Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G 2 x 2000mAh Battery+ Charger

For
SAMSUNG
Epic 4G (SPRINT)
I am very happy with the battery life. Getting about 7hrs plus on light surfing, with just data 3g on constant, and bluetooth use only on when needed. Sorry I dont have one of those phone screen for proof but rest assured it the best slim fit battery out there that I am aware. After purchasing the mAh 1800 generic, the mAh 1950 QCell and finally Samsung 2000 mAh which is the best quality being that its not generic or fake just pure brand, and I noticed the difference in performance. Using right now Clean GB 1.1.2 on BML and I mainly use phone for talk with opening 1 or 2 pages of web and some on & off bluettoth, no 4g, no wifi, vibrate or silence, screen off in 2min, no live wallpapers = solid 7hrs for me. Results may vary depending on your apps but I stop using memory apps just a fresh install of CleanGB.
Fit on Epic 4g Sprint sph-d700 phone is tight but good. Plus I use Seidio ACTIVE Case for Use with Samsung Epic 4G - Black so it snugs real nice the back cover with battery.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1Y2D6V06D7ZPGDM5F4SF
Anyway www.htcexpress.com delivered quick USPS and even found a coupon to get 10% off so I purchased 2 orders for $62.00 for 4 batteries and 2 charger, one for my girl. I'm good to go when traveling I have my Samsung 2000 mAh in phone and one spare in jean pocket enough to cover me for when I charge at home.
P.S. i used this code OFF10 in the shopping cart under Vouchers and guess what its cheaper by 10% until supplies last or offer ends.
As always Thank You XDA for all of your wonderful forums on ROMs and Themes, hope you can enjoy this Epic battery Review...

Hey OP, I've never heard of these cells before. Would you be interested in sending me one for testing over in my Battery Reviews Thread. I'd be interested to see how they hold up. They are very sneaky making it look so OEM styled

You must be unlucky, my Hero's charger like that from years ago still works even though you have to manually put the prongs into the outlet lol.
My Epic one is still perfect
Honestly, I don't see why anyone would get this. Unless you need a charger you could get two official 1800mah batteries for just a few dollars more (assuming that is legit ).

Somehow I doubt that.. I got some "1800mah" 3rd party batteries about a year ago and while they worked great at first, they slowly deteriorated and now they won't even last an hour, while my stock 1500mah still lasts at least 15h with light use and is about 1.5 years old.
Stock Battery average at best...
Yeah on stock I would get like 4-5hrs at best now I can last solid 7hrs so to answer your questions the more mAh the more power you can store in it. The trick I have found is not to let go to 0 more like 10 or 20 % before a full charge.
As for the extra charger its neat to take it on the go but I use my cradle charger for home recharging.
I think the 1800mAh Samsung battery is overrated just like the expensive Seido Extended Battery. The 1500mAh and this one both are made in china except this one might be third party because it does have www.chichitec.com printed in the back cover but in the end its just a battery with 200mAh more than Samsung. I might just have to buy this OEM Samsung 1800mAh battery that everyone praises just to see the difference.
Anyway this is just for those who want to have a little bit extra without the bulge of a extended battery cover. I am happy with it and just wanted to share and try it out has suggested in my other thread by a fellow member.

If you've only used that battery for a few cycles, I'd love to see what it actually weighs in at over in my Phone Battery Review Thread
What programs to test with?
I will do it but don't no what apps should I use like screen shot apps or battery measuring apps. Can you suggest any free or paid apps on goggle play I should focus on so that I can post some screen for you m8's? Thanks for your input.

The whole idea of the 1800mAh OEM battery is that it fits with the original back cover not making it to bulky, the battery is actually capable of lasting all day with medium-usage. At least compared to my year old 1500mAh one

Battery Monitor Widget is a good one. You need the widget on your home screen for it to monitor.
The built in battery stats should give more than enough info. Post screen on time, overall stats, and the graph.

Updated screenshots as requested. How do I show off screenshots blown up inside the post instead of small like attachments?
Anyway can go a good 9hr+ even better than previous stated. One note when charging on USB I get 100%, after unplug I only see 94% (1880 mAh) don't know if this is because I charge in phone or I should use their wall charger to get the full 100% from point of turning on phone.
Now I hear theres a 2300mAh but reviews sound skeptic. Will have to do some more research, but I think I have bridged the gap with extended and slim using this battery.

Well mugen is 1800mah and i saw many good reviews on the threads. It looks like it gives 1-2 hrs of extra time compare to stock. The only downside is its price... 40 dollars for a battery..
Which one should i get? I can get the stock htc g2 battery from tmobile for 7.99 but downside of it is i have to carry around.
Whats your guys opinion which one would you get?

Tmobile. Just call tmobile and you are having problem with battery life and you went through techinal support and did hard reset and everything.
So you dont have to go through that stupid step.
Then they will send you the replacement but you have to pay for shipping

the 1800 mah battery would net your more like an additional 5 hours. on a normal day on stock battery i go through about 65% of my battery (unplug at 7:30am and recharge at around midnight)
as long as it fits, it's fine.
now the 1500 one will net you an hour or 2 extra without the extra bulge.

Would you recommend chichitecs red battery. Or mugen
Chichitec or mugen? I'm going to get a case and just take out the battery metal cover so bulging is not that big of a problem

I have personally not used either (since I'm kinda happy with the stock battery) but I would recommend the Mugen. It's a well known brand, it's got lots of good back up here on xda developers (based on spec sheets and testing) and that 40bucks isn't that bad if you consider that you'll get a good amount of battery life on you.

I've posted this set of batterys in a few other threads, I don't know if it is really 1800mah BUT it is for sure better then the stock battery and you don't have to modify it at all. Been using it for a couple months now and can make it through the day no problem. Some people don't like the cheap/generic ebay batterys, but Im happy with its performance. I think a few others on here have been using it too, don't know what their results are yet.
Pulled the trigger and ordered the chichitec batteries lastnight.

If you don't have a problem with a bulky back and want extreme battery life, you should check out the 3500 mAH batteries on eBay. I got myself 3 of them and I only need one due to the long battery life, by the time I come home on the second day, I can just plug it in and charge it fully for the next 2 days.

Isn't the metal battery cover integrated into the antenna? Check the nubs on the lock side of the case and the plates they touch on the cover.
i personally wouldn't think so
if it is attached to the antenna, when ever you touch the back of your phone it would affect the antenna so no~

I was looking on Ebay, and I came across this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/X2-1800mAh-...ccessories&hash=item27be899b8b#ht_2747wt_1144
$12 for a 1800 mAh battery for the Epic 4G touch! This is good news considering it would fit in the Epic 4G's battery slot, correct?
One thing that threw me off was:
"Compatible with :
SAMSUNG i9100 GALAXY S 2 II
EPIC 4G TOUCH SPH-D710 SPRINT (Not for Epic 4g)"
It still works with the Epic 4G though right? The statement is wrong?

What about this then?

Btw I have a 3500 mAh battery, but I would love to find a battery that would give a significant increase and still look the same.
If you don't buy the Genuine Samsung 1800mAh battery then there's no difference between buying those or ebay batteries marketed as OG epic batteries. Take for example your 3500mAh battery. If you bought it from a reputable company (seido, mugen) than you can expect that 3500mAh to be about 2450mAh (about 70% of stated capacity). OEM batteries are pretty much exactly what they're claimed to be (96-100% of stated capacity).
So unless you get a really good deal and like swapping out multiple low cap batteries it's usually better to just buy OEM.
I just bought 2 Anker 1800mah batteries I will let you know how they hold up.
Has anyone tried the Hyperion 1800mah epic touch battery? They have 2 batteries and the wall charger for $25 and I'm thinking about jumping on it?

then clearly you don't want the longer lasting battery i have the OG epic with the Hyperion cover and battery you think yours is going to add bulk hah. Yeah right.
Mine has bulk and after a few days got used to doesn't hurt my daily routine at all, still can access it out of my pocket, etc.... yours w/extended battery will be the size of my phone stock. or a tad bit bigger.
He doesn't want an extended door. He wants a slim battery with a little extra juice. Stop forcing things on people when they've clearly stated that "isn't" what they want and when the thread itself isn't about what your trying to shove down people's throats.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
I have the Seidio Active X case and love the look and feel of it, no I don't want an extended battery. The stock 1500mah battery will get me through a little more than half a day, I don't mind swapping out batteries from the wall charger once a day. I asked if anyone has used the Hyperion 1800mah so I know if it will fit like the OEM epic touch battery will.
I appreciate your suggestion and have looked at extended batteries and I'm simply not interested in that. I guess its a matter of preference, you prefer one big ass battery that will last all day, I prefer 2 stock sized batteries to get me through the day.
Back to my original question since it never got answered, has anyone tried the Hyperion epic touch 1800mah battery and is it the same size as the oem? K, thanks.

Well I think the guy has an OG Epic and wants to use a generic battery for the epic touch with it, while you keep saying that your phone, being the OG epic, is fat as hell and I think that what your getting from this is that he has an Epic Touch, which I doubt considering his sig, I could be wrong though.

Where did you get this? My stock battery is 1500 mAh, same with the other two Epics here in the house. I got a 3200 mAh battery and I enjoy the capacity even if it makes holster options very limited. It would be nice to find a slightly roomier battery that didn't need a new back cover to get for them - and maybe me. I rarely dip below 70% on this monster, so it might be nice to have the slim 1800 and save my 3200 for days when I know I'll need that double capacity.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005X9GDMW/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
It was $10 with free shipping so I thought it was worth a shot... I received it about 2 days ago and I cannot tell the difference between the stock battery..
This sucks!
So yes, obviously I didn't expect it to be 4500 mah for $10 but I thought it will be at least 3200 or 3000. It is not.
I just want to warn others before they buy it and to hear other peoples experiences if there are any.
If you want a decent extended battery, buy the Hyperion.
I have that batt and the matching honeycomb case you can get with it and I love it.
I never have to worry about battery life anymore (even running stuff like iheart radio or Sirius online which both totally kill battery life)
I even like the feel/weight of the phone with it installed. When I bought it, I figured I would only use it occasionally. Now that I am used to using it, I never take it off the phone. The phone with the standard battery and my awesome rock quicksand case feels way too thin to me now (something I never thought I would say)
thanks morton....
I will try to see if I can return this battery.
I looked at amazon for the battery you recommended. I found it but I also found another battery: (I can't post a link)
It's called QCell and it is rated at 4200.
Any thoughts on this one?
The one you recommended is more popular but this one has NFC and it also has much more reviews.
Another thing to consider is the separate cradle battery charger that comes with a 2100 battery. This way there is always a battery on charge for a quick swap.
Weigh it. At the most basic, the amount of active material in a battery determines its overall capacity. A 4500mAh battery should be significantly heavier (roughly double) than the stock battery.
Another vote here for the Hyperion 4000 mAh battery. Very happy with it!!!
:good:

So far the Anker aftermarket battery has been working very well as my 2nd battery.
samsung.com has it for $40, $50 for the kit, it is currently on backorder, i'm thinking they should have it in a week or two, just keep checking. also, don't forget to register your phone with them, you'll get an email for 50% off cellphone accessories priced no higher than $50, max 5 items.

I ordered two of these batteries and they just came in today. The battery and the cover don't make the phone that much thicker.
I agree on the Anker Batteries. Had two of those for my EVO 3D after buying all sorts of different batteries. They are the only ones that lasted for me.
Testing out one of the extended batteries. Starting at 90% power. I'll report back after several hours with usage statistics.

I just received these batteries and charger..
3 x 3000mAh battery + US Wall USB Charger For Samsung Galaxy S4 4 IV I9500
Works good, no NFC (as with most cheap extra batteries).. Battery Monitor Pro registers 3100mAh :good::good::good:
a bit for a tight fit as you'd expect from an extended battery that fits with the stock backplate (which bulges very slightly)
So far so good though

Pics? I'm guessing NFC no longer works? This might be useful for work days regardless please post screen tome after your depletion

5 hours off the charger (starting at 90%) and I'm down to 59% power after moderate/heavy use. Keep in mind that this is an initial charge.

Cool. Do you think that we could use the GS3 extended 3000mah battery in the GS4?

Those are the ones I bought XD hoping they work fine!
Just bought the Anker battery, arriving Tuesday. Will be interested to see how it fairs considering I bought it brand new for only £10, with the official Samsung battery costing £35. As long as it fairs up relatively well, I'm not fussed about not having the NFC capability.

Used same branded batteries as spares for my Galaxy Nexus and they perform fine. You probably won't get the same as from the official battery but these are well worth it for those who need some extra juice and don't care about losing NFC.
A screencap of my 5200mAh battery on its initial charge.
When Samsung released big-screen Galaxy Note seriers smart phones and get the market, we have 5.8 / 6.3 inch GALAXY Mega, 5.9 inch HTC One Max, 6.4-inch SONY Xperia Z Ultra, the coming 6.0 inch Nokia Lumia 1520 ... ... Do we really need big like tab smart phone ?
Not only for the phone itself, we have more and more third party factories offered huge capacity replacement batteries, The Galaxy S3 has 2100mAh original battery, after that, we found 4200mAh, 7000mAh replacement batteries in market. The Galaxy S4 has 2600mAh original battery but we saw 7500mAh which so called world's largest S4 battery in the world.
Well well well ... that's not the end, I just noticed Anker released 7600mAh S4 replacement on Amazon and the nice price is only $32 free shipping.
This beast comes with two different back covers -- black and white. The huge innovative is they provided a 2600mAh internal battery plus a 5000mAh extended battery in the back cover. You need to use the internal battery and battery case together in order to prolong the battery's lifespan. What are you expecting for this one?

Anker has really good products but for me, I think I'll pass. Large capacity but no NFC. Also, great if you run your phone naked. I bet it will be a pain to get a protective case around that thing. I'd rather pay $7 more and get the ZeroLemon Extended Battery.

No. Near Field Communication means what it means, it needs to be near. With the thick extended battery covering the OEM battery.. It wont work.

that is correct. you can not get the factory battery work with extended battery. I haven't really used NFC once but I fear I might in the future, so for me it is not that important.

I've read that the Seidio Active Extended Battery Case works well with the Hyperion battery and just well enough with the Anker 5200.
Also: Is the Anker really larger than the Zerolemon Extended 7500mAh? Why wouldn't it fit into the Zerolemon case made for that battery?
Amazon product page and picture here
(I'd hate to sell Anker products in the UK, given the obvious rhyme!)
Hyperion has one out too with nfc and a 24 month gurantee

The shipping took longer than I thought, so I just received it this Saturday. :silly:
There was a definite gain in thickness and weight once I installed the battery, but it's not that bothersome. I'd compare it to Zerolemon's 7500mAh extended battery. (I'll post some pics soon.)
I've only gone through one complete cycle (fully charge and discharge) since most of the time I forget to drain it all the way. Anker's instructions recommend to go through about 4-6 cycles of charging and discharging the battery before seeing actual results. (I asked via email.) Once I've gone through those cycles, I'll report back. The battery is doing moderately well so far. I'm at 26% after a day and nine hours, with 3 hrs of screen on time, about 30 minutes of GPS navigation, sync on, push notifications of email and social networking, all smart features on, LTE on, and 75% brightness. :good:
hey guys just wanted to see what kind of battery life you guys are getting out of this battery? i have this already on my s4 but my battery life varies, i am running gummy rom 4.4 using ktoonz 11/16 kernel, im seeing only about anywhere from 8-11 hours of use on a moderate to very moderate use, but i did read somewhere that they recommend you fully charge then use all the way dead on battery like 5-6 times can someone re-iterate me and correct me if im wrong? my frist initial full charge use was awesome...as i got 34 hours out of my battery with about 17% left, but that was light to moderate use.
I'm on my 2nd 7600.. returned the first one because it wouldnt hold a charge very long.
so far im on my 3rd cycle with the 7600.. and it's hit or miss about lasting longer.. because i dont see a way to force the 2nd battery to charge...

I have the zerolemon battery. I forgot the exact mah, but it last me the day with how much I use my phone, full brightness and such.
ok guys update, i've let my phone go through the full charge and completely dead cycles 3 times now, i am now on my 4th charge, but this time it charges up more slowly, i charged it for about 3 hours and it was up to 79% its now been 19 hours and 18min and im down to 50% on battery i think its pretty good so far now, alot better when i was just randomly charging it.
posting another update, battery went completely dead from 79% charge at 1 day 11 hours. moderate useage..... Great battery life!
