The Offical ICS update came out for the HTC Amaze for T-mobile, Can you use the radio from that for the T-Mobile Sensation 4g ? might be a dumb question
Don't ever flash the radio from another device to this one. Ever.

Add a few more nevers in there as a precautionary measure.
I know you get it now, but just to be clear to anyone who finds this thread in the future this is not something you can experiment with then go back if it doesn't work.
If you flash the radio of another device, or the firmware of another device, you will have an absolutely unrecoverable brick situation. You won't be able to flash the correct radio / firmware because you won't even be able to get into your HBoot by pressing power - volume up. You won't be able to use ADB to put the right versions on because the device will be completely powered down and your computer won't recognize that it's even there via the USB cable.
The device will be dead.
The phone literally has a better chance of survival / repairability if you smash it with a hammer.
Ok I wasn't clear enough, english is not my native language too, maybe I wrote not in a right topic, but I assure you guys that I was not so stupid to just flash HTC Amaze software right to my Senasation. lol
But what I mean was : There is HTC Amaze Camera Mod already fo Sensation GB, many users are waiting for HTC Amaze Camera Mod for Sensation ICS. There's was no hope for this mod until ICS for Amaze came out, but we still need that kernel source was released ?

Hello. I'm semi-bricked so I cannot use android 4.03 roms. They just don't work for me. I loved arhd 5.01 because I thought it would be awful but it isn't. It has epic speech recognition problems though, it just says unfortunately voice search has stopped. It says this for each of the voice needed applications. Does anybody have any other 4.01 roms? Preferably sense but I don't mind
You could try hypernonsense, so smooth, fast and stable.
Is it android 4.01 or gingerbread
Please stop flashing your phone until you know what you are doing. I would think after all of the trouble you had previously after flashing firmware being stuck with s on and your phone being in an unusable state you would have stopped messing with it.
Go back to stock and leave it alone. You are eventually gonna brick it. You need to do a lot of reading so you are not asking for help all day, everyday.

Well im sorry but i dont want to start any arguements. I know exactly what i'm doing and why i am doing it. Android 4.01 roms are the only ones that work for me, yes i did make a fatal mistake but after much reading ( yes i did) i know what's happening
I'm furthermore 'sorry' if i have angered you experienced users but i have not really asked for help with my phone for a while now and i dont intend to. I wasn't posting this to be annoying, I just needed help finding android 4.01 roms and incase anybody else needed them.

Yes I flashed it. I think you should :
1. Flash 3.32 fw
2. Wipe data/ factory reset
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Wipe davlink cache
5.Flash virtuous 4.0.0
6. Reboot
Then if it work you can flash addons, kernels
I don't know why some may say ICS on Sensation is lagy, but I can say it is smoother. I love everything about the update. If you have a Sensation 4G, the ICS update is well worthy to update to. So, the update is not available in the US, it is worth rooting and the whole 9 yards, be advised! Getting ICS on Sensation 4G is a wreck of work, but there are a lot of helpful threads to seek into before attempting anything. I'm rooted/CID/Firmware ready to flash and I love ICS 4.0.3 Sense 3.6 Being on Sense 3.0 Gingerbread can't compare! So, thanks to all of the helpful threads and Developers and last but not least XDA!...CHEERS!

Even that wasn't hard. Unlock your bootloader which is almost fully automated, flash su, done.

ics wokrs like a charm
flashed it 3 days ago, my batt is at 12% !
Can only agree, even for a novice is not that hard to do at all, just have to follow guide (there are quite few around) to the letter and all goes well.
From what I've read is people who cut corners and miss important steps that often have problems with their phones.
Many thanks to everyone here on Xda for their hard work bringing us goodies!
Ok I just wanted to clear up what seems like some confusion that everyone is having. To flash the ICS and Sense 3.6 OTA file all you have to do to a stock Sensation or stock Sensation XE is to S-off your Sensation first then write Super CID to your Sensation. That is it really, you have to S-off because branded Sensations will only flash ROMs that have the correct security clearance for whatever carrier that the branded Sensation is from. You need Super CID so the OTA file will pass the cid check during the flashing process. You do not have to be rooted as being rooted has nothing to do with being able to flash a ROM.

I have not had a HTC phone in years, Mytouch 3G to be exact. I read the treads before I even think about flashing, and boy did I see a few with bricked phones soft bricked/ hard bricked, and lots that was confused. I'm a good guy and I just hate when somebody destroy something they care about. So, with that said, I hope to put precaution in those who are fast to act and slow to read. Thanks to all of you for sharing your thoughts about ICS, my feelings are likewise

Hi guys
after searching in this forum i found no similar issue to my sensation and i have decided to ask on a post ....
i have htc sensation 4g Tmobile (or maybe had ha ha ah ).
the phone is with me since November 2011, and i am flashing Roms here in the xda with no such issue never .before one month my screen was damaged and i have decided to send him to one of the labs for repair, and they did replace my screen and it worked well .after 3 weeks i flashed ARHD 6.6.3 and it worked for few hours and then went dead and i mean can't go either to recovery hboot fastboot even my PC does not recognize it .
i must say that when connecting it to the cahrger the orange led turn on for few seconds and then goes off thats it the phone stays off and sometimes it vibrate few times and the screen is totaly black no light at all .
is that mean that my device is bricked? or it could be related to the screen replacement
appreciate any help

Yes..I think there's something going on with the custom firmware/kernel or whatever we're putting on. I don't think it's the ROM since people with different ROM is having problems with it.
The thing is..all these are happening when the phone actually booted up and then stopped working. Not like it couldn't boot up after attempting to update ROM or install because it was interrupted half way.
So something is messed up and killing the phone. Or is it a hardware thing that many people are experiencing?
The thing is with the firmware....its not like its a test firmware leak anymore. The 3.32 firmware haw been released by HTC as part of their official ICS upgrade. If its part of the problem wouldn't we start to see a lot of failed phones? Also isn't Mike's Rom also based on the official RUU of the HTC upgrade?

Which version of HTC Sense should I go with after I S-OFF? I like Sense 4.0, which my brother has on his One S, but Sense 3.6 has also caught my eye.
Sense 4 isnt perfectly functional but unless you use BT alot it doesn't matter.I'd go for S4 personally (Although im on MIUI at the minute as the battery life is far better than any sense variant)
I don't actually have a Bluetooth. I mostly like eye candy. I like aosp, I'm a man of bells and whistles. I like to be able to show my friends the advanced graphics and such.

Most definitely S-off, with S-off you have full read write permissions for all partitions. With HT Dev unlock you only have read write permissions for your System, Boot, and Recovery partitions. Plus you have to flash the boot.img for each ROM you want to use manually via fastboot command or use Smartflash in 4EXT.
Sorry but I do not know about Darktremor.

You could try running ruu from website but it will lock your bootloader. Or you could just flash one from the inspire dev thread. There are a few different ones with this base.

They also have a link to download it on the AT&T Inspire support forum. It may break the root on your phone though and there are problems with the update on rooted phones in other posts on XDA. I would just look at another ROM that has whatever improvements you want. I updated my stock Inspire and I am not overwhelmed with the upgrade. I will be looking at rooting and a different ROM for mine this weekend. I can not post the AT&T link, not enough posts yet, but as I said, I would not advise you to upgrade the result is marginal at best and has slowed my Inspire and reduced the call volume.

I have updated by manual method even before I read your post and took a chance. Rightly said by you It has marginal improvement. More over my RAM is almost full. Speed got reduced. Even though these are my first impressions I hope they may subside in future.
Can you guide me how to release my RAM memory. Most of times it is 500 full and 100 free. If problem persists can we roll back to our previous version of HTC sense. If it is possible please let me know.
