just flashed the one without hero...everything seems well....pretty liable....does this supports Marcus apps2sd???

It should support Apps2sd ;-) But not the unionFS method.

Going to flash without hero theme now.

That does the trick

ION with Hero available NOW!

Free apps. I rebooted in recovery mode, went to console, did the chown system.system/data/app command, rebooted, and still the same thing. Will try ION with theme now.

In recovery you have to:
mount system
mount data
chown system.system /data/app
;-)

Also, you can't read any of the notifications in the notification bar, since the font is black :S

Anyone has problem with rotation not rotate? I had the rotation setting checked but it doesn't rotate

Have you been able to get it to work. I tried this morning with no success.

working perfectly for me. dont flash the zip. inside the zip, push HTC_IME.apk and Clicker.apk to /system/app/ and then place the ".htcime" file on the root of your sd. make sure to use the low res zip (the one I posted), not the hi res

correct. the hi res zip uses HUGE buttons and only half of the keyboard shows on the screen.

If you push them to system/app it overwites the old one. I also restarted my phone.vI could not get voice to work, but if you long press the microphone it takes you into settings.

Wow, this thing is hot! Also, it went completely under my radar. Thank you for this post, as I might have otherwise missed this for who knows how long.

Just checking, although it may be unrelated, but did you both put the .htcime file in the root of your SD?
It does need to be there.

That does nothing; I figured it out though, you'll need Android 1.6 or later for it to work.

Give it some time and maybe someone will do it for ya. I actually have the BUUF keys in my skin kitchen for HTC_IME mod. You could create a BUUF themed HTC_IME mod keyboard for any device if you want.

And cause I'm feeling nice, here is the Android keyboard from my nexus (cm 6/froyo) with the BUUF theme. (apk for adb pushing and zip file for flashing through recovery)
Use ADB to install it like so:
C:\Users\gIMpSTa\Desktop>adb remount
C:\Users\gIMpSTa\Desktop>adb push LatinIME.apk /system/app
Tested and working great here.

Haven't tested it but just edited my previous post (for sake of keeping them in same place) and attached a signed update.zip. Should work, just can't test it right this second.

Rosie.apk with 5x5 app drawer

I have been searching this forum for a stock unthemed Rosie.apk with 5x5 app drawer, but couldn´t find one. So I made one for myself, and wanted to share.
What I did: I took the Rosie from Coredroid and changed the themed PNGs to the stock ones.
So credits to Sergio76 and Coredroid team for this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195902
To install:
I always use Root Explorer to push to system/app, set permissions and reboot. Remember to make a copy of your original Rosie.apk
It is also a good idea to install another launcher from market, just in case something goes wrong. It would be hard to fix without a working launcher.
This is tested running ARHD, but it should work on every custom sense rom. But not stock odexed ROM.

Are you getting force close or what is happening? Working fine here.
Edit: it doensnt work if your on stock rom. This apk is optimized in a lot of ways. The org rosie apk is over 12 mb.

im running my scrubbed stock TMOUS rom, appears to not launch rosie and stays on the last frame of my bootanimation...screen powers on and off, soft keys light up...but refuses to proceede...
what are the permissions you set?
i did the usual:
User: R/W, not E
Group: R only
Others: R only
EDIT: haha im thinking the rom must be deodexed for this to work, hence the need for a custom rom :/ lemme kno the permissions, and ill check it out.
i have TONS of apps, and 5x5 would be pretty sweet

This would have been much more interesting to see.
I know, the other launchers have that option (4x5), but it would be nice to see it on Sense interface.

I'm not using es explorer, but you need to mount the system as r/w. Don't know if you can do that with es explorer. I always delete it, as I don't use it. But anyone not having root explorer should buy it. You will never regret. It's my favorite App of all. And permissions should be set as every other App. You could also set permission in cwm recovery under advanced.

I found the settings to enable root and mount on es explorer. And got it replaced! Thanks offenberg for the apk

Then you must have done something wrong. Mount system as r/w copy the rosie to system/app and set permissions like the other apk's in your system. Then reboot.

[Q] HTC IME from sense 4 on MIUI sense based

Hi,
I'm using the official MIUI v4 (from miuiandroid) and i want to ask if is possible to install the HTC Keyboard from sense 4.
I remember that the firsts realise for the HTC One S had this keyboard, so i think it will be easy..
I copied HTC_IME.apk , IMEXT9English.apk and IMEXT9Italian.apk (i am italian..) to System/app folder with -rw-r--r-- , Owner "0: root", Group "0: root"; but the keyboard is not showing in setting...
Can someone help me?
PS: just to be clear, i'm using MIUI v4 based on sense 4 with sense framework..

I had no problems, I just push HTC_IME.apk from TrickDroid to system/app. I downloaded my language (Norwegian) through the keyboard settings. I pushed the app trough ADB, no permissions set or anything

Are you on MIUI.us or miuiandroid.com port?
I am setting up adb, i will try with that...

Oh, yeah, right, I'm on the miui.us Sense based thingy in the dev section. Does the miuiandroid one have any advantages?

miuiandroid have the multilang pack..
I pushed HTC_IME and doesn't work..
