Hellfire 1.5 - Message and Email notification, Bluetooth sounds. - T-Mobile LG G2x

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get the notification sound/ringtone to make a noise through a Bluetooth headset device.
I am always getting emails and messages that are important but when im at work i cant stare at my phone all the time.
Im running HellFire Sandwich 1.5 on the wind mobile p999.
Thanks for any help.

Hate to be just a +1er... but... +1.
I got a different phone, but same issue. My alerts aren't coming through the BT head set. I can't find out how to change it.

Calls switching from bluetooth HF to handset after notifications

Hi All,
Has anyone experienced this:
Talking on the phone using a bluetooth hands free (Moto H500) and any kind of notification comes in (new txt msg, new voicemail, low battery, etc) the call switches from the headset to the handset. I only had this happen in the WM6 ROMS, but it has been in all the ROMS i have tried. Maybe there's a fix i missed somewhere, maybe it only happens to me... Any thoughs or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Ya, I have the same issue with the WM6 ROMS.
I think I solved it though. You have to set Voice Command to only announce notifications though the device speaker. That seems to have solved the (annoying) issue for me.
Thanks for the info GadgetGuy, I'll give that a try... I just prefer that the people around me not know I just got a new message or my battery is low... If I find anymore on that I'll post again.

Using a phone through my pc

I didnt really know where to put this, but here goes anyway
I have a HTC S710 with a broken screen. Im currently using it through MyMobiler, but this is really slow and then theres a number of smaller problems with it too.
I was wondering if there was any program which means you can use the resources avaliable on my phone, sms, calls etc, through my pc. Maybe a faster program similar to mymobiler. I think it would be great if it showed a popup when there was a text or an incoming call?
I have searched and not come up with anything usefull.
also, another thing i want to know is if there is any way to make my phone turn on speakerphone automatically upon answering a call?
Thanks, Cris
There are a few diffrenet apps available, but MyMobiler is the best, especially since it's free. There is an app here as well for turning on the speaker during an incoming call as well.
Just a question though, why wouldn't get a replacement device. Seems odd to only control it through your PC.
well, i dont want to replace it simply because im a student, therefore i cant really afford it. Secondly i just like this phone, so it seems a waste to not use it at all any more when it still functions as a phone even if i cant see whos calling.

I dont suppose you have a link to this app do you?
SpeakerPhone v1.05 (cab attached) when an incoming call is received, the speakerphone of your device will automatically turn ON when you receive a call.
Here is the LINK for further info...
thanks
thank you reaper

Bluetooth A2DP now on Jawbone ICON earpieces

So sweet. Jawbone now has an update for the Jawbone ICON which allows it to pair as an A2DP device. This means I can route all sound to it: music, movies, navigation, FartDroid, Robo Defense, etc.
There has never hasn't been a fix for this since the 1.5 ROMs. I'm on Fresh 2.0d
This awesome earpiece can be had for around $75 if you look hard enough.
Happy he posted... I am very happy, since I already have an ICON but didn;t know this
maybe not a big issue with people on this forum but this was a huge android issue in general. pissed a lot of people off.

And, this was important enough to post a new thread about? Sorry, but it's cluttering up our tiny forum.

Holy ****. This just cluttered up this thread.
This was a huge deal with Android and Jawbone just solved it for me.
Good to know. Knew I got my Icon for something. Thanks for the info.

Can the ICON connect to the phone and allow voice dial ? Thats one feature I miss. All the crazy advances and this is one feature that hasnt been fixed. Oh well. By the way the Q1 does the ad2p thing and also allows 8 presets that allow the unit to at least connect and call out which is handy. It also allows you to connect hands free with just your voice. Not too big of a deal if your driving but if your a biker it's a pretty awesome feature ;-)
I wonder how hard would it be to program an app to wait for the button press on a headset and set it to use the voice recognition on the phone that is used by google search/nav etc...

Maybe it was a multi phone pairing issue, but I found that the Q1 didn't reconnect automatically if I walked away from the headset with the phone or vice versa. Also didn't like that the buttons were easy to press and hence a lot of pocket headset redials...
I am very stoked with the a2dp on the icon as that's the headset i had just before being convinced by someone else that the q1 was the way to go and since having gone back to the icon
Thanks for the info, I forget that the icon is updatable and haven't checked in a while...
r
seeing as this is a relatively active bluetooth-related thread, i was wondering if someone could answer a q for me.
im on fresh 2.0d and whenever I tried to play anything via A2DP in my car, the audio was sped up and always skipped about every second...has anyone else experienced this? if not, could you tell me which ROM you are using so I could give it a try?
appreciate any info anyone can offer...thanks

Here's a bit of info on the Jawbone ICON website: "To encourage Google to support voice dial via Bluetooth on the Android OS, vote at Google product ideas or post a reply on Motorola's DROID forum."
I have found that the Voice Search app works a little better than the Voice Dialer app on the Hero. I just place a shortcut on my home screen. If I open the app and say, "Call Dennis at Home," it will dial home right away. Not quite "hands free" dialing, but as close as I can get for now.

[Q] Setting custom tone for missed call on DZ Virtuous rom?

Hi, I'm wonder is if it is possible to set a custom tone for missed calls on froyo. I've recently switched over from winmo to android and I'm still trying to work out the kinks of what I am so used to.
I'm using the MGS sound byte from when snake gets caught for my missed call on my old phone, but I can't seem to find a setting for that on android (froyo) at all... do i need to install another app to make this work or am I just missing the settings somewhere.. I've been all over the Sound setting and couldn't find it.
I'm using Virtuous ROM v1.01
Does anyone here have any experience about this?
3 days later and still no reply?

[Q] Rogers ICS voice notification won't turn off

Hey all,
Since upgrading to ICS on my I727r, I keep getting voice notifies, for instance, if I get an email, it will say "ONE NEW EMAIL" or this morning my alarm went off and it said "FIVE-ZERO-ZERO A.M."
To me this sounds like an Accessibility option, but when I look in there, everything's turned off.
I thought it was an interesting feature at first, but it's starting to get annoying. Anyone have any idea what this is, or how to disable it?
Thanks in advance.
I've managed to find the solution, though I've been poking around on my phone for 2 days now.
I have Voice Talk installed, which I thought was a standalone app, but it turns out to be running in the background as a service.
It was set to Driving Mode, which it's been set to since I was using it on Gingerbread. However in Gingerbread it never did this.
Anyway, I disabled Driving Mode, and my phone is quiet now.
Also, I recommend everyone give Voice Talk from the Samsung Apps a try, if they haven't.
