Hi, I'm wonder is if it is possible to set a custom tone for missed calls on froyo. I've recently switched over from winmo to android and I'm still trying to work out the kinks of what I am so used to.
I'm using the MGS sound byte from when snake gets caught for my missed call on my old phone, but I can't seem to find a setting for that on android (froyo) at all... do i need to install another app to make this work or am I just missing the settings somewhere.. I've been all over the Sound setting and couldn't find it.
I'm using Virtuous ROM v1.01
Does anyone here have any experience about this?
3 days later and still no reply?

Hi,
I've read that some roms have a fix for the bug that calls from unknown callers. The silence (and it won't vibrate eighter) makes me miss calls, making my TP a bit off a problem using it as a phone
Since I don't wanna replace my ROM, anyone know a fix for it?
TIA, cheers,
Cactus
bump, i need a fix for this too :/
Start looking for the Advanced Configuration Tool version 3.2 by Schaps.
With that you can change the call ID match, for Dutch numbers set it to 9, then it should work
Hi,
Thanks, but it came a little late
I upgraded to a 20755 ROM since monx® (formerly known as hang.tuah, really confusing ) ensured me it was a build problem. Since the 20755 gave me other benefits I don't think I'll switch back to the older ROM. Thanks anyway, good find!
Cheers,
Cacti
Ok, I have searched and cannot find a resolution for this anywhere. When I switched from stock HTC Sense ROM on my HTC Inspire I lost my ability to talk to text. I have reflashed the ROM I am using, Cyanogen Mod 7 Stable, and that did not correct the issue. Is there some setting I have missed, or is it just something I lost the ability to do when I flashed to CM7 from Sense?
DId you dl the Voice Search app by google from market? If so, try it in a very quiet area. Mine will not work w/ a lot of background noise. It's a known issue that's being worked on.
Hi all.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but this thread is regarding bugs on custom ROMs, so here I am.
A while back I switched from CM7 to WajkIUI, and I really have enjoyed this ROM since trying it. Recently however, I've noticed a couple of issues regarding MIUI/WajkIUI and Tasker. I've mentioned my problems in the relevant ROM thread here, and also on MIUIandroid.com, but nobody seems able/willing to help.
I have profiles configured within Tasker that will switch my phone to mute (Silent Mode) when I'm at work (based on WIFI near attribute, which is working fine). WajkIUI ROMs subsequent to 1.9.2 are unable to switch this, or indeed make any changes to volume.
I also have a profile that will switch on Bluetooth when I get an incoming call (using the Incoming Call option in Tasker). I've no idea when this stopped working, I'm on 1.9.2 at the moment, and it doesn't work here. I've tested the profile activates, and it does - but it doesn't switch on Bluetooth.
Finally, my third bug relates to the above, but not Tasker. If I switch Bluetooth on manually and pair with my headset - I can't get my headset to answer the call or to ring the last number (two things it has always done before).
Is there ANYONE who can help fix these? Are these issues solely on MIUI based ROMs, or does CM7 also have this issue - as I'm seriously considering switching back.
Thanks.
250+ views and not one response? Boy do I feel lonely now.
So, seeing as how nobody can offer any help on my actual problems - can someone give me a clue to how I go about decompiling a ROM to check the code out myself please?

Try to update to 1.9.23
Will that work? I've tried all of them up to that, but every time had to downgrade due to the problems. I got fed up of installing a ROM only to have to uninstall it five minutes later.

I think it's a bug in MIUI itself. If you check the app on market, there's a lot on Market who says so.
that's what I thought - I've an ignored thread in the bug forum on miuiandroid, hence my last question about decompiling the ROM so I can investigate myself.
EDIT: Problem solved! New update was available, flashed it, everything working now!
Hi all,
I've Googled endlessly and haven't been able to find a solution to my problem. I've got a Rogers Infuse running CM7 from the dev thread. The issue is that I don't get any sound coming when I receive an SMS, or any other notification such as new e-mail on Gmail.
I do however have the ringtone working for the Phone and have the alarm working. The vibration for SMS also works.
What I'm wondering is how can I fix this so I can get the SMS notifications working?
I've tweaked with all settings, whether it's deleting all profiles, tweaking them, making sure night mode isn't on, going to the Cyanogenmod settings, etc. and none have helped.
If it was un official one, there was updated cm7 released with it fixed happened on my last cm7 before update.

The issue here is that I'm flashed on the 27 October ROM (my first CM7 ROM).
Should I just reflash the ROM?
I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get the notification sound/ringtone to make a noise through a Bluetooth headset device.
I am always getting emails and messages that are important but when im at work i cant stare at my phone all the time.
Im running HellFire Sandwich 1.5 on the wind mobile p999.
Thanks for any help.
Hate to be just a +1er... but... +1.
I got a different phone, but same issue. My alerts aren't coming through the BT head set. I can't find out how to change it.
