[GAME][2.2+] Falldown Unlimited - Android Apps and Games

FALLDOWN UNLIMITED​
Hi this game is very simple.
The rules: You need to control the cube, using your accelerometer, and let the cube "falling down" through moving platforms holes. You need to stay alive as more, as you can.
Game was maked on Unity 3D engine.
Controls: Tilt device to move the cube. Touch the screen to boost speed.
And now the main thing: I need to know, how it run on armv6/armv7 devices with resolutions from 800x480 to 1280x800. And how accelerator working in game on all devices (excluding GalaxyTab P1000 coz i tested it.). I want to make balance between cube speed and game difficulty - that why i'm asking you to test it and say your opinion. Game is free.

Fixed bug, where user can do some trick and let the cube falling across the platform. Version updated.

Increase the speed of the game a little bit, add a options menu mayb? To set the speed to normal, medium, or fast.
Add certain power ups to change the color of the blocks to another color, and add a legend explaining what each power up does.

Small update and fixes.(new version in market).
Plans to do:
options menu with accelerometer setup and difficulty level tuning.
Bonus pickups remake.

I like it, but it is quite annoying that it does not acquire a wakelock, and the screen dims and turns off...

Hmm, interesting game but floors raise up too fast while I'm stuck at a REALLY slow pace trying to get to the hole no matter how much I tilt my phone. Maybe different colour options and difficulty levels for noobs like me?
But super smooth at the same time running with HTC Desire on sandvold's ICS.
Really looking forward to seeing what develops into though, and I'm sure that many hours will be spent on this. Great work

It's a pretty cool game; reminds me of the old falldown game I played on my TI-84 calculator.
I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S2 sgh-i777 with AOKP 4.0.4
Couple things that bothered me or I'd change.
It didn't prevent screen timeout (30 seconds on my phone).
I would like options to start at higher speeds.
Maybe a menu to turn off sound?
I do like the option to speed up gameplay when I hold-tap the screen.
Maybe add the ability to change the block colors or incorporate the color change into the gameplay somehow?

Google play is saying I can't download it! Any help? I'm on 2.3.5 as well!

Game works fine, but it's way to fast for me. The block slide too slow across the surface. I could have made it, but the block slide way too slowly to the holes. Wasn't able to pass more than 2 'walls'.

the feature touch to increase speed is a good feature only figured it out from frustration though because it was so slow I tapped the screen.
only went down a few levels so you may already do this, but would be a good idea to increase the speed as you go down the levels
initial loading takes a long time tho

sometimes blocks stay white on levels you've already left making it difficult to see underneath. seems to be when your moving the block and it hits a square on the way through a hole
ads should only be on start menu and pause menu, on the game it's too intrusive
game should be able to keep screen awake because it's a game where you barely touch the screen so it is an issue

Few suggestions/comments;
1) i get the occasional microlags (running a Galaxy S i9000) (and my phone can play high end games no problem so i'm guessing it's the game. - They're very occasional and it's not really an issue, but you might wanna improve this.
2) Can you set it so the screen doesn't turn off when playing when not touching the screen. I have screen off to 30s and if i dont touch the screen for that time, screen turns off, i turn it back on and i usually lose a life!
3) Add ability to turn music off. It get's a little annoying, especially if i was going to listen to music and play this.
I just thought you might like some feedback to help improve the game, And don't think im just complaining, this is a very simple and addicting game! Hats off to you sir!

Hi
On my Motorola Milestone (ARM Cortex A8) it is a bit slow. The phone has a limited RAM memory so it may also affect the game speed. And I will have to once again load the sw for speeding up the MicroSD card operations.
It is true that the screen went off after timeout was over.
I would prefer some options as well like switching off the music etc. - it is nice but certainly not suitable for midnight playing in the bedroom

First of all - THANKS FOR FEEDBACK!
I try to implement all your ideas in game. As about ads - I think to remove 300x250 banner from game, and 300x50 banner will popup only in loading screen. I add game speed option ( u can set initial speed of the game). And i will add sound on/off option. As for accel settings - i'm on the way, but it a little harder, that i though...

One more thing; highscores!
i'm getting impressively good but it forgets my hard work when i close the app!
That said i probably should do some actual hard work

Give us an option for calibration? Personally, I prefer for my screen to be calibrated back from a perfect 90 degree face-up. Super monkey ball for android does a great job with this positioning, in addition to moving around within levels.
Also, the cube moves too slow! I could play for hours if there was an option to speed it up.

[GAME] Volcanic Ascent Beta - A new addictive climbing game!

I have recently finished the beta of my game 'Volcanic Ascent'. The whole game was programmed completely by one person (me). It is not 100% complete yet, but it is relatively bug free, and quite functional. Could you please test it? Feel free to be as blunt as you want. If you think it is the worst application you have ever downloaded, then tell me, but please tell me why. Likewise if you think it is great.
I am trying to get as much feedback as I can to fix any raised issues before I can confidently call it a full release (I don't think it is quite mature/polished enough yet). I have been working pretty solidly on it for the past few weeks (50-70 hours a week) as I go back to uni soon. I need to get it as polished as I can before uni starts sapping my time.
Any input is welcome. Have fun!

Pretty entertaining, even if your dogs are apparently better than me.
Gave me a headache pretty quickly though. The background is a bit too much. Maybe make it a bit darker?
Interestingly it was much lighter and faster moving to start with. I found that to be a bit much and slowed the game down and darkened the background. I might make it slightly darker again in the next build then. Thanks for the feedback!

I am not 100% sure what I am going to do yet, my current plan is to release a free ad-supported version and a paid version with a couple of extra features and no ads. What would you do if you were in my position out of interest?

Used to be another game I used to play similar to this years ago.
Well I died with a score of 467 seems you can't control with tilt xD
But yeah, the background is nice, but you move so quick it can give you a headache.

Hahaha. Nope, I haven't added tilt control as of yet. What the hell, I will give it a go tomorrow (it is past 6am for me here, and I still haven't gone to bed . Too much programming...).
The main reason I haven't added it is because I am a bit worried about how tilt tends to have a slight delay before moving. I wasn't sure how effective it would be as a control mechanism when compared to touch considering my game needs a lot of quick reactions. I guess we will find out! And yes, the ghost powerup may be a little on the fast side xD.

Works well on my captivate and is very addicting. I felt that the speed is ok but needs to be slightly slower and the ghost mode is way to fast haha other than that awesome game keep up the good work!
It doesn't seems to be available on market for my phone. I've a Samsung Gt-I5500 (galaxy 5).

Ah, my game currently does not have support for 240x320 resolution screens. I loaded up an emulator at that resulution and it is indeed extremely difficult to control. Additionally there are a few graphical glitches caused by the low res. I will have a look at adding support for that resolution when I add tilt controls.

I will slightly bump the speed down for the next version then, and also slightly darken the background. The speed is something I am trying to get just right. Too slow and it makes it far less action-packed, but too fast and it gives you a headache. I might slightly increase the speed of dangerous objects to keep it somewhat balanced. I will bump the ghost mode's speed down a bit too.
I am also going to add more information to the help/about as I have had a couple of people complain about a lack of info. I will look at tilt controls, and I am going to add a simple achievements system based off of the height milestones (you achieve a new milestone every 5000 score as you climb). I will also start looking at ways to implement a new powerup (time-stop).
Pretty fun. I have to agree it gets kinda hard to look at after a while. But I think it is just because everything moves so fast. Great work. I look forward to playing it some more later.
Updated, slowed the game down slightly (about 10%, I am hoping a small change will help a lot). Also added tilt input! I have spent about a day trying to make it work well for this particular style of game. I think I did pretty well with my implementation of tilt, but I would love some input!
Touch the screen to use touch controls, otherwise the tilt controls will be active. As before, double-tap anywhere on the screen to jump to that spot.

Also, please note that the next version will likely be the full final release version (unless there are unforseen issues), and I will be spending the next week or so working on it. The tilt update was the 8th update I have done to the Beta.
Tilt controls work pretty.
No longer straining my eyes and the speed is just about right.

First of all, this Minesweeper Game runs on a hexagonal Layout (as you can see) - nothing really new so far (but i really love hexagons, can't tell why) but this is not ordinary Minesweeper, no it's unlimited Minesweeper - and that's what it is: unlimited! You can have every board size you wish .. or as much as your memory can hold to be honest. I admit at the moment it is capped with a maximum of 9999x9999 fields, which is enormous huge.

You can scroll, you can zoom (pinch to zoom) and it has Fast Reveal:
If you flaged all bombs around a Number field - just tap the number field and it reveals the adjacent pieces - (like minesweepers know) - so you can just enjoy the game.

It's the whole game, but without autosave (or save at all) and without highscores. No Ads at the moment (because it's xmas) but maybe I will Ads later .. don't know at the moment. (I need food and so, you know )
And there is the full version - which is supposed to support the developer (me) - it has autosave on close/pause and stores local highscores for each board you play.
I wanted to add a global highscore system, but i am not sure what to take, maybe i make one myself or I will implement .. scoreloop maybe? I am just concerned about permissions, I dont want to spoil the gameplay by implementing features which turns the players off But i have to say, that - say scoreloop - truly will have some marketing benefit .. What do you think about it?
Please try my newest game and let me know what you think. The game is ready for all android devices (>=G2) and all screen resolutions - it should perform well, because even in the emulator(!!) it is playable.
PS: I haven't found out if "Minesweeper" is truly a trademark or not .. really, I have no idea .. hopefully noone will sue me (here on my little island) ..
some feedback:
my suggestion is to allow players to mark a flag by long pressing a spot. Having to click the flag on top gets tedious after a while. I would default a short press to 'digging' and long press to a 'flag'. Make it vibrate when a flag is placed so we know when to let go.
just a thought.
regarding scoreloop, I dont care about a global highscore list. Often times, they're littered with cheating scores and never get any attention because of that.
there is normaly no need for switching flag/dig mode because if you flagged all bombs around a number, just tap the number to reveal adjacent fields - works perfect and fast ;-) (if you flagged wrong the bomb will revealed of course)
Forgot to vibrate .. will add this in next version ;-)
I was concerned too with cheating the scores .. that's why I consider doing my own highscore server ... because not so popular it would not as fast cheated ..

i hear what you are saying but in that case, you're forcing people to use that method to solve these puzzles. I dont do it that way, never have. I like to mark one or two, then dig a bunch.

If you dont release the finger the game triggers that as scroll mode .. I find that important otherwise it would be possible to accidentally open a field while scrolling ..
Car manufacturers are forcing people also to use the steering wheel instead of turning wheels by hand .. just kidding I will have a thought about it ..
hmm .. at a very first approach in that game I was thinking about a little trigger zone in left bottom corner (like a gamepad) where you can use your your thumb to override .. maybe i implement something like that? so to temporarily switch the current mode as long as your thumb is down.
What do you think of that? Have to implement sort of options then, so user can choose in which corner this zone should be (left/right handed players)

First update of Minesweeper: Unlimited! is out.
First of all, now there is some soundfx and also the vibration as suggested
Also, for all guys who dont like the Fast-Reveal Feature, i have implemented a new function which allows you to play fast even u dont want to use fast-reveal:
Take a Look at the all new Thumb-Switcher!
In the (all new) settings-screen - where you also can turn sound and vibrator on or off - you will also find to activate the Thumb-Switcher!
Once activated you got a little zone right where your thumb is - left/right bottom of the screen. If you press it with your thumb you temporarily switch the mode as long as you hold down your thumb!
This way you can use your favorite Mode (Dig/Flag) and just switch it while holding your thumb down.
So, if you like to do digging, just go with dig mode and if you have the opportunity to place a flag, hold down your thumb, place the flag and release the thumb - you are in dig mode again.
I hope this new feature will add a great experience for some users. The update is just uploaded to Market and should be available soon all over the world.

hmm .. I tought about High-Res Displays coming up now like the nexus .. is it too small?
If you like I could allow zooming IN .. I turned that off because it doesnt look very nice (pixelates) but should improve gameplay on high-res-displays.
Maybe I can deliver high-res-graphics too ... so it looks nice even when zoomed in .. hmm

After almost 3 months of sleepless nights, AVION Checkpoint is finally on Google Play.

In last version you will find new "SURVIVAL MODE" where you can fly airplane in endless level with much improved graphics.
- Steer airplane swiping up and down, hit gates in right order and avoid enemy planes and missiles.
- Double tap shoots missile on enemies
- Two fingers on screen puts airplane into automatic looping mode (you can choose in options whether to use second finger position to loop up or down or just to loop up no meter where the second finger is)
What do you think? Any ideas? Suggestions?

There is a new update on Google Play.
Features:
Two finger touch anywhere on screen activates automatic airplane loop (if you need to find missed gate).
Gates on level 1 have a solid frame, so, it's much easier for newcomers to figure out what to do first.

- explosions when airplane hits another plane
- new effect when airplane collects package
- status line (lives, checkpoints, time) is revamped
- new enemy airplane models
- new enemy generating script
- slower missiles on level 12

NEW Version (lot's of new features)
I have uploaded new game version on Google Play.
List of changes:
- new script for controlling enemy airplanes
- new script for controlling missiles (both air-to-air and ground-to-air)
- added music on status screens (main menu, screen between levels) (thanks [email protected])
- changed status on top (lives are represented with small airplane sprites, level time is on left side, not so important information is under)

New version (2.0):
- Fixed status line (time is represented with clock icon)
- Fixed menu script (now menu should look nice on all display resolutions, including HD and FullHD)
- Added inner and outer looping mode for airplane. Second touch over first one will force airplane to outer loop, secon touch under first one will force airplane to inner loop. Second touch should be over or under control touch, but anywhere on screen (even with second hand on other part of the screen)
- Changed menu music
- Changed missile sound
Next update will bring firing missiles with double touch.

nice game mate, the controls are pretty intuitive and easy to use.
I had a problem (but maybe is my phone, which has been a bit crappy lately) when quitting....the game stopped but didn't completely quit, it remained at a black screen and i had to force the termination.

My dream was to make my own game...So, 3 months or 3 years, doesn't matter...Enjoying every minute programming and designing...
BTW, I got my first computer (Spectrum) 30 years ago, so, it's a long dream
Dude this is actually pretty cool it runs so smooth on my Note 3 overall I think it is a good concept and very fun for quick sessions I like the graphical style you went with! What game engine did you use and how long did it take you to make??

I'm using Unity3D, some Blender for 3D shapes.
I have spent about 3 months on this game, doing 3-4 hours par day (from tutorials to actual programming), mostly at night (I have regular job, after work I'm with kids, and only spare time is when they are in bed). This is my first game, I have lots of ideas, just need to find time and resources, sky is the limit
I'm planning more features soon (like dog fight, kamikaze mod, more airplane models and handling based on model, fuel management...).

[GAME][2.3+] Atomic - Micromanage your universe

Hi. Here's a game i've been working on (and actually playing myself): Atomic. It's a space themed micromanagement tapping gaming. I took the basic fun game mechanics from the classic adventure capitalist experience, but gave the overall game some purpose and random events that shake things up. The goal is to attain the most atoms in your multi-verse.

Updated to 1.1 - Looped BGM and added support for Android 2.3 and up.
I installed it, but it is VERY slow and freezes on the 8 word screen. 2 minuites later, Tap this to create atoms popped up over the 8 word screen. then a disclaimer popped up. tapped that and the atom screen came up again minus the opening screen. I tapped the atom and it sat there for a bit. Now my screen says: ATOMS: 1
...and just sits there.
I don't really get the point of this game. I'm pushing the elements but I don't know what I can do with them. Also what's with the dark energy and matter? I can tap the carbon 300 times to get this new thing and then what? And what's with the atoms? What can you do with that? I'm kinda confused
It's a tapping game just like AdVenture Capitalist. Except instead of collecting money, you're collecting Atoms. In this game, you create new levels and elements by making previous ones. More atoms allow more of the elements to be created per tap.
The dark energy is the overall lifespan of your universe. When that runs out, you wont be able to do anything with your universe. So the goal is to keep it from running out, while still being able to collect more Atoms. The Dark Matter is strictly for players who want to speed up the game by buying Dark Matter to convert directly to the elements or other levels (or worm holes). You tap the elements to collect as much as you can, then it unlocks other levels (this game was built for people who knew about the tapping mechanic of AdCap but got bored of it, for people who haven't played with that gaming mechanic before I will providing an in-game tutorial of all the little cute things).
Once you get to black holes, that's when tapping other levels becomes automatic.

The only glitch is you tapping ahead before agreeing to the 8 word password screen (in an update i'm going to prevent anyone from being able to make that mistake). Just simply restart, and tap the atoms. Tap the word that says "ATOMS" and keep building them to create and unlock more things.
It's not bad at all. Well done!

I get it now, pretty nice! I like the design of it btw. But how do you prevent the dark energy from decreasing?
Well, the glitch is that it was taking forever for any new menu to come up. After about 15 mins. of waiting it finally started working properly. I was tapping the ATOM like you said, but nothing was happening.
I like the app. A little slow in progressing for my taste, but it's definitely got promise. I also received an error while trying to back out of the app. When I restore WiFi functionality to my phone, I will post the screenshot here.

Yeah the pacing is a bit slow, but for those that keep going, it rewards you for the patience. Backing out makes it attempt to save a backup online in the cloud (so if you're not connected to the internet, than it won't be able to backup your data). The next time you start it up will retry the same thing and back it up.
The speed problem you have is probably because you don't have a valid internet connection (which isn't required, but yeah, blocks some stuff like ranking etc..).

_____________​Power/Lift is Virtual Reality game for Android platform created by Marcin Kowalski and Riccardo Di Meo creator of Application "VR Theater for Android".
Game is totally free without any adds. It use Unity Engine and contain handmade assets made especially for that game, and instead of going to colorful and cartoonish atmosphere like most of VR games on market, Power/Lift aim to be more realistic and darker. And even with big performance requirement of devices that use VR, Power/Lift managed to push visual quality to its limits keeping compatibility even with weaker devices.
Overall point of game is to find and switch on all fuse-boxes in the level, then find your way out by looking for last platform that will transport you to next stage. There are a lot of shortcuts on the way out: find them to get the best possible time.

Game is still in development, there is plan to implement Google Play Global Highscore and Achievements, create more levels and add few smaller features.
But for now we need your help to test this game on more devices, see if there is possibility to increase graphic quality without loosing performance(because its VR game it need 2x more power than normal mobile game).
For now game is ""optimized"" to run on slower devices(minimum Snapdragon801) so we had to reduce some graphical aspect of the game(shadows, lights, bump-maps), but if test on newer devices will be satisfying, we will add some options that will bump graphic quality even more to make game more atmospheric and just "prettier".
We would be really happy if every person who download it and test it, would post information like: model of phone, any bugs he encounter, and of course how fluid game is(like: its lag on level 2 here and here).
As I mentioned Power/Lift is game made totally for free in our free time. We cant afford any fancy addons right now, so we need to make everything by our self, including testing, but because of limited access to devices, you could help us with that just by playing it and leaving opinion/information about Game!

As for Youtube video content, I dont have much experience with making good game trailers so I though it would be just better to make more "realistic" just by saying the funny truth about mobile VR
As for Quality, YouTube sadly messed up gamma and quality, so some parts are to bright :/
If you have any suggestions, or bugs you found feel free to post them. Its first release, so we expecting that it will contain some problems.
Anyone who use GearVR.
I would be grateful for checking how game work with those goggles.
Just small update that Power/Lift goes through some major changes, including changing name, graphic style, game mode(VR will be on/off option), and most important it will be less confusing as it is now(more obvious gameplay, and simplified level design).
If anyone have any suggestions feel free to write them!
It will take some time(even months) but taking in to the account that its FREE game without any ads, and its made just by 2 people, I hope it will give people some fun.
Small update for current version of Power/Lift!​
Im still work on totally new version of this game, that will have new name, lots of new features and different graphic style and gameplay,
but in the meantime me and Riccardo wanted to publish small update for current Power/Lift Game that will fix few things. It still lacking some features(like global highscore, or proper pause menu...) but it should fix bugs, make it faster and help new players understand what to do...
Work on new version are going slow, so its hard to tell when I release it, so before that happen we will try to update Power/Lift when we find free time, and add features that we wanted...
So here are small changelog:
-New icon that dont look so "oldschool"(read: android 2.3 era)
-First level now have tutorial voice, arrows and signs that will explain player what he should do in game.
-Simple highscore menu that show your best time on each level.
-New tweaked shadowmaps that should have less light bugs.
-Some small changes in models and occlusion that should give some small performance boost.
-Removed rotating camera in Main Menu(so people will stop thinking that their phone gyroscope is bugged)
-Falling death is now shorter(3sec instead of 5sec) so if you fall down you will not loose so much time waiting for respawn.
-Other smaller fixes that no one saw and no one will see :]

New Update!​
I found some free time to put together new update, that contain few new features, and few fixes, and few more bugs, and few more lags...
But going to the point, here is small changelog for version 0.6
-New menu style. You just need to move joystick to quickly select option
-Pause Menu. Yes, finally I managed to put that super innovative option in game!
-New Level 5. Just to give you another reason to play it...
-Graphic settings. Low that lower texture resolution and filtering, default, and High, that enable Anti Aliasing and force filtering.
-Some new Shaders for particles & transparency(should fix lags in some places...)
Now about Pause menu. Sadly every joystick I tested have different input number, so in some cases you could end up having pause button assigned to weird key...
As I said before game is free and made in free time, so for me, person with mediocre experience with coding, its damn hard to make such simple thing like option to manually assign keys by player, and because its free game, I dont want to spend money on special unity asset that would make that automatically by detecting controller player use...
I probably fix that in next release, but it will take some time... just like global high-score... sorry about that... no one is perfect :]
