Anyone playing this now? I downloaded it as soon as it was released.
At first I was thinking, "Meh, Angry Birds is kind of overplayed now, but I'll get it anyways." But I was actually kind of pumped. It looked like the new features were actually pretty cool.
I like the whole gravity aspect. There's something satisfying about a bird orbiting a planet and speeding up before ramming into a pig.

How to disable ads in the Android notifications menu
How to disable ads in the Android notifications menu
A slowly growing number of Android app developers have chosen to adopt AirPush, an advertising system that places ads in the Android notification window. I won’t get into a long-winded argument about the pros-and-cons of doing this or how tough it is for developers to make money. The bottom line is that users don’t want it and they want a way to get rid of it.
Android users can get rid of AirPush notifications in a few ways. The most obvious is to remove the offending app, something that most people have done. If an app you like begins sending ads to your notification area, simply uninstall it and let the developer know. That’s the most effective way of getting the message across. However, this may present a problem if you install several apps and can’t figure out which is pushing the ads. AirPush Detector searches a device’s installed apps list and points out which apps have the advertising system built-in. From there, the user can easily tap to uninstall.
What about the middle ground? You may despise AirPush but want to continue using the apps that feature it. AirPush Permanent Opt-out is a simple app to place on the phone and not have to worry about further notification ads. The app installs on a device and then prevents any Airpush ad from loading. It’s as easy as those set it and forget it commercials.
Editor’s Note: I’d like to take the time to remind people that AirPush exists because it pays developers more for advertising than they earn from their in-app ads that pay far less and practically no one clicks on purpose. Don’t be afraid to reward developers who release quality apps by purchasing premium or donate versions of worthwhile apps.

Also, about adblock, I read about it not working for some people with ICS...

yes, that's true, just played it on my daughters ipod (the 99 cent one) and it is ad free
but i doubt there is any difference in that version and the "HD" version that amazon is charging 2.99 for. i have seen lots of reviews from kindle fire owners about other "HD" apps that amazon is charging more for because they say it is in "HD"
Its Amazing

You should be able to extract the rom with unrar either from the market on the evo or on your pc, I do this for psx games and works well on fpse. Would be the same for dreamcast games just got to extract the rom first.
I purchased the app and it FC's when I try to open a ROM or go into the Settings. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still doesn't work. I'm not going to request a refund because I have faith in it.

This thread makes me smile... and it makes me grateful for being intelligent.
*** I didn't bother to look at his other apps because I've never had to do that before. I will look into it now and if I find it is a scam I will contact Google to get my money back. I also will call my CC company to file a claim and investigate the fraud. ***
It's not that serious because it was only $8- $9 but it's the principle. I'll report back what I find. To the people reporting it was a scam you could have came in here earlier and posted that. ***
Ok so I looked at all his other apps and read the comments and he is a SCAMMER. All his apps are paid and I went through the comments and the apps all FC.
The actual developer for NullDCe is Drk||Raziel. I suggest you all flag his apps in the market. This makes me glad that I have an iPad because this sort of stuff never happens (thanks to app screening). I downloaded the app because I saw this thread and only saw one comment saying that it worked. I figured that there was only one comment since it was just released "today".
What irks me the most is that the bastard is probably giggling like a schoolgirl right now while watching his Paypal account increase. I'd hate to think that I'm helping fund someones college tuition cost or beer money.
By the way I'm willing to bet the OP is the developer or knows the developer and was using the warez as a cover for the fraud. The dude has a low post count and came in advertising the app. I'm going to flag this thread so the mods can determine when he created his account and BAN him.
Here's an example of the Android app return policy royally screwing over the consumer. I take full responsibility for getting scammed and if I could I would falcon punch the developer in the cranium.
@Shamoneymurda
Asking for warez is against forum rules. Also, you were asked to stop typing in caps. Please stop. I will not warn you again.
@all,
I am closing this thread because if gqsstatus is right, this will end up being more harmful than not.
I've downloaded the premium version of Angry Birds Space, before I saw the HD version of it. Now I'm wondering, is there any difference? I do not see where they could improve it, it runs just fine (not blurry at all) on my Transformer.
I'm curious about this myself. When the game first blew up on IOS, the HD version was for the iPad because the screen had considerably more resolution than the iPhone 3G. As far as what the HD version is for on Android (or even IOS for that matter, considering retina display) I would probably say it's a cash grab for suckers. I guess if you are really curious, you could buy it, check it out for a few minutes and uninstall it for a refund. If you decide to do that, let us know if there is anything significantly different about it.
Can't do that, don't have enough money left on the prepaid-card I used. Curious if someone with the HD version can perhaps compare it to the free one? If that's the same we know for sure Rovio is trying to screw us over here :/
The only HD version I've seen say Kindle Fire edition. Is there a generic HD version?

The game crashes on the 8th level of the first stage. Is anybody experiencing that? Transformer running stock ICS.
I've been having trouble with all the Angry Birds games since the ICS upgrade. Other games seem to work fine, but the Angry Birds games freeze sporadically. The actual tablet doesn't freeze because I can hit the home button and go back to the desktop. I'm guessing it could be an instability issue with the video driver for ICS maybe? Has anyone else noticed this happening?

Im with Nugzo on this one. What is the problem with having amazon app store installed? Its a great resource for nabbing some pretty nice free apps and doesn't really hog any resources.
I don't really use it :/ I mean, I've never really been bothered with checking out the app of the day or anything to that nature. But, its more of a curiosity/cleanup deal for me. Its not a necessity to remove it, but would be nice to know just in case I ever did want to.

If you're rooted you could always use titanium backup. Backup your app, remove Amazon app store, and then restore app. This will work but you won't get any app updates. The only reason I know this works is from restoring apps after a fresh rom install without using the app store. I see no reason to not have it on there.

this does NOT work on all apps from Amazon. some of mine tell me to install amazon before i can use them even when restored using TiB. Of course updates are needed too. I would rather just have Amazon installed. I guess I understand where you are coming from OP. Gotta manage our space with the HOX.Amazon Appstore App/Data 15.70MB. Of course you'd have to uninstall 70 apps of this size to free up a Gigabyte..

I would also like to know if anyone is working on this. I disagree with the users who say that the Amazon Appstore is not a resource hog.
I was getting horrible battery life on my Galaxy Nexus due to the Amazon Appstore. I finally broke down and just purchased all of my FAOTD apps that I actually used from the Play Store just so I could uninstall the Amazon Appstore. I've had much better battery life without the Appstore installed.
In response to the other post that you can simply backup and restore apps after uninstalling the Appstore, I've found that only about 10% of my Amazon Appstore apps will function without the Appstore being installed. So for most apps, you NEED to have the appstore installed for them to continue to function.
Edit: Add screen shot I took of Amazon Appstore taking up lots of battery:

If Amazon App Store is using that much battery I'd suggest uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling. I have it on my One X and it hasn't used a bit of battery in standby mode... Never has unless I'm actually using it. I did disable the in-app purchasing option, but doubt if that makes a deference.

I love Googles playful nature. And I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but here are some screen shots of the tabs menu in Chrome doing a little back flip quickly revealing the back side of the tab with the Chrome logo stamped in it. It was almost impossible getting the screen shots, because it doesn't do it every time, and when it does it's quick. I accidentally discovered it playing with the motion flick gesture that scrolls the tabs. I flung it forward pretty quick and saw it flip. But it also works by swiping with your finger.

I don't really see a difference... Isn't an Easter Egg something that has no purpose or function other than to be found by the user in an unconventional manner? Swiping up repeatedly at the end of your tab list is about as unconventional as taping the android version repeatedly. And all that happens is a quick, useless but fun animation showing off some branding. Sounds very similar to seeing a bunch of flying ICS droids or jelly beans. (I know you can play with the jelly beans, that's beside the point.)

Google makes Android. Google makes the full featured Internet browser called Browser. Google makes another full featured Internet browser called Chrome. Redundant. Don't get all technical with the exact details of the real definition of the word. I know Chrome integrates with all your devices and blah blah blah. It was just a joke.
Why does everyone always have to be RIGHT on these stupid forums? Xda is by far my favorite forum to use, but until Trolls and flamers are properly handled, they will forever piss me off.
Good day to you, you sad, arrogant bastard.

Someone seems offended. As you made a joke, so did I. No reason to get irritated and throw around hateful words.
EDIT: I apologize if I offended you

I apologize as well for using you as my scape goat.
I know making assumptions about someone's inflection through type (is the proper word 'type' phasing out already? Is it all 'text' now?) is about the dumbest thing you can do when trying to carry on a lighthearted conversation.
(the following rant is not directed toward you) I just feel like the internet is a place you have to viciously fight tooth and nail with snide remarks and a rock solid asshole know-it-all attitude to boot just to get one shred of respect. You got thanked for making a joke at my expense, where I have yet to be thanked for taking my time to share a little fun with everyone. If these forums were held in real life, the ridiculously rude comments that follow would stay inside that evil little part of our brain where they came from in the first place. Where they belong. Again, I'm just blowing off steam in general. I apologize, I mean you no disrespect.

In the desktop version, typing about:kill changes to Chrome://kill, and therefore kills the page/plugin etc.

As title states all three games have been updated either in the last 24 hours or about 5 days ago (EKO)
Just Letting everyone know.
EKO:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.winlight.eko_tw
Celec Arca:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asobimo.celes_alpha_en
IRUNA Online:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asobimo.iruna_alpha_en
AND...... yes I know that these games have been mentioned before I just didnt have time to locate the thread as I am at work, but wanted to let everyone know. (Looking at you TL... as I know you like Iruna & Celes Arca
All over 'em.
Celes Arca definitely was not the game I expected it to be, but now that I realized it's the online 3D Final Fantasy that should have been made ages ago, I spend more time on that than I ever did in IRUNA.
What I really want to see more than anything is Stellacept Online though. Have you seen how amazing that game looks?!
Good LORD...

I emailed the dev about Stellacept and was told it is being translated but no release date was available... perhaps I sdhould email them again as that was about 2 months ago.
Found this....... apparently StellaCept was pulled from google play.... dont know why.....
http://translate.google.com/transla...a=X&ei=b6gaUNPXLI2ujALy3IGADw&ved=0CHAQ7gEwBg
EDIT: StellaCept has gone offline as the Dev is reworking it for a MAJOR update.... will post when I find out more
Avabel Online..... may be coming to android... (THIS LOOKS AWESOME, TL....... your going explode)

Avabel is on Android
Just not in English :/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asobimo.avabel_gp&hl=en
Btw, do you guys think the Play is strong enough to run StellaCept? Currently Avabel has it listed as non-compatible and these games look pretty complex.
Edit: StellaCept is also listed as being incompatible with the Play. There is a review (albeit 3 stars and in Japanese) by someone using an S2 which isn't a huge amount stronger and another good review from someone using an Xperia Mini Pro which I believe only differs from our device by having more RAM.

I think they will run, they are probably set to non-compatible as they are not in english. there are many apps/games that just because the language listed is not native that country the Devs might restrict it, you can see it just not download it
I was able to play avabel on my play, no target lock, graphics damn good, but lags at times, since its not on english, i was unable to drop its graphics. Possibility that this is one good game for play.

I'm kind of worried about this company. They have so many great concepts but I don't think they could possible keep up on all of them. It would be really nice in my opinion if they would abandon all but one product and make it kick ass rather than set up the groundwork for ~10 games and slowly release meager updates.
lol It's probably not the only same guys in the company that have working in creating these games... it's more like little team where each member work great together and these team are releasing under this company name probably ^^
of course but imagine if the resources spent on that many games were pulled into one game? I've only played Iruna but it has a long way to go and will be horribly dated by the time they finish it up and from what I've heard the others will likely share the same fate.
Now celes arca control is not working for the new update i wonder what happend

Just an update for an update.
Iruna & Celes Arca had updates today
But xperia play control is not working for celes
Iruna still working fine

Are the others optimized?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
What do you mean by other if you mean iruna then yes it is better optimized
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
Just started playing iruna, it would be easier to play with optimized...but seems that it wouldn't work so.well due to needing to swipe to.access the extra shortcut keys....which, when I first started an hour ago just to test it out, thought the screen was cut off lol.
Only rhing I have against it is that my wifi keeps getting droppex only on this game...none of my other apps, onlive included, have this problem..so I.haven't even got out of the starting area yet.
Ill go try celes now.

I mean do the Xperia Play buttons work? As it doesn't seem like they do and this is the XP games & apps section - post touch screen stuff elsewhere :-\

It's weird, they used to... but as of this update, they don't. At any rate, I have a perfect GameKeyboard configuration that I'll be replacing my old one with that makes it work better than their Xperia Play support worked even when it did.
May even put together a video
