[APP MOD] Browser (Fullscreen, Hide Zoom Controls, User Agent) [100310]

Hi all,
This will probably work on CyanogenMod 5.04.1 ONLY, since the framework is from cyanogen's GitHub. Source is available though, please compile and use it for your own ROM if you're interested
Please download the following files and do as follows:
For Browser.apk:

Drawables are now cyanogenised (used mdpi previously, thanks eug89 for notifying me). Also added in the values for the brightness levels.

chronzz: Try rebooting after you push framework.jar and framework-res.apk. After reboot, push Browser.apk .
DocRambone: I'll let him know on Twitter or something and see if he can compile one. It's too tedious for me to compile a version for each ROM (that's partially why I put it on github, anyone can use it )

And for the drawables issue are you sure you used the right branch cause they seem the low-resolution one that are used for donut

For those of you that are having problems doing an PRL or PRI update download the attached OMADM.apk and push it to /system/app. Then reboot
For anyone who wants to learn something new, I used this Autodeodex script because I use windows. There are two options, one for a Sense Rom and one without. If you are going to deodex a sense Rom, you need to edit the script with the right BOOTCLASSPATH which is located in the boot.img. You may still need to manually deodex some of the files.

@tjohnsonjr, no worries, it was buried in the Fresh 2.1.1 thread, good work .
@Agimax, the /system/app & /system/framework files are identical between Fresh 2.1.1 and Fresh Toast 2.1. Where they diverge are in the kernel, configuration, etc.

Makes more sense to do it the other way around. Apply the /system/app & /system/framework to the custom kernel (FreshToast) ROM.

I am currently doing the deodexed with the #65 kernel. So it will be OC and no compcache. It runs nicely. Do you want one of the no sense also for this post ?

[ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] AKmod-v1 - my personal test rom

Hey guys, i cooked this rom for personal testing. It is based on a stock N1 rom and adamg's test rom #thanks adamg... here are some specs...
- based on the GRI40 (Android 2.3.3) system dump #thanks dsixda
- De-odexed
- Rooted with SU app #thanks chainsdd
- Busybox 1.18.3 #thanks stericson
- Market 2.3.3
- Cleaned up some stuff, you can get all of them in the market
- Email and Gmail inlcuded
- signed
I'm using custom MTD 90 MB system 50 MB cache and everything runs fine.
If someone can help me to redirect the market downloads to sdcard or /data we could use oxy hboot!
At the moment a hboot with bigger cache is recommeded, because downloads are going to the root of /cache
I think you can use Darktremor's Apps2SD Beta 4 Script, if you are running out of space...
I uploaded the rom to Multiupload, but will upload it tomorrow to a fast mirror.

I have installed ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST and have allready added gmail and email to it.
To make this a 'perfect' rom for myself i would like to also have the pulldown power notification bar which was included in most Oxygen 2.0 roms that i tried.
Does anybody know how i can add this to my device (flashable zip hopefully).
I have posted this question in the ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST forum and only got rather rude answers! and in the Oxygen thread were nobody could help.

You will need to add it to the framework of the ROM and recompile it which is not easy unless you're a developer. I would recommend using Widgetsoid from the Market . It does not have the notification power widget but it's highly customizable.

I'm far from a developer but would like to give it a stab. I have unzipped the oxygen rom and unzipped [ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST rom for comparison of system\framework and am now at a loss. Many of the files differ considerably. Perhaps i am out of my depth lol. What am i looking for?
Any advice?

Hi this is my mod for Sense 4 htc stock keyboard to remove the arrows, i have unfortunatley only achieved this on potrait mode only, but for qwerty, phone and compact layouts plus all languauges.

Worked flawlessly on IC RC7 rom. ES explorer copy and made sure permission are right, reboot and yes!

but you dont need to push through adb in ordroid 7.0.1, i installed like regular app if it doesnt pop up just change a little setting inkeyboard setting and then it pop out then disable again

I have no idea why the Xperia S Launcher doesn't work for you. I just downloaded the launcher again and it works fine for me.

Yea, I'm not sure what it could be. Went so far as to flash back to a clean stock install and it still doesn't work. Just my luck i guess

I downloaded the FWVGA one, and works flawlessly.

I prefer to stick with default programs, because you never know how other programs will interact with everybody's phone. It might work or it might not. You never know.

It's working for me in conjunction with the rest of your theme. The instructions in that thread work, just thought it could compliment your work
