Hi all , im lookig for some info on a android tv box I bought a few weeks back ! First of all I want to say im relatively new to this whole notion of rooting , firmware , flashing etc etc and to be honest from reading or viewing videos im all mixed up as to where to start first ?
This box is a android b351 box , R-box is what appears on start up !
first off I noticed that the box was telling me im not connected to the net even though I was .
I tried factory reseting it but it made no difference .
I bought the box to use xbmc on it but when I installed (xunitytalk) version it seems very buggy and crashes alot or films dont play very smoothly .
I have updated my connection to a fibre powered line thinking my speeds where not up to scratch but that wasn't it ..
So after researching a bit ive learned that the box needs 1 : rooting 2roper flash/firmware 3: updating the os to 4.4 kit kat as 99% of these devices are not properly set up to run xbmc ..
Another term ive heard is kernaling it ?? I now know these things need to be done first before a proper build of the unit can commence but I dont know where to start ?

i have in my possession and dodgy old android tablet.

Now i no that its a piece of S##T.
BUT......
for the love of god has anyone cracked the thing yet.
I cant root it (it must have a magic hamster blocking it somehow.)
app market looks like it was made by windows 95. and doesn't work.
the manual says it plays a few audio/video formats (mp3,flac,avi,mp4 etc etc) but that`s just a big lie.
please please please help.
i just wanna use it as a e-reader/watch the odd movie and listen to some tunes but it wont even do that properly.
ideally. . . .
1) i wanna root it.
2) flash a new sexy rom onto it.
3) maybe read a book on it.

in the last half hour ive managed to root the thing with z4root but cant flash rom manager as it wont tell me its generic model . . . . .grrrr

Hi, few weeks ago I became of happy(?) owner android console JXD S5110b , as to know is new , upgraded version of JXD S5110.
I get this console mainly for my son and sometimes for me ;] but from yesterday console start freaking. Every single time when i set my own settings after reboot default settings is loaded automatically so I don't have any games, wi-fi etc. What i can do wit this? As I red some already is some other firmwares but honestly i have no idea with is good or best also is suitable for my console because most of them are for JXD S5110 also I really don't know how to change software in this console. I will be really appreciate for any constructive comments.

hi, first post here, i have the same device and faced the same problem after an upgrade.
however they mentioned in the readme that should you face such a thing you need to do a factory reset after the upgrade and it'll work fine.

Hi i don't know if i'm in the right place here but i thought i would give this a go
i have a beelink mini mx a few of my friends have them and some in work too and after buying one i recommended
the box to them . the thing is as i'm always keeping upto date with the latest apps and stuff. where as they don't
and i'm forever going round all their houses from time to time updating them. and putting the same apps on their boxes as mine . i know how to flash roms and stuff
and root boxes
is there a way i could put an app on all their boxes that i could send updates to all their boxes
any ideas guys would be much appreciated

Actually, this is my first thread but I need some help. I'm using an android device with Jellybean (4.2.2), 1.2 GHz Dual-Core CPU and 1 GB RAM. I updated Instagram to latest version exist at all (10.33.0). But I don't have the option to create live stories or even watch them! I also don't have the option to face filters . I think it is something they added to apk file. It probably detects that I have low spec phone and it hides these options . I have a theory actually. I think it is possible to mod that apk and enable these options. Because I know my phone is capable of streaming and watching them (i can watch live streams on other apps). I tried to edit apk but i couldn't . So I need someone experienced at modding apk. Can u guys help me? (Pretty Please )
Edit: I also want to say that I was able to watch streams for few hours (I did nothing). I thought it was a bug and it is fixed but then, it disappeared again.

Can anyone tell me what the CPU is and the chipset? The box was working flawlessly until all iptv channels went down. I’m looking to put another OS on it
