Well mugen is 1800mah and i saw many good reviews on the threads. It looks like it gives 1-2 hrs of extra time compare to stock. The only downside is its price... 40 dollars for a battery..
Which one should i get? I can get the stock htc g2 battery from tmobile for 7.99 but downside of it is i have to carry around.
Whats your guys opinion which one would you get?

Tmobile. Just call tmobile and you are having problem with battery life and you went through techinal support and did hard reset and everything.
So you dont have to go through that stupid step.
Then they will send you the replacement but you have to pay for shipping

the 1800 mah battery would net your more like an additional 5 hours. on a normal day on stock battery i go through about 65% of my battery (unplug at 7:30am and recharge at around midnight)
as long as it fits, it's fine.
now the 1500 one will net you an hour or 2 extra without the extra bulge.

Would you recommend chichitecs red battery. Or mugen
Chichitec or mugen? I'm going to get a case and just take out the battery metal cover so bulging is not that big of a problem

I have personally not used either (since I'm kinda happy with the stock battery) but I would recommend the Mugen. It's a well known brand, it's got lots of good back up here on xda developers (based on spec sheets and testing) and that 40bucks isn't that bad if you consider that you'll get a good amount of battery life on you.

I've posted this set of batterys in a few other threads, I don't know if it is really 1800mah BUT it is for sure better then the stock battery and you don't have to modify it at all. Been using it for a couple months now and can make it through the day no problem. Some people don't like the cheap/generic ebay batterys, but Im happy with its performance. I think a few others on here have been using it too, don't know what their results are yet.
Pulled the trigger and ordered the chichitec batteries lastnight.

If you don't have a problem with a bulky back and want extreme battery life, you should check out the 3500 mAH batteries on eBay. I got myself 3 of them and I only need one due to the long battery life, by the time I come home on the second day, I can just plug it in and charge it fully for the next 2 days.

Isn't the metal battery cover integrated into the antenna? Check the nubs on the lock side of the case and the plates they touch on the cover.
i personally wouldn't think so
if it is attached to the antenna, when ever you touch the back of your phone it would affect the antenna so no~

So, I was thinking of getting an extended battery for my Desire Z and I need some opinions. The batteries I found are:
Mugen Power 1800 mAh
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...nded-battery-for-htc-desirez-t-mobile-g2.html
EVO 4G 1800 mAh (2 Batteries)
http://www.amazon.com/Sprint-Batter...sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=mobile&qid=1294181018&sr=8-1
Price doesn't make a difference too me, I just need better battery life.
They're both pretty much the same thing. If you read through the other battery thread you would know... but I don't blame you for not reading it that thread is loooong!
Anyway I'd go with the chichitec ones since there's 2 of them and a wall charger. Seems like a much better deal.
The mugen fits better. it's made for our phones. the evo 4g leaves a slight bulge on the battery door. annoying for the OCD.
i have both, and i prefer the mugen

The one he posted is not an OEM EVO battery. It is made by chichitec for the EVO. And you can peel the wrapper off of it and it'll fit fine with no bulge.

actually it doesn't. i have the chichitec batteries. i took the wrapper off, AND sanded it. and there is still a bulge. its minor, but it's there.
If you use the Chichi's the bulge in the battery door will eventually ruin the battery
door . It bends the hinges because of the stress over time and then if you decide
to go with the OEM or Mugen battery the battery door is loose and doesnt fit right
anymore . The Chichi's are a bad idea for Vision/Z owners because it ruins the phone.
If you dont care about a $500+ device then so be it but I take care of my phones
like theyre my babies . A cheap $30 battery isnt worth ruining an expensive device .

I sanded mine so much there was very little plastic left . The metal casing
is what kept the door from closing fully . And its rigged to have a piece of
paper under the battery to keep it from shorting out on the SD card tray .
The Chichi's are a bad idea . The Mugen 1800 fits correctly with no rigging
and door issues .
Btw, does anyone know the best place where to buy the Mugen 1800mAh from, their website has it for $45.00 plus free shipping, but 15-25 days shipping and a mugen distributor has it for around $53 including shipping and with a 5% off coupon.
I've been running red Chichitech Evo batteries for 2 and half months, no bulg, no warped door over time, no problems. All I did was remove the wrapper, no sanding or cutting needed.

Having purchased the mugen 1800, I've seen a minimal improvement in battery life across multiple roms. I thought an additional 500 mah would have I bigger improvement.
When I say minimal, an additional 2 hours, I got 8 hours from stock and only 10 from mugen. Obviously I'm a heavy user but I expected at least 30% increase for 30% more mah.
I think I may have been better served with the seido 1700.

My thoughts basically. I'm definitely not seeing a 30-40% improvement in battery life!
I was unfortunate to receive a bad Chichi battery I think. The battery kept restarting on me every time I close my keyboard after using it. The battery also would not power on the phone on it's own. I eventually got it running for an hour and it just died. Tried charging it but couldn't get it to work. No way I could exchange the batter after I have taken the wrapper off and clip some of the plastic off to make it fit. I don't know why people are saying there is no bulge when there especially is one with minor modification.
I would go with a Mugen or Seidio extended battery.
This is turning into a hard decision for me lol, don't know which one to get...
If I were you, and I have the extra cash, I'd go for the mugen.
But, if you don't and need to save all the cash you can get, (like me) go for the red chichis. I went for it and my chichis are awesome! the first week it was worse than the stock battery but then after that the performance was phenomenal. I would usually get around 11 hours of battery life with light use. Now I get around 15 hours or more with moderate use.
Today I made about 1 hour and 30 mins worth of phone calls, some facebooking, some xda browsing, little bit of music, one 5 minute youtube vid, and some regular browsing. I'm currently at 42 percent left of battery life and took my phone off the charger a little less than 11 hours ago.
But the thing with the chichis are that sometimes you get the good ones, sometimes you get the bad ones. My 2 cents.

Can somebody recommend me a spare battery ? I normally keep a charged spare battery in my wallet for cases when the current battery just dies on you and you need your phone on .. I dont mind getting an 3rd party battery as long as the life is good, price is under $20 or something, etc ..
Any suggestions ?

I use a Desire S battery. 1450mah, perfect fit and made by HTC (i am not so keen on those 3rd party batteries as they almost never have the capacity they clame to have and not always fit right) I have the original battery as spare.
I've read the incredible s/2 battery will work. Going to try and grab one when verizon launches it.

I just need one to keep as a spare in charged state in my wallet for those rainy days .. It will end up being used maybe like once a month or something, so I'm not looking for something with necessarily a lot of juice in it .. I just need something to give me a decent performance when my main battery dies on me .. And because I dont require much, I'm also not wanting to spend anything more than $15 more or less ..
Also, what about the ones mentioned here? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953518

i got two of these (two chargers also) and was really impressed with them. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/replacement-3-7v-1500mah-cellphone-battery-with-charger-for-htc-desire-z-vision-bb96100-51190 The downside is they take a long time to ship from Hong Kong.
The batteries last at least as long as the original one on a charge. Also, you can have one charging while using the other in the phone.
I got 2 spare batteries plus a dedicated spare battery charger for 99 cents on eBay... crazy... but they do work fine, mind you. Not as long as an original, but on it's own the spare generic battery can last as close as the original htc battery....
...and I get two and a battery charger for effin 99 cents!!!!!!! plus shipping of course, which cost me 3 bucks... not bad
Hehehe...

The htc evo shifts battery fits our phone perfectly, no modification necessary. Ebay sells some third party batteries for the evo shift which includes 3x1800 mah and a sleak wall charger for them. In my personal experience, they do offer more juice than the stock battery and everything on my phone is fully functional. Oh yeah everything together cost about $15.

sorry man but you better buy an original one. it would be much better than other fake, i bought a battery that was 1900mah, and in the beginning it was better than the oem but, after couple of mounths it just lost his power and i thowed it out... you can try but the best choice is the original one which looks expencive but it worth it...
My battery is the stock, almost 1 years old and pretty good. Last for 3-4 days, avarage usage. Just don't let the li-ion batteries to drain out full.
Mugen power battery offers +3000 battery plus cover. Price 97 dollars.
I've heard the mugen does offer quite good battery life however your phone will be the size of a small cruise liner.

I am very happy with the battery life. Getting about 7hrs plus on light surfing, with just data 3g on constant, and bluetooth use only on when needed. Sorry I dont have one of those phone screen for proof but rest assured it the best slim fit battery out there that I am aware. After purchasing the mAh 1800 generic, the mAh 1950 QCell and finally Samsung 2000 mAh which is the best quality being that its not generic or fake just pure brand, and I noticed the difference in performance. Using right now Clean GB 1.1.2 on BML and I mainly use phone for talk with opening 1 or 2 pages of web and some on & off bluettoth, no 4g, no wifi, vibrate or silence, screen off in 2min, no live wallpapers = solid 7hrs for me. Results may vary depending on your apps but I stop using memory apps just a fresh install of CleanGB.
Fit on Epic 4g Sprint sph-d700 phone is tight but good. Plus I use Seidio ACTIVE Case for Use with Samsung Epic 4G - Black so it snugs real nice the back cover with battery.

Anyway www.htcexpress.com delivered quick USPS and even found a coupon to get 10% off so I purchased 2 orders for $62.00 for 4 batteries and 2 charger, one for my girl. I'm good to go when traveling I have my Samsung 2000 mAh in phone and one spare in jean pocket enough to cover me for when I charge at home.
P.S. i used this code OFF10 in the shopping cart under Vouchers and guess what its cheaper by 10% until supplies last or offer ends.

Somehow I doubt that.. I got some "1800mah" 3rd party batteries about a year ago and while they worked great at first, they slowly deteriorated and now they won't even last an hour, while my stock 1500mah still lasts at least 15h with light use and is about 1.5 years old.
Stock Battery average at best...
Yeah on stock I would get like 4-5hrs at best now I can last solid 7hrs so to answer your questions the more mAh the more power you can store in it. The trick I have found is not to let go to 0 more like 10 or 20 % before a full charge.
As for the extra charger its neat to take it on the go but I use my cradle charger for home recharging.
I think the 1800mAh Samsung battery is overrated just like the expensive Seido Extended Battery. The 1500mAh and this one both are made in china except this one might be third party because it does have www.chichitec.com printed in the back cover but in the end its just a battery with 200mAh more than Samsung. I might just have to buy this OEM Samsung 1800mAh battery that everyone praises just to see the difference.
Anyway this is just for those who want to have a little bit extra without the bulge of a extended battery cover. I am happy with it and just wanted to share and try it out has suggested in my other thread by a fellow member.

Test and see what kind of screen on time these are capable of.

If you've only used that battery for a few cycles, I'd love to see what it actually weighs in at over in my Phone Battery Review Thread
What programs to test with?
I will do it but don't no what apps should I use like screen shot apps or battery measuring apps. Can you suggest any free or paid apps on goggle play I should focus on so that I can post some screen for you m8's? Thanks for your input.

The whole idea of the 1800mAh OEM battery is that it fits with the original back cover not making it to bulky, the battery is actually capable of lasting all day with medium-usage. At least compared to my year old 1500mAh one

Battery Monitor Widget is a good one. You need the widget on your home screen for it to monitor.
The built in battery stats should give more than enough info. Post screen on time, overall stats, and the graph.

Updated screenshots as requested. How do I show off screenshots blown up inside the post instead of small like attachments?
Anyway can go a good 9hr+ even better than previous stated. One note when charging on USB I get 100%, after unplug I only see 94% (1880 mAh) don't know if this is because I charge in phone or I should use their wall charger to get the full 100% from point of turning on phone.
Now I hear theres a 2300mAh but reviews sound skeptic. Will have to do some more research, but I think I have bridged the gap with extended and slim using this battery.

So I have lol, I can't keep track of all these cheapo battery threads that are always some kind of derivative of 2xxxmAh
My offer stands none the less
Has anyone been able to find the battery for sale that is in stock? EB-K600BUW is the part number but nobody seems to have it available including Samsung.
No

So far the Anker aftermarket battery has been working very well as my 2nd battery.
samsung.com has it for $40, $50 for the kit, it is currently on backorder, i'm thinking they should have it in a week or two, just keep checking. also, don't forget to register your phone with them, you'll get an email for 50% off cellphone accessories priced no higher than $50, max 5 items.
I threw the dice, and ordered off of ebay. Should have 2 batteries and a charger in 3 weeks....

Isn't the S3 battery 2100mAh stock? The S4 comes with a beefier 2600mAh battery. Cool that the batteries will work in a pinch though.
Yeah. And It has a little space on the right side of the battery but it fits snug and the phone turns on

I ordered two of these batteries and they just came in today. The battery and the cover don't make the phone that much thicker.
I agree on the Anker Batteries. Had two of those for my EVO 3D after buying all sorts of different batteries. They are the only ones that lasted for me.
Testing out one of the extended batteries. Starting at 90% power. I'll report back after several hours with usage statistics.

I just received these batteries and charger..
3 x 3000mAh battery + US Wall USB Charger For Samsung Galaxy S4 4 IV I9500
Works good, no NFC (as with most cheap extra batteries).. Battery Monitor Pro registers 3100mAh :good::good::good:
a bit for a tight fit as you'd expect from an extended battery that fits with the stock backplate (which bulges very slightly)
So far so good though

Pics? I'm guessing NFC no longer works? This might be useful for work days regardless please post screen tome after your depletion

5 hours off the charger (starting at 90%) and I'm down to 59% power after moderate/heavy use. Keep in mind that this is an initial charge.

Cool. Do you think that we could use the GS3 extended 3000mah battery in the GS4?

Those are the ones I bought XD hoping they work fine!
Just bought the Anker battery, arriving Tuesday. Will be interested to see how it fairs considering I bought it brand new for only £10, with the official Samsung battery costing £35. As long as it fairs up relatively well, I'm not fussed about not having the NFC capability.

Used same branded batteries as spares for my Galaxy Nexus and they perform fine. You probably won't get the same as from the official battery but these are well worth it for those who need some extra juice and don't care about losing NFC.
A screencap of my 5200mAh battery on its initial charge.
