Hi guys
after searching in this forum i found no similar issue to my sensation and i have decided to ask on a post ....
i have htc sensation 4g Tmobile (or maybe had ha ha ah ).
the phone is with me since November 2011, and i am flashing Roms here in the xda with no such issue never .before one month my screen was damaged and i have decided to send him to one of the labs for repair, and they did replace my screen and it worked well .after 3 weeks i flashed ARHD 6.6.3 and it worked for few hours and then went dead and i mean can't go either to recovery hboot fastboot even my PC does not recognize it .
i must say that when connecting it to the cahrger the orange led turn on for few seconds and then goes off thats it the phone stays off and sometimes it vibrate few times and the screen is totaly black no light at all .
is that mean that my device is bricked? or it could be related to the screen replacement
appreciate any help

were you running a custom kernel, what was your firmware?

Yes..I think there's something going on with the custom firmware/kernel or whatever we're putting on. I don't think it's the ROM since people with different ROM is having problems with it.
The thing is..all these are happening when the phone actually booted up and then stopped working. Not like it couldn't boot up after attempting to update ROM or install because it was interrupted half way.
So something is messed up and killing the phone. Or is it a hardware thing that many people are experiencing?
The thing is with the firmware....its not like its a test firmware leak anymore. The 3.32 firmware haw been released by HTC as part of their official ICS upgrade. If its part of the problem wouldn't we start to see a lot of failed phones? Also isn't Mike's Rom also based on the official RUU of the HTC upgrade?

I can walk you through the un-bricking process if you're up for it?

A jtag is hardware that is manually soldered onto the motherboard in order to be able to write to the whole emmc without it needing to work. Is used for recovering devices from full hardware bricking. Ie deleted bootloaders ect.

It's still relevant and could work. An old post doesn't mean it's unusable.
May be worth trying if it does revive the phone.

Hi,
If you are s-on, you need to follow THIS THREAD
It basically requires you to install 4 EXT recovery, and use the "Smartflash" option to flash your custom ROMS

Hello. I'm semi-bricked so I cannot use android 4.03 roms. They just don't work for me. I loved arhd 5.01 because I thought it would be awful but it isn't. It has epic speech recognition problems though, it just says unfortunately voice search has stopped. It says this for each of the voice needed applications. Does anybody have any other 4.01 roms? Preferably sense but I don't mind
You could try hypernonsense, so smooth, fast and stable.
Is it android 4.01 or gingerbread
Please stop flashing your phone until you know what you are doing. I would think after all of the trouble you had previously after flashing firmware being stuck with s on and your phone being in an unusable state you would have stopped messing with it.
Go back to stock and leave it alone. You are eventually gonna brick it. You need to do a lot of reading so you are not asking for help all day, everyday.

Yes I flashed it. I think you should :
1. Flash 3.32 fw
2. Wipe data/ factory reset
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Wipe davlink cache
5.Flash virtuous 4.0.0
6. Reboot
Then if it work you can flash addons, kernels
The Offical ICS update came out for the HTC Amaze for T-mobile, Can you use the radio from that for the T-Mobile Sensation 4g ? might be a dumb question

Add a few more nevers in there as a precautionary measure.
I know you get it now, but just to be clear to anyone who finds this thread in the future this is not something you can experiment with then go back if it doesn't work.
If you flash the radio of another device, or the firmware of another device, you will have an absolutely unrecoverable brick situation. You won't be able to flash the correct radio / firmware because you won't even be able to get into your HBoot by pressing power - volume up. You won't be able to use ADB to put the right versions on because the device will be completely powered down and your computer won't recognize that it's even there via the USB cable.
The device will be dead.
The phone literally has a better chance of survival / repairability if you smash it with a hammer.
Ok I wasn't clear enough, english is not my native language too, maybe I wrote not in a right topic, but I assure you guys that I was not so stupid to just flash HTC Amaze software right to my Senasation. lol
But what I mean was : There is HTC Amaze Camera Mod already fo Sensation GB, many users are waiting for HTC Amaze Camera Mod for Sensation ICS. There's was no hope for this mod until ICS for Amaze came out, but we still need that kernel source was released ?
Hey guys
My brother got the sensation a while ago, so i took it, rooted, and flashed a new rom.
I also think I updated the firmware because its running ICS(used to be 2.3).
Anyway, the phone is very laggy and slow plus when I get a call most time it reboots.
I flashed cyanogen rom (4.2.2) and through the set up it rebooted.
I wiped every thing before I installed CM.
Has any body experienced this before? any ideas?
Thank in advance m8s:good:

any ideas guys? could it be a hardware issue?
guys after flashing CM10 the phone works great but it over heats a lot and most of the time when I get a call, I answer, it reboots..
Whats the problem with this phone
I don't think it's a hardware issue. You could try a stock ROM or an RUU to see if the problem is fixed. Try clearing the cache and data from the phone app and see if that fixes it.

Before installing CM10, I cleared the cache and date, rest to factory and wiped dalvik cache. I always flash roms on my oneX and DHD but never experienced this problem.
I noticed something, after booting in CM10 for the first time, the prior venom wallpaper was there which was awkward...
could be this the recovery? Im currently using CWM flashed directly from play store.
PLZ help guys this phone is becoming very annoying, almost every call I receive it will reboot
Hmm...I am running out of ideas. I think you need to somehow re-install the phone.apk, but this is coming from a semi-noob. You might need a pro to help you on this.
One more idea... Did you try putting a piece of cardboard by the battery to keep it in properly (although it's only when you open the phone app)

Here it is...
As I mentioned in the first post that my brother uses the phone.
Sorry to disappoint you but the problem was from the battery
I dont know how i did not think about it.
I folded a piece of paper and placed it behind the battery and since then it never rebooted

Did you try going back to Stock ROM? I would strongly recommend flashing back to the Stock Rom and then --
Enter the following line of USSD code in your Phone Dialer to get into the Diagnostic Menu
type *#*#3424#*#* and you will enter in HTC Diagnostic menu 3424 means (DIAG)
Test your Wifi and Bluetooth from there. If you are still not getting any positive results, then go the Settings > About Phone > Software update and check for any updates regarding the phone from Htc.
I faced a similar problem regarding Wifi not powering on and it turned out to be a Settings Update which broke the Wifi. I uninstalled the update and the phone worked as a charm.
Good Luck,
Ravi.

The golden pins in the back cover also need to be clean in order to Wi-Fi work.
EDIT: Make sure the golden pins & back cover are very clean, and in contact properly.
