Well, I was at cyanogen 4.0.4, and I wiped it again to reinstall the same rom because it was a issue due to the browser which kept force closing.
After doing so, My phone stays on the green screen. I can get on the bootloader and stuff, I tried wiping it again and It won't work...
I have no idea whats happening.
It's on the green mytouch screen for a while.

FIXED.
Take the SD card out ,
put it in the SD Card Reader,
download a new rom or the same (whatever you feel comfortable)
WIPE 3 times just to be safe,
then install rom
(Takes at least 2 mins to go through)

DONT PANIC!!! .... Take a deep breath and count to 10
How long is a while?
Some take up to 2min for it to boot, as long as you can get into Recovery your ok, might be a bad download.
Try a older ROM that you know is good.
It's been like 15 mins....
I wiped it , so it doesn't install annything and its taking long..
IF you can get into bootloader and recovery you are not bricked.
Reinstall the ROM.

Hello to everyone and respect to all you developers for your hard work!
as you can see i'm noob but i'll try not to be too noobish.
here's the situation.. now, i have hephappy's CM9 bluepill rom installed in my lg p500 and it works just perfect (i mean it,just perfect),
and before that i have flashed custom rom's couple of times with success but once when i tried to boot into emergency mode (vol down+back+power) after that i couldn't get rid of that yellow message every time i restarted or turn on my phone till today.
so, now i'm living with that issue, but it bothers me,i can't understand why yellow emergency screen is showing EVERY time i reboot my mobile.
then i find out that the only way to avoid that is pulling battery out and wait for at least 5 minutes and then switch on (then it's ok - LG logo and blah blah).
but when i try to turn it on for less than 5 mins, emergeny mode will be showing everytime i switched mobile on.
so, i don't have a clue or answer what it could be. i tried to flash stock firmware through KDZ and actually everything seems ok and everything works just fine but that yellow screen still spy on me.
as i said, everything works perfect but when battery is drained or i wanna reboot my mobile i have emergency mode shown,so i must repeat above procedure with pulling out battery for 5 mins everytime.
i hope i didn't complicate this
Try to change RADIO (BASEBAND),maybe it might help you!

yes pal. everything i can remember including booting into recovery with clockworkmod, wiping all data, cache, update with kdz, then root, flash new rom...and everytime everything goes like a glowe, everything is stable, with no errors.
i suppose i'm one of the luckiest lg p500 users when it's about good, stable device, which could be overclocked or tweaked without kernel panic, errors, etc (i heard that differences between same devices can vary).
BUT after all that i have that same issue with yellow emergency mode.
finally, i suppose that yellow screen is the price i must pay at the cost of good stability and great performance
did you try flashing gb stock rom by lgmdp?

If you can get into yellow screen your ok
Last resort use kdz just don't take out battery or disconnect and you should be fine

Because i actualy didn't had any issues excep that yellow screen.so you think it could be helpful?
@darkknight:
It is the only way i can avoid yellow screen by pulling out battery for 5 mins.
I know that my prob is unusal but now i have a lot of apps installed linked with link2sd,so i should find some way to safely backup all that stuff and try to do smtg.

I didnt get the method of flashing rom.. what you said above!!
You root again after updating from kdz.. you have gone wrong somewhere thats why you
get emergency mode everytime you restart.
I would suggest.. clear all the links.. make a nandroid backup. Dont use kdz as its not
required. Go into recovery.. clean everything (specially boot) and flash any rom and see if the problem persists.
which rom and which recovery maybe you can try and change the recovery. I wont reccomend kdz because i flashed it 10-12 times but after that i bricked my phone 2 times while flashing with kdz.
Here it is..
I had official gingerbread used when i found out that cm9 ics was out.then i have wait for stable cm9 rom, till hephappy's premature version.
So,i decided to flash premature,so here is a short procedure..
I don't have exact rooting/flashing guide link right now but i found it on xda forums for p500.
Downloaded short fuse, adb, etc and root via usb & command prompt..everything was ok,device sucesfully rooted,i got superuser.
Next step i installed rom manager from google play and follow flash instructions from xda including nandroid backup, booting to recovery, wiping data, dalvik, battery, everything that could be wiped..then installed premature, gapps, everything goes just fine.
I have been using premature till bluepill cames out.
just before flashing new rom i decided to hard reset via vol up+home+power, but i accidently entered into emergency mode by pressing vol down+back+power instead and after that yellow showing i have issue with it.
Downloaded then stock ginger rom from xda sites (20g),installed via kdz, everything flows fine, rooted againg with same procedure, flashed bluepill rom too with same procedure and still having that yellow emergency mode issue.
I think i made it much more clear

Hi guys
I always wondered how to know if your phone is stuck in a bootloop and did a lot of research of my own and found that if the phone is stuck in a bootloop the LED of the phone and the screen will not dim after a certain amount of time . Bootloop is the problem when your phone doesn't start, it remains on the boot sequence
Bootloops are mainly caused because system files interfering with each other which causes instability and/or crashes at the boot sequence.*To find the cause of a bootloop you have to think about what you did before getting the bootloop.Choose one of the following reasons that caused the bootloop for you and try out its solution.- After flashing a new rom
*If you flash a new (base)rom with odin your /data will be kept. This means your old dalvik-cache will be used for the new system files which would result in a bootloop, to fix this problem:
1. Start your phone in CWM Recovery
2. Go to Advanced
3. Choose "Wipe dalvik-cache"
4. Now go to "Mounts & Storage"
5. Choose "Wipe /cache"
6. Reboot your phone if the problems still exists after doing that and you're sure it's not related to the rom, then you need to do this:
1. Start your phone in CWM Recovery
2. Now go to "Mounts & Storage"
3. Choose "Wipe /data"
4. Choose "Wipe /cache"
5. Reboot your phone
Wanna go back to stock firmware see below
1 Open odin 1.85 download here
http://www.mediafire.com/?36mcl2rs5gwrvsj
2) Shut down your phone completely and make sure it is unplugged from ur PC.
3) Enter download mode by holding down the Volume down and center button and turning on the phone.
4) Press Volume up to continue
5) Run Odin on ur PC and select F. reset time and auto reboot and click on pda and browse for your stock firmware tar or .md5
6) Connect your phone to ur PC and Odin will detect ur phone and the COM ID turns yellow.
7) Click on Start and let Odin flash your phone. Wait for the Green Light and let ur phone restart.
You can also learn how to use logcat from here
http://developer.android.com/tools/help/logcat.html
QED(quite easily done ) this was basically a clue to find if your phone is in bootloop or not I inserted the tutorial to make sure you guys dont keep on checking other post !!!!

Personally I never experienced boot loops after a cwm restore.. restored cm10 to ICS and vice versa.. and if I ever ocassionally got a boot loop then the regular wiping always solved it..just my personal experience..

Hi, i have been looking for answers on the forum, and i learn new things but not how to fix this or what is causing it.
I have buyed i997 from a reseller. He sayd it doesnt work because it have bootloop, but i thinks that is not too much problem getting it working again, so i started searching for the pc drivers n software, then i find here in the forum the stock rom with and without root, i tested them both with odin and the bootloop stills present. I wipe cache and do a factory reset but it keep bootlooping, then think maybe if i update to latest AT&T rom, but no luck.Sometimes the phone just start and theres no bootloop but its very rare and most of the time when i get to the lock screen or setup manager suddently a gapps or something crash and my phome freezes and reboot. I flashed the carbon-jb-v1.6 and suddently it worked fine, no more bootloop and everything smooth,no crashes etc.. then i installed Facebook app and when i was ttyping a message the phone froze up and then restarts, and the bootloop came again, and im stuck on it, and when i pass it, which is very rare, i start typing info in the startup manager and the phone freezes and reboot.. I wipe/format cache, dalvik, factory reset, formated system and data before and after flashing the carbon rom again and it keeps bootlooping. Somebody have similar problems or know how to fix it?
Thanks
P.d. sorry for my bad english.

Thanks man, but you think it can be the power button? When i unplug the battery and put it again the phone doesnt turn on or something, and when it boot up when i lock the screen with the power button it works fine. I set the cpu governor to conservative and since yesterday i didnt have any problem, but sometimes the phone reboots when typing, i think its someting with the processor or when the phone have little ram or something.
Thanks.

If you ran the phone on complete stock GB or FROYO and you are getting boot loops, it may be a hardware issue.
One of the few things that will give you boot loop with the samsung logo while using the phone is the power button.
Either way, it's no big deal to open it and clean it up to see if the problem goes away.

Bootlog Uptime will keep a record of all boots from an Android OS perspective ... It will also track crashes... It won't track events outside of a complete restart (i.e. power button bootloops.. But those are pretty obvious when they occur)
For hardware testing, try Z Device Test... That won't tell you about the buttons though... If your screen turns on without pressing power button or from any other standard event (like receiving a text or a phone call), or the phone restarts by itself, time to get cleaning..

I'm glad to hear you solved your issue.
For JB, use the kernel provided with the rom.

Please relax as all of our phones say that now. I have to say it is quite annoying at times but it will not affect your phone in any negative way. The only coception is that you must watch to make sure you hit the power key when that comes on. If you ever forget it will keep rebooting to that screen and all you have to do is remove the battery and make sure to hit power the next time. I wish there was a way to get rid of it, but the only way is to lock bootloader again. I have never triedbpersonally but have heard it will brick your device because of twrp and the modification to the system. It could be fixed if you decide to try. It would just be a pain in the butt...lol I hope this helps...

XxThat partisa little tricky. From off:
Press & hold both buttons for about two full seconds. At this point release ONLY the power button, but only for half a second. Immediately! press it again (Never let go of volume down) Keep holding until you see a White Screen popup asking to factory reset. Now you can let go of Vol key. Select yes, and then ANOTHER white screen will ask you the same thing, to confirm the first screen. Select yes again. IMMEDIATELY start holding down both vol down and power again. You'll see a warning screen pass by. Let go of power key and quickly press again and hold (never letting go of volume) soon the red lwd light will come on and the splash screen for twrp will start and you re in.
It does take some patience and good timing. In time it becomes second nature and you learn to set up ways to boot directly to recovery from your operating system that way you don't have to do all the key crap. Lol. Make sure when you installed twrp that you removed the battery to power off phone. Also if you have booted your phone to use it without going into twrp first to finish the instructions from the post, which I'm sure you have, i couldn't go without my phone for long. You are going to have to do the install of twrp again. It is very important to boot into twrp first otherwise the stock system will overwrite twrp with it's own recovery again. It sucks but since your boot loader is already unlocked you won't lose all your data this time around. It's just connecting to your computer and using the fast boot commands that you used before. Make sure your twrp.img is in the same folder location as your fastboot\adb and you'll be golden.
Good luck

Sweet. I'm glass I could help. There are a couple of great custom ROMs that are available for this device now. You came at the perfect time. We hand only had these for a couple weeks now. And the gutta that have been working on them have kicked some major butt.

If you enjoy the awesomeness make sure to give these guys thanks by hitting the thumbs at the bottom. Hours are spent mostly non paid hours to bring this stuff to us. And I'd live one too but I don't really deserve one. I'm just here to help the brainiacs with what little I can
This build we are still working on the most. It is working but needs a little tweaking still. You're welcome to downloadand help by report any bugs you find.

This one and the next are both well refined and only have a couple of bugs that are being worked on. I would re commend these for the moment of you are looking for something for a daily driver that you can set up and forget. The remix has a lot of themeing built into it and the lineage is a classic with tons of streamlining and minimal bloat. Very good on these mid range phones.

Sweet. I'm glass I could help. There are a couple of great custom ROMs that are available for this device now. You came at the perfect time. We hand only had these for a couple weeks now. And the gutta that have been working on them have kicked some major butt.
@messi2050 @cospalet and @Travisholt92
You're welcome to downloadand help by report any bugs you find.

.

The only thing that I have heard to work is to go back to your rom that you registered your fingerprint on and delete them manually from that rom. So restore your backup and delete from there. If there isn't a backup than I suppose you could try to manually reinstall stock and make new prints and then delete them, then try to switch rom. I'm not sure why that has been a problem and I personally don't use fp to unlock phone, so I am not the best for advice on this. I hope you figure it out
