lol yeah I posted it here hoping some developers would get their hands on it and turn it into something that works, hopefully people are smart enough to read and know what they are doing before messing with it.
uploaded the stock hboot, in case someone needs it for comparison...
i can just confirm that the posted file actually is a hboot, as the hexdump shows some similarities... but thats where my binary hacking skills end

Do you have a t-mo US version phone or this is just a file ripped apart? I'm looking to figure out how to root the T-Mo US One S without bricking the thing.

T-mobile USA Rom include wifi calling?
Im Curious does the TMO US version of the One S have wifi calling?
I ask because I have the Sensation, running a ICS Rom and currently
the Wifi Calling app (From the Gingerbread ROMs) doesn't work, it needs
an updated app from T-Mob US that is compatible with ICS.
Thanks!

It should have Wifi Calling baked in. If it's compatible with older phones running ROMs, we'll have to see.
I just picked on up at Wal-Mart they are selling them now for 198.00 yes WiFi calling works great

On the Galaxy II on tmo the wifi calling is built in the rom and you have to have the sim card the supports the wifi calling but this is ICS and I could be mistaken .

Hmm interesting
Not even an .apk? like Kineto.apk
Does there appear to be a WiFi calling APk file in the system/ app folder? I'm not sure what it would be called, but you can probably ID it via the icons appearance. I know on the Sensation it was something like HTC-dsp-gb.apk.

It's most likely like the Amaze 4G. Built into the framework
Wifi calling is built into the Android 4.0 framework, so yeah, none of those apk's or .so's are present on the One S. It's all integrated...
Can you post the build.prop?

Hey all, New to this site as I am trying to learn how to get Androids from other companies working on cricket's network for my customers. (I work for a Cricket Premier dealer) Within a couple weeks cricket will be launching our first Android and I was wondering if any files etc.. from an actual Cricket Android device would be helpful to any of the developers here as I would be more then happy to post them if it would be helpful in getting full functionality out of flashed Androids.
Just let me know which files would be needed
how about the cricket apn from apn backup with of course username 0'[email protected] im using a touch pro with android but can not get wap/mms working.
does it have cricket clicks or whatever its called? (the app store i guess it is) post that. if it has it
yes...the whole rom in general would be great. but if not then cricket clicks, the APN, and the MMS.apk would be great.
Oh god, please don't let this be a troll!
Seconded on the ROM, APN and MMS.apk.
Also, any documentation would be helpful.
Post whatever you have and I'm sure someone will find it useful.
Thanks in advance (so long as you ain't trollin').

Typically any Official update will break #SU access and sometimes cause a serious headache in the process.
If you are rooted, do not apply the update. Just wait for a kitchen baked variant to be released.

The ones in the radio thread stickied in the development section are ok to flash. They are setup properly for root. Bluetooth definitely got some attention in this update. Much more stable connection than before, not perfect, but much better and livable.

maybe fixes visual voicemail bug?
For about 6 weeks I've been having issues with the stock visual voicemail app force-closing every time I tried to use it. I tried going into the app's settings area and clearing its data, then re-enabling it in the caller app, all to no avail.
I just installed this update and it looks like my VVM is working again, so I'm hoping this was indeed a known issue and was fixed.
(FTR, I'm not sure that a factory reset before the update wouldn't have fixed the problem, but I didn't feel like re-installing all my apps so I let it go and just used the old-school voicemail number for a while.)
Is there anyway possible for me to get the update because i had s-off and then i wanted to unroot but i used gfree so i had to use gfree and ran into a crap load of problems leaving me right now with s-off and no root permissions . i need to get a new mytouch because this one randomly restarts and i cant send in one with s-off... can anyone help me out?

Is there anything in this radio other than a new radio and new hboot?
I'm s-off via engineering bootloader, NOT gfree. Is it worth the trouble to use gfree so I can ruu and stay s-off, accept the update, then flash clockworkmod recovery via bootloader, then go back to cm7?
That's exactly what I did with the sensation.

1. You can use European versions they just don't come with WiFi calling which isn't an issue for you.
2. Give Trick Droid a try, It's stock with a lot of improvements and the mods are on a separate package if you want to add any.

Great! Thanks for the quick reply!!
TrickDroid is really nice, I've been using it for a week or so and I've had only minor problems.
Be sure to get the TMO version, as he has released both versions.
If your battery life turns into five hours with the screen off, disable wifi calling. There's an issue where IPService won't let the phone sleep. That's the apk that controls WiFi calling.
I'd love to nerd out if you have have more questions!

The Canadian SGH-i497 (ROM appears on sammobile but I cannot find reference to a Canadian Tab2) may support phone calls and sms messaging. I downloaded the Odin ROM from here:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=20711
And checked inside and it seems to have the proper files. Since the i497 has practically no support on XDA I have been reluctant to install it. But recently another member posted the ATT 4.1.2 so I was thinking of giving it a try in the near future.
Canadian version is listed on Samsung of Canada but that is about it. No info is given. Why would they release a ROM for a tablet that just doesn't seem to exist?

I have a I497 as well but it is for Digicel Jamaica, anyone knows if the AT&T or Canadian 4.1.2 Rom would work on it? I'm thinking they should all be compatible since they are all sgh-I497.
