BUT......
for the love of god has anyone cracked the thing yet.
I cant root it (it must have a magic hamster blocking it somehow.)
app market looks like it was made by windows 95. and doesn't work.
the manual says it plays a few audio/video formats (mp3,flac,avi,mp4 etc etc) but that`s just a big lie.
please please please help.
i just wanna use it as a e-reader/watch the odd movie and listen to some tunes but it wont even do that properly.
ideally. . . .
1) i wanna root it.
2) flash a new sexy rom onto it.
3) maybe read a book on it.

As stated in the topic, my phone is rooted and I am using Cyanogenmod Jelly Bean. I recently downloaded the game "100 Doors 2013" and EVERY time I play the game my phone crashes. I'm sorry if this is a kind of impossible to answer question but I'd like to see if anyone else has had this same problem and what could be causing it. For those of you who have played the game, you should know how simple of a game it is and thus I highly doubt the game is too big/resourceful for a powerful phone like the S3 to handle. RIGHT when it crashes it goes to the cyanogenmod screen with the blue spinning circle and then boots up again to my lock screen. I usually can't beat more than a full level at the most without it crashing. If someone could help me figure out what's going on with this I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

It seems the app is force restarting your phone. The Cyanogenmod logo you see is the boot animation.
This script will create a logcat (debug log) and save it out right before the system restarts. Someone may be able to decipher that for further information.
hello there and sorry to hear about ur problem i hav tested the game on a rom or two and had no issuses with it the best advice i can give u is to talk to the cook of the rom ur using meaning u hav to ask the guys on that roms page, we can all try and help u but understand u hav a custom rom that sum people use but not others like myself i hope that i was helpful as much as possible, also try to wipe ur phone to the way is was after u put the new rom on without adding any other apps then add ur game and test the game before u install ur other apps if it works then u know that one of the apps u hav added is giving u the problem
Hi all , im lookig for some info on a android tv box I bought a few weeks back ! First of all I want to say im relatively new to this whole notion of rooting , firmware , flashing etc etc and to be honest from reading or viewing videos im all mixed up as to where to start first ?
This box is a android b351 box , R-box is what appears on start up !
first off I noticed that the box was telling me im not connected to the net even though I was .
I tried factory reseting it but it made no difference .
I bought the box to use xbmc on it but when I installed (xunitytalk) version it seems very buggy and crashes alot or films dont play very smoothly .
I have updated my connection to a fibre powered line thinking my speeds where not up to scratch but that wasn't it ..
So after researching a bit ive learned that the box needs 1 : rooting 2roper flash/firmware 3: updating the os to 4.4 kit kat as 99% of these devices are not properly set up to run xbmc ..
Another term ive heard is kernaling it ?? I now know these things need to be done first before a proper build of the unit can commence but I dont know where to start ?

I am the owner of and Samsung Note 4 phone & I want to talk about a problem that is frustrating me since I got the phone .I must admit I switched from and Iphone 4S to Note 4 ( to android operating sistem ) .I like the build qullity of the phone & I can say that I am very impressed with the new android 5.1.1 I never had an experience with android before .When I bought the phone it didn't had 5.1.1 but an older version .This new version of android is EPIC ,I like it a lot .It made apple look like dumbasses .THey keept braging about they'r hones and operating sistem doing all kind of **** but look android is doing it to now with 5.1.1 even better .
OK with all of that say'ed and done there are 2 problems that I found frustrating !
The first and the bigest is that I was listening to musing on my windows 7 PC with iTunes .I don't want to listen to music on no other player because this one is the best in the world period . Back in the day when I had my Iphone I could sync music to the phone ,and then while having it Jailbroken/rooted could navigate to my music library into PPPPLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAYYYYYYLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSTTTTTTT select multiple files in there or the entire playlist and share it like send the files on whatsApp / Facebook etc.
It's 2016 soon and this F.......ing android operating system didn't created an windows + phone player that could do that .I don't whana know the alternatives that you know already exist .They are crap . I need to sync music and share it period .
Curently I do something close to this I sync music with Double twist .I found this is the best ,there are alternatives I know ( Syncr ... etc . ) I then can actualy see the playlists on my phone and listen to music .But this DoubleTwist used to have an sharing option that was a scam ,directing me to by the freaking song .But now they removed it completly ! because it was cheap to think like that .So i can sync music but can't share it .Of course afther I sync this music to my phone ,syncing from iTunes PC plibrary - I can then veiw it in an other phone app " PowerAMP or Roketplayer " Roket player dosen't have a sharing option to but suprize PowerAMP has .But it has 1 problem - you can share files from playlist but you can't select only 1 file at a time ... from the playlist .Why would you make the option to share files possible and didn't made it possible to select multiple files then press SHARE ?!!! ?!!???!!! Again its the end of 2015 Android has 5.1.1 with all it's freaking magic and **** but I can't do that .
Can someone help me with this problem ? Can you create a F...ing app that can do this ?
And the second problem I'm not even going to start discuse'ing it because it's beyond you .It's about Google play services that's drayinging up my batteri life .Did everything there is on google to sold it & still didn't succeed . Whys is this happening on an top smartphone with the latest operating system " Android " . Why the F ! I still have the felling that I whana take my Note 4 and smash someone head with it ? to se how many peapole I can kill with it because it's well made and I can sure kill many ppl with it than an Iphone 6 / S and **** .But still I can't share music and my battery is draining like hell .

I saw an ad on the side of a website one day talking about a government subsidized smartphone program from Q-Link. Here's a link to the page. I remember dealing with the ANS UL40 smartphone before that the government would hand out, and to say the least that thing was not very pretty. No updates, slow to the point of being unusable, and worst of all riddled with spyware (supposedly) that was sending data back to some random foreign IP address every so often.
I want to take on a similar project, albeit hopefully with better results. I don't have Q-Link or any of their smartphones myself, so I wanted to make this thread to let any users out there know that I'm willing to work with you to get root privileges on whatever phone they're shipping you guys.

If you could figure out how to gain root access for the ZTE Z3001S (the only phone that QLink gives you for free when you sign up for their service) you would be my hero. I shouldn't complain considering it's FREE, yet with all the bloatware pre loaded on the phone, phone is the slowest "smart phone" I have ever used in my life. I'm sure if you figured it out, you would be doing slot of us a huge favor, and for that I say thanks and good luck my friend.
QLink, Lineage 14.1 help!
I ported my good old Galaxy S3 running Lineage 14.1 over to QLink.
I didn't use the phone much because I was in Ting with limited everything.
Also no reception out here in the boonies.
So. It's awful. Everything is slow. Lots of freezing.
The GPS can be just plain ridiculous.
(TomTom Go and Google Maps)
Took me over a half hour to order bagels at Panera using Chrome.
Later, their app was just as bad.
Saw folk complaining about Lineage 14.1, same issues.
See folk complaining about QLink.
Any suggestions????

i litterally got a zte monarch quest 5 yesterday.. i found out n 5 mintues with just lookin through an activity launcher apk i dled that i cluld literally modify the SIM card data freely write to the modem n anything u wanted to do beyond that... hell i pressed 1 click b unlocked sim boot next then today ima read on sim configs n also i know some ap cmds but ill do that too plus i mean my god for a gov phone... they even havr it all n one menu foro u lol once u click ob the engineet app n the activity loader apk(no root or nothin required) u have the mode thought ouy lists of test/carrier/dev/engineer mode menu i have ever witnessrd i mean my crappu service menu that i cany even barley send cmds to n also takes 4 ever to load lol compared to this zte quest 5 monarch is ****ty hell it even has 2 dedicated to tuning ur gps with a freaken radar on the screen n gaguages to help triangulate ahahaha why would i ever get rid of the stock to lose this damn options heck i can literally press set or not to accept any sims even ones that fail because they jusy offer a menu to program the data manually if needed... plus props turn off gms n every thing my god thebest gov phone/ zte iv ever seen lol ill get pics here n a little im on my samsung now.. btw my dataissues solved 1 sec just because i knew within that time when it d.ced 5 times n switchedto change apn to something.. i used fast.t-mobile.com <--- might have misapelled engc nxtgenphone:FN and FIRSTNET and plus my sim had amazing onss on it once i scrolled down viewing the sim config/data editor.. lol way better ones iv seen well.. c yah all i hope this makes u think =) it did .e for that phone.. i still put reallu goodthings on it but dont wanna mess up my awesome godlike engering menu makes me feel like i bought software specially to do sim test it lol
youll notice with just a simple activity launcher this carrier does allow compleye total sim/phone control im not. joking ahah btw iv done apn trick forever on all phones iv had n past. it works. if u need better details lemme know. just whatever ur mnc mcc is id keep it same until u get into the eng mode or when u well in my district its 210 240 to 260 but i run that n my sims can be setup for anything now i found that menu. ill posy screens later today n show u

n theres alot alot more i can send but i figure ppl know now. anyway an option to disable gms or google.. but hey i wasnt think i was excited.. i disabled it. bam there went my keyboard my files system my browser and everything.. i xluldnt do crap but itd let me copy n past but not move the thing. i glady have a hotspot on it n sent a browser to it and keyboard. because i was able to nagitivate to the files.apk in permission. but yeh.. totLly deletes chrome n wuch n just disables what it doesnt deleye so have a bavkup i literally had to dl a whol3 keyboard i couldny even add one lol all y hve to do fk a dialer cod3 is just usethe activity loader in the thumb i have under this =) works for alkost anything that has services.. i noticed i s have to follow the process thougj.. like ir it requores permissions n its a sub service u need to click hold n save or(has option to change pkg u lauch aswell) and activate all process n a row 1-3 or w.e it is from begn to end intent n all.. i noticed some u dont cause u can "queue" so to speak the activate or allow permission or w.e then do it. pretty fkin cool.

They are sending out Scepter 8 Tablets that run Android 11 GO edition. Not worth the $10.01 co-pay but will make a nice roku remote.

I have a new, never-opened Scepter 8 tablet, that QLink sent me. I've been looking for a way to improve the software on it, since I've read reviews saying that the pre-installed technology on it, is not worth the $10 you are asked for. I have no experience with trying to "flash Roms" onto a phone/ tablet, but I believe that is probably what I need to do, to get it operational.
However, I'm willing to either trade this for an unlocked phone, or sell it to anybody who wants it.
I don't need a tablet, and never asked for this one.
I do need a network-unlocked phone, that can be used with Mint Mobile, as nine's stuck in a continuous boot-loop.
