said, I don't think a hard reset will work considering it was locking up right after the firmware upgrade.
sorry to semi-hijack this thread
does anyone know how to update the facebook integration password - i changed my password and now I can't upload photos through the HTC Sence and my contact's albums/status updates will not refresh

[Q] trouble with updating apps after factory reset

hello,
i have a motorola xprt. it has it's own applications/widgets for news (rss feed) and social networking (like facebook, linkedin etc.)
I had to restore my factory setting (to change the default google account). after that those two applications wouldnt update (no news, no mails from FB, no contacts from FB).
i have tryed to:
- reenter the accounts
- turn my motorola on/off (several times)
- restore factory settings (again)
- leave it on to syncronize over wifi the whole night
- tryed to update it via gsm data only
it worked fine before. don't know where is the problem.
also i CAN post on fb and linkedin... so it seems like it goes one way (from me to them), but the other way it's not.
did anyone have similar problem and know the solution?
it has stock ROM, which is up to date, and i havent messed with the phone in any way!
i don't mind about status updates at all, but i miss facebook contacts.
i contacted motorola support service they told me to contact them back if waiting doesn't help confused
so....
... anyone?
just another post damn 5 more to go, this is ridiculuts

[Q] Facebook app stuck on loading feeds

So i can't remember what i changed in my phone to cause this if it caused it at all but my fb app was working peachy and suddenly it is stuck on loading feeds.
The new update seems to work for alot of people but not for me, when i login into the app it loads the whole layout but it doesnt load any feeds or status updates, when i go to my profile page exactly the same problem, i see the loading icon but nothing happens.
However i do get push messages but when i click them to open em i get back to the loading screen again.
Ive already deleted data and cache, did a factory reset, changed the password on pc and installed the last version that worked fine but now i also have the same problem with that version.
Anyone got a clue what is going on?
I know about the alternative fast fb which is ok but had alot of stuff that doesnt work properly for me.
Pls anyone?
Facebook havent worked for the past 5 updates, it keeps on the loading icon after i logged in, pretty much tried everything.

Something strange....

Hello guys,
I'm having a problem with my phone. I perform a full wipe (of everything except for bootloader) and then get the stock ICS by a RUU. When I upgraded to jellybean 4.2.2, some problems came, for example that, when I refresh the Blinkfeed page, I get the "com.htc.opensense.social has stop unexpectedly" error or the soft-touch keys don't vibrate when I touch'em. I tried to wipe again, but nothing. They are little issues, but a bit annoying. Anyone has an idea?
Im having same issue com.htc.opensocial. its a sync error for facebook or something else. I cant solve it fully
htc put facebook plugin on play store, if you see it try upgrading.
Today I've never seen it, so I hopped the problem was misteriously solved, but just five minutes ago, my homescreen freezed for some seconds after tapped on an app and it returned. It isn't a serious problem, 'cause Blinkfeed updates, but it's annoying seeing every times I refresh it this error. Looking for that plugin now...

Update:
First, I didn't find the plugin mentioned by xpirt, then I solved deleting data from facebook and facebook for HTC sense, going into Blinkfeed's option, deleting facebook's updates on it, refreshing it and, finally, re-put facebook on Blinkfeed.

Oreo Bug w/Facebook on Samsung S8+ (Oreo, VZW)

Trying to see if ANYONE has a solution to Facebook not logging in on the main Facebook account. If you use the "Dual Messenger" capability you can log into Facebook and Facebook Messenger from the secondary account, just not the first. Facebook Lite and Messenger Lite work also. When you try and log in on the main account is just keeps booting back to the log-in screen. I have tried:
- Clearing Cache
- Clearing Data
- Uninstall/Reinstall of Facebook and Facebook Messenger
- Install of older version of Facebook and Facebook Messenger
- remove 2-factor Auth for Facebook
- Change Facebook Password
- Turn off Code Generator
and probably more just can't remember
You can also not log into a Facebook account under the "Accounts" section in Settings. This only works with the main Facebook account on your phone and will not register the Dual account. So, that is why you really need to have the main account working or none of the apps that work with Facebook will see Facebook (other than the Dual Facebook Messenger app). One other interesting thing I found was that if you click "forgot my password" and put in your email, it says there is no network. Obviously that is incorrect since I logged in to the app, as well as everything else on my phone is connected to the network, and it sent me a login code. (Tried on Wifi and LTE to see if that made a difference too)
I tried calling Samsung and their only response was to restore the phone (just like always) which is really a copout. I also put in ticket with Facebook (3 actually), but they really have no support. I even went into a Best Buy store and there was a Samsung Expert there that day. She tried anything she could think of as well and NOTHING worked.
The thought now is that it is probably an issue related to Oreo but wondering is anyone has run into this issue and has a fix. I have seen numerous posts about the same issue with What's App, Facebook, and Facebook Messenger.

It's amazing that not one person has found a solution for this. Based on Facebook and Facebook Messenger updates still not working and the multiple posts around this same thing happeneing with WhatsApp too, it looks to be a major Oreo bug. Hopefully there will be a patch soon before many other people log out of one of these apps and can't log in.
Obviously Facebook "support" (or lack thereof) has yet to respond to ANY submission, post, or anything on any mesia throughout the hundreds of posts from people.
i suggest you to backup your device & do a complete factory rest your device because after os update users face this type of problems a factory reset may help you

I have read many posts where this is happening on WhatsApp and Messenger and a factory reset did not work either. I know that is the first answer for any support line but usually it is because they don't know anything and they just want to tell you something. I am not sure how a factory reset would do more than resetting all settings and resetting Facebook itself. Also, just think there is more of a bug since Facebook Messenger actually logs in but immeadiatly logs back out.
If there is anyone who has actually fixed this issue from a factory reset I would happy to try, as I have tried EVERYTHING else. So far, the only posts I have found say it did not work.
Well, tried the full reset and just as I figured, a LOT of time waisted. Still does not work. The second "Dual" user of Facebook works fine, just not the first. The ONLY difference is that now, instead of instantly looping back to the login page it stays on a screen saying "logging in" for about 5 min before it just stops and goes back to log in screen.
EDIT...FINALLY figured out the issue...it was related to an ad blocker app. I had tried turning that off before and didn't work but I think after the full uninstall, reboot, reset, everything of Facebook it FINALLY decided to work.
