1800 mAh battery - Epic 4G Accessories

I was looking on Ebay, and I came across this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/X2-1800mAh-...ccessories&hash=item27be899b8b#ht_2747wt_1144
$12 for a 1800 mAh battery for the Epic 4G touch! This is good news considering it would fit in the Epic 4G's battery slot, correct?
One thing that threw me off was:
"Compatible with :
SAMSUNG i9100 GALAXY S 2 II
EPIC 4G TOUCH SPH-D710 SPRINT (Not for Epic 4g)"
It still works with the Epic 4G though right? The statement is wrong?

It will explode

So don't trust it? :\

That's not the OEM 1800mAh battery from the Epic Touch....sorry to render this thread meaningless lol
Go fat ($8 "3500mAh" battery) or go home if you want better battery life IMHO

What about this then?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BATTERY...ccessories&hash=item19c904ec86#ht_1265wt_1144
Btw I have a 3500 mAh battery, but I would love to find a battery that would give a significant increase and still look the same.

If you don't buy the Genuine Samsung 1800mAh battery then there's no difference between buying those or ebay batteries marketed as OG epic batteries. Take for example your 3500mAh battery. If you bought it from a reputable company (seido, mugen) than you can expect that 3500mAh to be about 2450mAh (about 70% of stated capacity). OEM batteries are pretty much exactly what they're claimed to be (96-100% of stated capacity).
So unless you get a really good deal and like swapping out multiple low cap batteries it's usually better to just buy OEM.

I just bought 2 Anker 1800mah batteries I will let you know how they hold up.

Has anyone tried the Hyperion 1800mah epic touch battery? They have 2 batteries and the wall charger for $25 and I'm thinking about jumping on it?

then clearly you don't want the longer lasting battery i have the OG epic with the Hyperion cover and battery you think yours is going to add bulk hah. Yeah right.
Mine has bulk and after a few days got used to doesn't hurt my daily routine at all, still can access it out of my pocket, etc.... yours w/extended battery will be the size of my phone stock. or a tad bit bigger.

He doesn't want an extended door. He wants a slim battery with a little extra juice. Stop forcing things on people when they've clearly stated that "isn't" what they want and when the thread itself isn't about what your trying to shove down people's throats.

I have the Seidio Active X case and love the look and feel of it, no I don't want an extended battery. The stock 1500mah battery will get me through a little more than half a day, I don't mind swapping out batteries from the wall charger once a day. I asked if anyone has used the Hyperion 1800mah so I know if it will fit like the OEM epic touch battery will.
I appreciate your suggestion and have looked at extended batteries and I'm simply not interested in that. I guess its a matter of preference, you prefer one big ass battery that will last all day, I prefer 2 stock sized batteries to get me through the day.
Back to my original question since it never got answered, has anyone tried the Hyperion epic touch 1800mah battery and is it the same size as the oem? K, thanks.

Ok? But he already said he didn't want that, yet you continued on about why he should get it anyway and ignore the bulk cause it's worth it, ect?
There's also that whole factor of what the thread is about.
1800 mAh battery <---note the title, there's plenty of other threads for larger capacity battery discussions.

Forget it because you clearly dont understand its not worth arguing why trying to explain things. He will make his decision and we all can move on.

I finally upgraded to the 1800 mAh OEM battery, and now rarely go below 50% usage by the end of the day. I'll probably swap the one in the wife's Epic 4G soon too. Love it so far.

Well I think the guy has an OG Epic and wants to use a generic battery for the epic touch with it, while you keep saying that your phone, being the OG epic, is fat as hell and I think that what your getting from this is that he has an Epic Touch, which I doubt considering his sig, I could be wrong though.

Where did you get this? My stock battery is 1500 mAh, same with the other two Epics here in the house. I got a 3200 mAh battery and I enjoy the capacity even if it makes holster options very limited. It would be nice to find a slightly roomier battery that didn't need a new back cover to get for them - and maybe me. I rarely dip below 70% on this monster, so it might be nice to have the slim 1800 and save my 3200 for days when I know I'll need that double capacity.

Battery

The battery on the G2 looks almost the same as then one from the Touch Pro 2. Are they the same? I don't have my Touch Pro 2 anymore.
I did a comparison at the corp store. It's a bit thicker (you can feel with finger).
All you have to do is to flip the battery and cut the corner by the connectors, but the thickness may block the back cover even though it's 0.3mm thicker.
Good to know. The G2 might actually use the same battery as the HTC Eris and Dinc. Anybody can confirm that? I want to pick up a couple of batteries and a charger on ebay but don't want to pay a premium price just because they are listed for the G2 only.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
Damn HTC , may wanna check the form factor of the battery it self.
I have a mytouch slide which has the same battery as the g2, 3.7v dc 1300mah
Thing is, not only would you have to flip it face side down to align with the pins, but the nub is backwards making the ass end of the battery stick out a bit too much, dunno what snappin that lil peace off would so as Im not a battery geek, and Im not sure how far the cells inside and its caseing are etc :\

Really if i last till 4pm that is like heaven for me. I have charger in my car and work but still i hate that i have to keep my phone on the charge all the time I will be looking for a 1800 battery to replace the OEM battery
Here's to that.
Haven't had my G2 long, but the few days I have I've been around 20-25% at 5pm. I take it off the charger at 6am when I head to work.
Used a 2300mAh in my G1 - it spoiled me!
So I'm guessing no one has any information regarding if there is any extended batteries for the G2 yet? I just got my G2 yesterday and I pulled it off the charger this morning at 6:30 a.m for it to be dead by 4:30 p.m. I definitely want something to last a little longer than that.
As far as I've seen, there aren't any extended batteries yet. But the phone did just come out. It's going to take the case/accessories/battery companies a few weeks to get stuff shipping, I would assume.
If the battery in the G2 is the same as the one in the Droid Incredible (I am just speculating, they both seem to have the same specs), there is a slim extended 1750 mAH from Innocell on the seidio website.

Don't waste your time with the Seidio extended battery. It is nowhere near the 1750 that it is rated at.
Take a look at this thread: http://androidforums.com/incredible-accessories/98877-seidio-liar-liar-your-pants-fire.html
I can confirm that the Dinc battery does not fit into the G2, due to the tabs built into the corners.
Edit: you would also have to put the Dinc battery in upside down to align the contacts.

I remember reading somewhere that the G2 battery is the same model as the HTC Wildfire battery. Of course I can't find where I read that now. Does anyone know if that's true? I hope so, since G2 batteries on eBay are $30, whereas Wildfire batteries are only 5 bucks.

Actually, upon searching ebay for "HTC vision" batteries Wildfire batteries kept popping up in the titles. Given that there's already extended batteries for the Wildfire that don't seem to be out of proportion, I'm thinking I'll be the guinea pig on this one.

Let us know if it fits! If so, what the difference in MaH is as well as real-life percentages please! I'd love to have a slightly bigger battery, just so I can make it through the day with WiFi on all day...
Superfly has reported in the battery thread in General that he is using a Seido from the Incredible. He is reporting nothing but goodness about it. He did have to slighty trim a corner to get it to fit though.

1800 mAh Battery from ebay

Look, let me start by saying that I read the posts that a lot of people have posted. The reason why I wanted to start my own thread is because the other ones were unclear whether the battery actually fits, or if the battery life is better/worse than the 1500 mAh OEM that comes with the phone. I have included the link in case someone is still looking for this type of battery. I will update the post when I get the battery and I start using it.

I notice the link says this is compatible with the 4G Touch. Does that mean it is not compatible with regular 4G? It looks right, and it looks like the standard back will still work with it. Important to me as my auto dock will be useless if the battery is bigger.

I am very happy with the battery life. Getting about 7hrs plus on light surfing, with just data 3g on constant, and bluetooth use only on when needed. Sorry I dont have one of those phone screen for proof but rest assured it the best slim fit battery out there that I am aware. After purchasing the mAh 1800 generic, the mAh 1950 QCell and finally Samsung 2000 mAh which is the best quality being that its not generic or fake just pure brand, and I noticed the difference in performance. Using right now Clean GB 1.1.2 on BML and I mainly use phone for talk with opening 1 or 2 pages of web and some on & off bluettoth, no 4g, no wifi, vibrate or silence, screen off in 2min, no live wallpapers = solid 7hrs for me. Results may vary depending on your apps but I stop using memory apps just a fresh install of CleanGB.
Fit on Epic 4g Sprint sph-d700 phone is tight but good. Plus I use Seidio ACTIVE Case for Use with Samsung Epic 4G - Black so it snugs real nice the back cover with battery.

Anyway www.htcexpress.com delivered quick USPS and even found a coupon to get 10% off so I purchased 2 orders for $62.00 for 4 batteries and 2 charger, one for my girl. I'm good to go when traveling I have my Samsung 2000 mAh in phone and one spare in jean pocket enough to cover me for when I charge at home.
P.S. i used this code OFF10 in the shopping cart under Vouchers and guess what its cheaper by 10% until supplies last or offer ends.

Somehow I doubt that.. I got some "1800mah" 3rd party batteries about a year ago and while they worked great at first, they slowly deteriorated and now they won't even last an hour, while my stock 1500mah still lasts at least 15h with light use and is about 1.5 years old.
Stock Battery average at best...
Yeah on stock I would get like 4-5hrs at best now I can last solid 7hrs so to answer your questions the more mAh the more power you can store in it. The trick I have found is not to let go to 0 more like 10 or 20 % before a full charge.
As for the extra charger its neat to take it on the go but I use my cradle charger for home recharging.
I think the 1800mAh Samsung battery is overrated just like the expensive Seido Extended Battery. The 1500mAh and this one both are made in china except this one might be third party because it does have www.chichitec.com printed in the back cover but in the end its just a battery with 200mAh more than Samsung. I might just have to buy this OEM Samsung 1800mAh battery that everyone praises just to see the difference.
Anyway this is just for those who want to have a little bit extra without the bulge of a extended battery cover. I am happy with it and just wanted to share and try it out has suggested in my other thread by a fellow member.

The whole idea of the 1800mAh OEM battery is that it fits with the original back cover not making it to bulky, the battery is actually capable of lasting all day with medium-usage. At least compared to my year old 1500mAh one

Anyway can go a good 9hr+ even better than previous stated. One note when charging on USB I get 100%, after unplug I only see 94% (1880 mAh) don't know if this is because I charge in phone or I should use their wall charger to get the full 100% from point of turning on phone.
Now I hear theres a 2300mAh but reviews sound skeptic. Will have to do some more research, but I think I have bridged the gap with extended and slim using this battery.

So I have lol, I can't keep track of all these cheapo battery threads that are always some kind of derivative of 2xxxmAh
My offer stands none the less

HTC Amaze Battery Works on our Phone :D

Simple. The Amaze's battery fits in our device. All you need to do is flip it so the point match up right.
Our battery is 1520 mAh
The Amaze is 1730 mAh. I can get a good 2 days on this battery, I'm not sure how. But I do, and it's great. Much better than buying an extended.
Also after some research I found that the EVO 3D, Shooter, Sensation (All?), and some others have the same battery. Just need to flip the battery to fit.
I'd post Pics, but I only have one working battery now. So trust me on this, I'm sure there's other battery threads. But none talking about other compatible batterys.
i might just get an amaze battery....i was thinking about a mugen but the skeptical about the price and mixed reviews
I'm not going to waste my money. I'm buying the SGSIII at the months close if all goes well with my paycheck. I'll give my sis or mom this phone with Bulletproof installed. I personally can't wait to get rid of this brick. I don't use the keyboard... I must b the only one with this phone who has yet to use the keyboard to type more than a paragraph.

Anker is the best bang for your buck. But modded and rooted, I've increased the battery life of my phone two fold. Phone is definitely usable with stock battery if you tweak it properly

Actually, the Anker battery is marketed for the sensation, so that thread was talking about a compatible battery.

Same here. I won a One S, but had to sell it. Never even used it, I'm in the same ball park as you. I was buying a Note, but I want to keep T-Mo. I'm considering a GNEX, but that GSIII is calling me. Then again, all GNEX owners are saying to buy a GNEX. Wait for the new Nexus. I'm torn, and I really need help. As where all "Friends" here. What should I do? I love AOKP ( have it on my Kindle Fire) But Touchwiz 4, and Quad Cores. You see how this is hard... :T

For the extra little boost, do it. Just buy a real HC branded one. Also the Evo 3D, and Sensations (All?) Work. I have tested the Evo 3D, Sensation 4G/3G/XE. The Amaze. One of the perks of my new Job, lots of phones. So I see what works on what.

Best battery I've used for this phone is the Anker 1900. There is a 2150 that will fit but, it is expensive and not easy to find a real one. I forget who makes it but, the battery life is probably the same as the Anker. Many companies, even MugenPower, lie about the actual mAh of the batteries they make.

You can keep T-Mobile if you buy a Note outright. You can flash a radio that will work with T-Mobile's 4G. The Galaxy Nexus is nice, but the camera is a little lacking from what I've heard. The Galaxy S III will probably be my next phone, but only because I have an upgrade coming up and it will be cheaper than a Galaxy Nexus and Note. Also, there will be some AOSP Roms for the GS III since it will be a pretty high end device.

Well I preordered the GSIII

Certainly mere 12% larger capacity battery cannot give 200% or more usage time, it is not possible (and I'm assuming your standard battery could keep up for 1 whole day - which mine can't).
So there has to be some other factors involved here.
Perhaps your HTC Amaze battery is rated 4.2V instead of 3.7V?
(Ours DoubleShot is 3.7 Volt, and so is Amaze supposedly, but I've seen few 4.2V batteries for Amaze/Sensation on ebay, for example I still have THIS ONE bookmarked - if those are not mistakes, of course)
If so, perhaps running slightly higher voltage battery at lower current would/could extend it's usage time? (although I'm not so sure is it healthy for the device, even though it is only 0.5V difference)
The Anker battery is 4.2V max charge, not 4.2V battery. Most (if not all) 3.7V Li-Ion (and Li-Po) batteries that are 3.7V have a max charge voltage of 4.2V.

Lol, they sure do! Most of the BestBuy extended life batteries are Li-Po. I thought I read that the One S's built in battery is a Li-Po, which would make sense since the cells are generally smaller.
??? 3.7 vol 4.2 vol good or bad ?

is recommended or not recommended extending the battery, especially if it has overclocking 1.5GHz?
I don't think the battery really plays a role in overclocking...

Extended Battery Question

So I was on amazon looking for extended batteries. I've heard that the anker and hyperion batteries are reliable, and that some batteries can be worse than others. I wanted to get two extended batteries (3500mAh ones) and this seemed good:
http://www.amazon.com/Aftermarket-P..._1_6?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1337731035&sr=1-6
does anyone know if this is any good? The fact that it comes with a belt clip is sort of appealing
Would've been nice if it came with an external charger, but I can probably do with the one I already have.
Anyways, anyone have any tips or suggestions concerning good/decent extended batteries for the epic 4g?

Here's a few screenie's from my phone using the Hyperion 3500 mah i have 2 of them and they're about the same.
On CM7 i could get a day's worth of battery with about 1-2 Hours of actual screen on time. Or6 Hours of screen on time and 7 hours on the battery just straight streaming netflix. I have gotten 2 Days before on Cm7 with 1.5 Hours of screen on time for display.
On ICS i can get about 15-18 Hours depending on usage

so none of them are actually 3500 mAh right? and it looks like they can actually be worse than the stock batteries?? I guess it wouldn't be too bad since I don't really mind changing batteries (i'll be getting 2 "3500" mAh batteries)

It would be in your best interest to get the hyperion. I've had great results with both of the ones i have. I barely even complained about a broke backing and they sent me a brand new complete unit free of charge. Cant go wrong with Hyperion.

Or 2x 1800 mAh ankers.
I am actually going to get the Ankers they will be here tomorow so i will go ahead and test them out and reply back here and other battery stat thread.
wonder if this would fit in ours granted its the Epic Touch it should but for us the highest ive seen is 3500 so this could be interesting to see

They aren't 3500mAh no, but while they don't reach their claimed capacity, they offer a hefty value as far as capacity/dollar is concerned. True OEM 1500 batteries can be closer the same price ($7.89 here, still more expensive though) and true OEM 1800mAh batteries are more then double the 1500's in cost (best price I found here was $17.66).
If the swivel case isn't a huge loss for you, maybe get just one battery and see for yourself for much cheaper, $6.53 here

Sounds about on par with how I'd expect the Hyperion to perform, and it's hard to say since it was my oldest Generic but it *seems* as though the larger print "3500" batteries don't perform as well as the small print labeled ones (which if you ever looked at the Hyperion, it has the small print label )
(Thanks for the thread rep'n btw )

just wondering, how exactly do you conduct these tests? and the epic touch's battery is a few millimeters longer than the epic 4g's ='( and it's 4 pronged or w/e while the epic 4g is 3. if aligned correctly, the battery is able to power the epic 4g though

I'm not worried about length or width as the OEM Epic Touch battery (aka the 1800mAh) fits easily into our phones, though I always heard that the Epic 4G's batteries were slightly longer so I was more worried about the Hyperion Epic Touch version being a slight bit too deep (to fit the same capacity) to work...though I think there is a little extra space in the current Generic battery cover that may allow for what little more depth there *may* be (as you can shake the phone and hear the battery jostle around slightly)

Yeah it's weird that sometimes they do that, change some of the phone so that they aren't compatible. Probably the most absent minded business strategy I've ever heard
Just to let you guys know there is actually a set of the 1800 mAh's for our phone and the Epic Touch i got the one for our phone and the 1st charge i got 15-16 HRs and about 3 Hrs of screen on time
I personally use the Yoobao 2800 mAh extended battery from here

I watched several videos on Youtube with recommendations and thats what made me get one. I dont think I have ever had it die all the way on me during the day, as long as I charge it every day or two I have no problems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al_po8oanz0 this guy has multiple videos reviewing these batteries and after trying it out versus a generic 3500 mAh, it is much preferred.

That's okay? but the 3500 mAh Hyperion i can get 4-5 Hours of screen on as well as 18-24 Hours on ICS. Hell on CM7 i got close to 2.5 Days with about 1.5 Hours of screen on time.
Not to mention the 1800 Ankers are slim so it fits without a big back and gets still decent battery life i just got 16 Hours and 3 Hours of screen on time on the 1st charge just opened the battery up and put it in the phone @100% so it hasn't even settled in yet.
