Hey guys, i cooked this rom for personal testing. It is based on a stock N1 rom and adamg's test rom #thanks adamg... here are some specs...
- based on the GRI40 (Android 2.3.3) system dump #thanks dsixda
- De-odexed
- Rooted with SU app #thanks chainsdd
- Busybox 1.18.3 #thanks stericson
- Market 2.3.3
- Cleaned up some stuff, you can get all of them in the market
- Email and Gmail inlcuded
- signed
I'm using custom MTD 90 MB system 50 MB cache and everything runs fine.
If someone can help me to redirect the market downloads to sdcard or /data we could use oxy hboot!
At the moment a hboot with bigger cache is recommeded, because downloads are going to the root of /cache
I think you can use Darktremor's Apps2SD Beta 4 Script, if you are running out of space...
I uploaded the rom to Multiupload, but will upload it tomorrow to a fast mirror.

I have installed ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST and have allready added gmail and email to it.
To make this a 'perfect' rom for myself i would like to also have the pulldown power notification bar which was included in most Oxygen 2.0 roms that i tried.
Does anybody know how i can add this to my device (flashable zip hopefully).
I have posted this question in the ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST forum and only got rather rude answers! and in the Oxygen thread were nobody could help.

You will need to add it to the framework of the ROM and recompile it which is not easy unless you're a developer. I would recommend using Widgetsoid from the Market . It does not have the notification power widget but it's highly customizable.

I'm far from a developer but would like to give it a stab. I have unzipped the oxygen rom and unzipped [ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST rom for comparison of system\framework and am now at a loss. Many of the files differ considerably. Perhaps i am out of my depth lol. What am i looking for?
Any advice?

Yes this Rom has Sense. I left the most of the widgets in the ROM
does this have the ability to display 1x if in a 1xrtt area?

If you are using the final version of CM7 I don't think there should be a problem. I can't say what will happen if you use any other version.

I never made it to be something that it isn't and never claimed the honours of creating a new ROM. I like clean ROMs and I also like CM7. I cleaned it up for my own use. I also thought that somebody else might want to use it and that's the only reason I posted it. I don't want donations or expressions of adulation. However, if you want to offer me a job I sure would appreciate it!! (only joking)

It is installed in CWM, however you do not need to wipe anything. Also forgot to add in the op that it works on both ee4 debloated and gummycharged 1.75.

Keep up the great work. This theme is exactly what I was looking for. Im running it on ee4 debloated with pb&j kernel. The only issue so far is ongoing notification text is black when it should be white.

Thats the same thing I would like to know.
it looks good, seems like made a lot of tweak. Just like the previous said, the video were showing the review of go launcher ex instead of the importance (like the benchmark). quick response might due to the clean setup.

It's a full rom! The video shows the Launcher, but shows also the avaiable memory of the phone after the first boot!
It isn't on XDA developer because i need to reply to 10 post to be able to post on Development Section!
The rom is very stable, fast and smooth!

so far so great but there is one problem i found i use natwest app alot to check my balance on the go and this rom wont allow me to do so if i do it crashes before it shows your balance...

This font looks like Sony Sketch EF, it´s also my preferred Android font. Download the ROM and get the font in /system/fonts inside the ZIP. It´s easy to install, and there are lots of threads here and in other forums explaining how to replace Android fonts.
Basically, you need to have the device rooted, and remount /system as writable (adb remount should do it). Then replace DroidSans.ttf, DroidSans-Bold.ttf and DroidSansMono.ttf with the font of your choice in /system/fonts, and reboot. Replace also Clockopia.ttf to change lockscreen clock font.
To make things easier, download Font Changer at Market and follow the instructions.

superb app but manually replacing files is really bad idea. I think installing & removing themes with help of ur app will be a superb idea.

I can create backup and not replaced if found, but the sistem can't check if the files is original or not..

Hmmm, what about creating a folder /sdcard/external_sd/theme-installer/ORIGINAL_STOCK_<your-firmware>/ and placing all that system apks as well as the framework in there?

Universal Theme? How shall this work? Mod the apk's, etc. directly on the phone? Sounds like you want to achieve something as the theme changer on MIUI.

Need more test but overwrite some files example android.policy.jar and framework.jar if need.
Prepare a test package and release for testing.
No get feedback but I have choose the method, use universal theme for this app.
Froyo is finished now go to gingerbread..
For add new themes need more help from themers, I have selled my phone and now need more testers for my work..

Now I have upgraded my project to external themes.. the primary problem is archive size.. more themes, more size.. when update one theme need to reupload all my app.. it's no good choice
Now the app working with sdcard directory and you need to copy inside. When run my app read this directory and can add the themes inside into installer. It's simple for users but not simple for me XD

Now I have upgraded my project to external themes.. the primary problem is archive size.. more themes, more size.. when update one theme need to reupload all my app.. it's no good choice
