Weird question about emergeny mode - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to everyone and respect to all you developers for your hard work!
as you can see i'm noob but i'll try not to be too noobish.
here's the situation.. now, i have hephappy's CM9 bluepill rom installed in my lg p500 and it works just perfect (i mean it,just perfect),
and before that i have flashed custom rom's couple of times with success but once when i tried to boot into emergency mode (vol down+back+power) after that i couldn't get rid of that yellow message every time i restarted or turn on my phone till today.
so, now i'm living with that issue, but it bothers me,i can't understand why yellow emergency screen is showing EVERY time i reboot my mobile.
then i find out that the only way to avoid that is pulling battery out and wait for at least 5 minutes and then switch on (then it's ok - LG logo and blah blah).
but when i try to turn it on for less than 5 mins, emergeny mode will be showing everytime i switched mobile on.
so, i don't have a clue or answer what it could be. i tried to flash stock firmware through KDZ and actually everything seems ok and everything works just fine but that yellow screen still spy on me.
as i said, everything works perfect but when battery is drained or i wanna reboot my mobile i have emergency mode shown,so i must repeat above procedure with pulling out battery for 5 mins everytime.
i hope i didn't complicate this

Try to change RADIO (BASEBAND),maybe it might help you!

yes pal. everything i can remember including booting into recovery with clockworkmod, wiping all data, cache, update with kdz, then root, flash new rom...and everytime everything goes like a glowe, everything is stable, with no errors.
i suppose i'm one of the luckiest lg p500 users when it's about good, stable device, which could be overclocked or tweaked without kernel panic, errors, etc (i heard that differences between same devices can vary).
BUT after all that i have that same issue with yellow emergency mode.
finally, i suppose that yellow screen is the price i must pay at the cost of good stability and great performance

did you try flashing gb stock rom by lgmdp?

If you can get into yellow screen your ok
Last resort use kdz just don't take out battery or disconnect and you should be fine

I heard about lgmdp, but i didn't found myself interested enough to try it
Because i actualy didn't had any issues excep that yellow screen.so you think it could be helpful?
@darkknight:
It is the only way i can avoid yellow screen by pulling out battery for 5 mins.
I know that my prob is unusal but now i have a lot of apps installed linked with link2sd,so i should find some way to safely backup all that stuff and try to do smtg.

I didnt get the method of flashing rom.. what you said above!!
You root again after updating from kdz.. you have gone wrong somewhere thats why you
get emergency mode everytime you restart.
I would suggest.. clear all the links.. make a nandroid backup. Dont use kdz as its not
required. Go into recovery.. clean everything (specially boot) and flash any rom and see if the problem persists.

which rom and which recovery maybe you can try and change the recovery. I wont reccomend kdz because i flashed it 10-12 times but after that i bricked my phone 2 times while flashing with kdz.

Here it is..
I had official gingerbread used when i found out that cm9 ics was out.then i have wait for stable cm9 rom, till hephappy's premature version.
So,i decided to flash premature,so here is a short procedure..
I don't have exact rooting/flashing guide link right now but i found it on xda forums for p500.
Downloaded short fuse, adb, etc and root via usb & command prompt..everything was ok,device sucesfully rooted,i got superuser.
Next step i installed rom manager from google play and follow flash instructions from xda including nandroid backup, booting to recovery, wiping data, dalvik, battery, everything that could be wiped..then installed premature, gapps, everything goes just fine.
I have been using premature till bluepill cames out.
just before flashing new rom i decided to hard reset via vol up+home+power, but i accidently entered into emergency mode by pressing vol down+back+power instead and after that yellow showing i have issue with it.
Downloaded then stock ginger rom from xda sites (20g),installed via kdz, everything flows fine, rooted againg with same procedure, flashed bluepill rom too with same procedure and still having that yellow emergency mode issue.
I think i made it much more clear

I think my lg g2x is bricked (im kind of a noob)

What i did before this problem
1.used the lg support tool to go from froyo to gingerbead (worked great)
2. attempted to use clockwork rom to install icecream sandwhich based rom (it failed)
What i get now
1.If i turn my phone on like i always would i would get the lg logo, and it would stay like that forever
2. if i try to boot into recovery i get "s/w upgrading"
I contacted lg and they said to send it in and wait 2 WEEKS to get it back and there may be an additional charge
Can someone please help me fix this without going to lg. I just want to be able to use my phone again :'(
run this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590523
I did the exact same thing to my phone the other day. Then install the new rom via clockworld after its done.
But if you installed the 2.3.4 then don't update to any rom besides the kwes 2.3.4 because anything else you won't have audio or anything while in call there is no fix for it yet besides using kdz to downgrade.

you have to use nvflash to snap it out of that... I remember i had it stuck on that for awhile until i flashed the stock recovery/bootloader stuff and then reflashed cwm and then it finally came to

if you're unsure of the APX drivers set-up you have a more basic guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
Remove the battery.
Plug in your USB cable to your PC.
Hold Volume Up and Volume Down at the same time keeping them held down.
Plug in the USB cable to your phone. (Keep the buttons held until Windows detects a new APX device.)
Open Device Manager in Windows and you should see "APX Device" listed with an error icon.
Right click on the APX device.
Select 'Update driver software'.
Select 'Browse my computer...'.
Select 'Let me pick...'.
Select 'Have disk'.
Browse to directory you extracted the *driver* software to: One-Click-G2x-recovery-flasher-09-23\APX.
Accept any warnings, including the big red alert (you may need to disable UAC).
Now in Device Manager under 'USB Controllers' you should have an 'NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices'.
If not, uninstall the driver, reboot, rinse and repeat.

I don't think you're booting the phone up into cwm the right way.
Lol do this:
Make sure phone is off. While the phone is off hold down the volume down button.
While still holding volume down, hold the power button.
Continue to hold BOTH the volume down and power buttons. When the SECOND LG logo appears, let go of both of the buttons.
And no offense, but if you're not comfortable with modding your phone... you really shouldn't do it or ask someone else who knows what they're doing to do it.

From my personal experiance with the G2x (i thought i had bricked my phone), i have discovered that it is nearly impossible to brick this phone. I had ran the g2x nullifier and fully wiped my phone clean. When I power up the phone, all i get is the initial white LG logo. Luckely, i discovered the following thread that got my phone functional again:

Try the above thread and see if your phone gets recovered to a functional state.

That script is perfectly fine and didn't hurt your phone at all. It states that it will wipe everything out even the rom you were previously on. So when the phone rebooted it stayed on that LG logo because it didn't have a rom to bootup.
At that point a quick battery pull and reboot into recovery was all you needed to do.

Try flashing the stock recovery thru the one click nvflash utility and leave it off for a few min. Then run the g2x batch cleanup tool and see if it then let's u boot into the recovery. (By holding down volume - when hitting power on)

Ok, so then its safe to assume that you rooted your phone first? Then you set up your phone by using nvflash so you can use ClockWorkMod (CWM)? Then booted your phone into recovery and tried to install ICS? If not done in this order then thats your fault. If you did it in this order then you missed something.
A common mistake is trying to install a ROM via CWM while the phone is running. When you do this the phone restarts and gives you the error triangle with android underneath it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039985 Tells you how to do as well as provides links to everything it doesn't.
As for recovery they provisded the right link. Follow it to the "T" and you'll be ok.
Try the link below

But the key issue was that CWM recovery was destroyed as well after nullifing thus leaving me in a stand still to do something. nvflash was the only thing left to recover the phone at that point which worked very well.
There is pretty much no way that after running either the One-Click or Cleanup Batch that he can't get the phone into CWM unless there is a hardware problem. This most likely means that the problem isn't with the scripts or phone, but with the procedure he is attempting.
Even if nullifier (which I don't think is of much use here) had wiped all partitions, the NVFlash will still pop you out of it and leave you with a working CWM.
So keep reading and keep watching videos of how to do it and make sure your drivers are correct. READ a bunch first.
And remember that he got here due to an LG software problem or issue with operation, not from trying to flash as a noob, so he knows he's in over his head right now.
Remember, we all had to start swimming somewhere and it usually wasn't pretty at first. Mine was a corrupted Motorola RAZR.
It appears that this is an older post, but if you are still having this issue, then maybe I can help. If anyone else finds this later, hopefully it helps them as well. I just did something similar and I thought I was screwed. I rooted my phone, installed a ROM (Hellfire... nice ROM BTW), then I got the nullifier. I installed the ROM before I ran the nullifier because I wanted to make sure the ROM worked. However, after running the nullifier, the ROM didn't work.
The only thing that I could get to show was the LG logo at the startup... no second logo (Blue LG), no SW upgrade... NOTHING. The phone wouldn't do anything else. Luckily, I wasn't the first to have this issue and they found the solution...
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566681
Since you have already done other steps, I am assuming that you already have the drivers installed. So, the only thing you should need to do is download the ROM then install it by clicking flash.bat. The instructions on the page are pretty easy to follow.
No need to deal with the NvFlash until AFTER you do the above procedure. You will need to run it again after the above procedure because it puts it back in the original state (pretty much). The NvFlash will give you the superuser and Clockmod back. You should be good to go after that.
There is no way u can brick the g2x......even if u wanted to.........keep messing around

[Q] Phone isn't turning on

Hey, guys!
First post from me in this forum, although I have been searching for some things for some times.
So, the problem is that I had Cyanogenmod 7.2 on my LG P500 for couple months. And ROM was working ok, but there was some problems and I thought I should get back to stock ROM, because actually it was working better and smoother. So, I searched for stock roms for my phone, found one and started to flash. Everything flashed well, phone booted up and then wave of errors started to come. So I thought that it ain't gonna be usable and tried to install a stock rom through official LG Updater, which obviously wasn't a good thing to do. everything, downloaded, installed, phone booted up and I was waiting with hope that it will boot up (android loading screen at least was showing), but it didn't happen. After that I managed to power phone off with getting battery out and then I tried to fix everything with one tutorial I saw in this forum with kdz updater. but at the begging it couldn't connect with my phone and after that screen showd Emergency Mode. nothing I could do, again took out battery to power it off and now phones doesn't show any signs of life.
What does it mean (maybe my phones is same as brick) and what should I do?
I would appreciate your help.

Plug in the wall charger for about an hour, and then try the buttons - press power button+ volume up button + back button together
keep pressed all three for long duration (maybe 8-10 secs you see yellow screen with written Emergency Mode). Then you are in Emergency Mode.
If no screen yet, then bricked - only LG repair center option.

I NEED HELP, Stock on Grey LG logo, can't flash with smart Flash or LG flash tool.

Well guy i don't know if this kinda of problems occur to any of you, but it first time it happen to me.
Well i was going to flash Pacman CM10 over the ICS 28b, but it didn't work so i had to flash BOOT V21E.
Well it flashed very well, i rooted it and then i start to flash the CWM and the ICS boot loader, i think its the V1.25 but i am not sure. well usually it gives the grey Lg logo. but now i wont start the phone, it stay on Grey LG LOGO, i tried the Resurrection guide but the phone doesn't stay more then a minutes or so on Download mode, i tried Smart flash and LG flash tool but as the Download mode stay only for a minute and it goes off.
i have tried most of the way that i can't fix but it didn't help at all .
What am i going to do to fix this?
You have to enter download mode manually ,, because "omap4boot" make the phone in download mode for few minutes ,,
after you enter download mode manually the flashing will be completed .
By the way ,, you posted in wrong section .

Why did you flash the ICS bootloaders with a GB rom installed?
Flash the GB bootloaders, the easyest way is by using OS_Hacking's All-in-one Tool.
Sorry Mate I didn't realized that i actually posted in here, when i saw i quickly went to general. Anyway I found out what was my problems was and everything is fixed now.
Before i flashed Cm10 i had 100% battery level, so when i start to flashed i got the error 7, well untill i fixed that some how somewhere my battery just went out for no reason, so i had 2% battery left which is no matter what i am gonna do the download Mode won't stay longer that a minute that's why i couldn't flash it, smart flash or Lg flashtool.
thanks for your help anyway and i am really sorry that i posted it in wrong section, next time i will be more cautious.

My tool (All-In-One) doesn't have any problem ,, I have fixed all them in version 1.2 .
That silver lg logo means you have the latest bootloaders , version 1.25a by wkpark (means :- Best Available for Optimus 3D) .
If you have any problem , please report it in the thread . If you want a red LG I can add it in version 1.3 (I will add bootloaders version 1.11 to give you a red LG) .
As I said in the beginning of the thread "I don't have this phone" , I can't know any problem ,, I have fixed every problem I know .
If you have any problem/idea/bug you can post them and I will fix them as well as I can .

[Q] My Tab 7 Plus is possibly hard bricked after JB ROM flash

I flashed the JB ROM on my Tab 7 Plus. After the "succeess" of the flashing as said by Odin v1.85, I tried to turn on the device, but it didn't. I tried to access download mode or recovery mode but it didn't work either. I tried to hold the volume down button and connect the cable to the tablet. That opened the download mode but the screen was "flashing". The rate at which the screen "flashes" keeps increasing until it becomes very fast and the device turns off. I tried to flash a ROM, but Unfortunately it turns off fast that there will be no time for the flashing process to continue.
Any idea what should I do?
what model device do you have and what exact ROM did you flash? and which ROM did you have before flashing.
If you say I dont know to any of these.....

My Device is GT-P6200 and I got the GT-P6200 JB ROM for it.
______________
I left my device to charge all night. When I woke up I tried to see if the 'flashing' of the screen still occurs, but it didn't happen. I think I can flash a ROM now
I tried to flash the ROM again and it worked, luckily it was not a hard brick. Problem solved. It is weird that the flashing didn't succeed the previous time. Maybe the battery level was low (about 20%) when I flashed the ROM the previous time, can this be the problem?
yes, also a faulty or non-OEM cable would be the culprit.

yess. flashing(blinking) screen is how download mode tells you that your battery is low. probably less than 10% since it even turned off by itself.
This Happend To me and I got it BACK
Hello... I totally understand your frustration... This exact same thing happened to me after my battery went dead just after I installed JB...
well here is the kick and it's kind of tricky...
If you want you can call me and I can tell you the instructions, it's complicated but if you follow the steps it will work...
I can also take the time to write it down, but i'm bad a typing.

[Q] Porblem with my phone.

I have a LG Optimus 3D, and recently upgraded it to JellyBam. It was going great, besides the fact my battery life would be gone within 4 hours of it being in sleep mode.
So I tried to flash it with Promethius V1.5 21E & Promethius Kernel V1.5 though I messed up on the way. I am not sure what this is called, as I thought bricking it was when it was stuck on a boot loop, but I'll try my best to describe it. When I turn my phone on it does a good job and the LG boot screen appears, then after few seconds of that it goes to a white screen with random pixels everywhere.
I can't get into recovery mode to reinstall JellyBam and try to install Promethius back after that... just goes straight to the white screen everytime.
Is there any software that can wipe it back to vanilla software from the phone just being on like this? I am not even sure if my computer is detecting it though. I fear for my device
Sorry if this question has been asked a billion times; I googled this and couldn't come back with a problem exactly the same as mine.

Good idea
Yeah, I can't get that to work. Somewhere between step 5 and 6 just didn't happen for me... in the cmd window that the fastboot application opened, all went well until I hit the parts where it says Please remove the USB cable, and wait until the LG Logo on then reconnect the USB again. Shortly after it prints that out it says ' fastboot deviced (y/N) ? and press <ENTER> ' I type y and enter, and it repeats the same question over and over again... so I left it blank and pushed enter and then it asked for ' Do you want to replace MLO(x-loader) (y/N) ? ' Same thing happens here, I have to just push enter. Next question was ' Do you want to replace u-boot (y/N) ' and once again, I had to push enter. Once that was done it printed out ' ls: cwm/p920-*.img: No such file or directory Press any key to continue . . . " I push any key and it stops the fast boot. Nothing happened, still launches to a white screen and not that picture I see in the tutorial.
I am sorry I didn't state this before, when it comes to phones I am mentally challenged. It's probably the reseason it got bricked in the first place, I am trying stuff I really shouldn't. I don't understand most terms, and because of that tutorials are hard for me to understand.Though I did get Step 2 done, which was pretty easy. Another thing I don't get is between step 2 and 4, when do I put the battery back in? It says in step 2 remove it, and in step 4 remove it aswell.. but no where in between does it say put it back in.
Try answering no to fastbooting (phone can't boot now apparently) and yes to u-boot and x-loader. You already have recovery so you don't need cwm, so no to that one.
You are replacing/reinstalling the bootloaders by doing this, since they are 'corrupted' by installing an incompatible kernel.

If you are using my tutorial. it would be much better to post your question on the thread's tutorial.
Can you describe in details what's happening with a photo attachment on my tutorial please.
Any support is welcome there
Ah. Sounds as though omap driver needs to be set up so pc can see the phone. It seems Karim has you covered. Good luck dude!
