Celes Arca definitely was not the game I expected it to be, but now that I realized it's the online 3D Final Fantasy that should have been made ages ago, I spend more time on that than I ever did in IRUNA.

I emailed the dev about Stellacept and was told it is being translated but no release date was available... perhaps I sdhould email them again as that was about 2 months ago.

Btw, do you guys think the Play is strong enough to run StellaCept? Currently Avabel has it listed as non-compatible and these games look pretty complex.
Edit: StellaCept is also listed as being incompatible with the Play. There is a review (albeit 3 stars and in Japanese) by someone using an S2 which isn't a huge amount stronger and another good review from someone using an Xperia Mini Pro which I believe only differs from our device by having more RAM.

I think they will run, they are probably set to non-compatible as they are not in english. there are many apps/games that just because the language listed is not native that country the Devs might restrict it, you can see it just not download it
I was able to play avabel on my play, no target lock, graphics damn good, but lags at times, since its not on english, i was unable to drop its graphics. Possibility that this is one good game for play.

I'm kind of worried about this company. They have so many great concepts but I don't think they could possible keep up on all of them. It would be really nice in my opinion if they would abandon all but one product and make it kick ass rather than set up the groundwork for ~10 games and slowly release meager updates.
lol It's probably not the only same guys in the company that have working in creating these games... it's more like little team where each member work great together and these team are releasing under this company name probably ^^
of course but imagine if the resources spent on that many games were pulled into one game? I've only played Iruna but it has a long way to go and will be horribly dated by the time they finish it up and from what I've heard the others will likely share the same fate.

Just started playing iruna, it would be easier to play with optimized...but seems that it wouldn't work so.well due to needing to swipe to.access the extra shortcut keys....which, when I first started an hour ago just to test it out, thought the screen was cut off lol.
Only rhing I have against it is that my wifi keeps getting droppex only on this game...none of my other apps, onlive included, have this problem..so I.haven't even got out of the starting area yet.
Ill go try celes now.

It's weird, they used to... but as of this update, they don't. At any rate, I have a perfect GameKeyboard configuration that I'll be replacing my old one with that makes it work better than their Xperia Play support worked even when it did.

As the title states. 2 new GL games coming soon. I have inquired to GL is they will be Xperia PLAY optimized and of course been waiting a week for Nova 3 and 2 days for Asphalt 7 without a peep from GL.... no surprise their customer service skills blow.... still its 2 new GL games.... heres to them hopefully being Xplay optimized and to not sucking
I wouldn't doubt that they're Xperia Play Optimized. While the quality is iffy, they've at least been somewhat diligent about trying to support the Xperia Play. My only worry is this horrible habit Gameloft's recently gotten into where they suck 5-40MB off the phone storage as "data" so that we can't move to the SD card (at least, not without going through partitioning hell)... that's murderous for a phone like ours that has 400MB.
Personally, what I wanna see is Max Payne, Monster Shooter and Stellacept Online in my database
NOVA 3 is supposed to drop any day now. Since Asphalt 7 is a GS3 launch title, I am sure we will see that at the end of the month.
I wonder if Rockstar has just forgotten about us Android gamers.

well i love nova since its a neat ripoff halo for mobile -> seeing it turns to crysis is even greater, but...how big are the chances that this game is not going to lag on our devices. after gangstar 3 and earlier MC3 lag updatecircle on-off, i dont that it will bring me fun instead of frustration. face it, its now like on pc, where good programming means **** instead of proper power devices to handle laggy codes.
As for MC3 the initial release was smooth. It was until not too long ago it lagged and had terrible controls due to an update. Still running itial.release and it's great. Always decline the update

MC3 is unplayable for me, Controls suck and I went to touch controls. Don't play it much.
Burnout...sorry I mean 'Asphalt' is the only decent Gameloft game in my opinion. It's the only one I still play today.

Hmm, i´ve looked after the ios version and what kinda annoys me that this game isn´t available in the german App Store. Maybe this also accounts for german Android Users. That would be awful!!!GRRRRR!!!!!
Anyway, only way to get it for us german Gamers is through a) market enabler or b) getting illegal (no way!!! Don´t want to hurt devs unless it´s only way to get it)

It's already on I phone but this is the manual for the android version (dated 17th July 2012) I think the IOS was end of last year which also has an online manual (field manual) on another page in there forum (dated Dec 6th 2011)

Agreed. This may look like last year's quality games but it has a plot and a pedigree.
Don't get me wrong dead trigger is bad ass looking and I am playing loads on my tab S with PS3 pad. But got to level 16 and have the bren which is cool but it's boring with only 3 types of game modes on the same repeated maps (small sized at that).
This (cod) will be a great game for android and shows that other big named company's are seeing android as a worth while platform to release there games on.
And anyway these games are so cheap I will be buying both, 1 for gameplay and 1 to show off. Win win

Yea i agree. Maybe Activition is just testing the waters with this one and then the eye candy would come after. Non the less, there is nothing better than seeing a big brand gaming company join the android movement.

I really want to but it, that's the best RPG for cellphones i've ever played. But it's just too pricy for buying twice if it doesn't get gamepad optimised.

I brought it on my Xperia S nearly finished downloading and will transfer and test on an Xperia play when get home. Have seen some comments about it not working and crashing at boot but only Samsung users have commented so hope it's just an issue for them. Come on Sony let me play it fingers crossed.

You never know. Did you not have a thread in general saying that FF3 was going to support Ouya? If thats true they may have put some sort of hardware controls into this while coding for Android. But as you say none of Square Enix games are optimized except Lara Croft, But that was made for Xperia Play as they had a deal with Sony last year. Also seams like another department made that to the department that made the FF series and Crystal Defenders.

I had Chaos Rings on my iPod when it just came out, and I must say it's an awesome game, I finished it completely (with more than 100% ), having spent tons of hours to unlock every single thing.
I would strongly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it before, but the limited replay value and steep price don't make me recommend it to someone who has allready finished it before.

I would say the fact it lists the Japanese xperia play could be a good sign. SO-01D is the JPN version of the PLAY. Got me thinking and hoping. Crosses fingers

Well game is broke. Would crash on my Xperia S and Xperia Play straight after the title screen. Seams this happens to over half of all Android users that have downloaded it (check the comments on the Market). Hope for an update to fix soon and will update this thread to let people know whats what.
Trying now on my Sony Tablet to see if PS3 pad works at all, If does it could be good enough news as some hardware buttons may work on Play. But of course they would need to update the app so it actually works :crying: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
EDIT- Worked on my tablet. No hardware button support in anyway for PS3 pad so 99% sure no play controls what so ever

Guys, unfortunelly, it's not optimized, checked it myself. And about GameKeyboard - it's not possible. Controls are not point/tap to move, but slide on screen. So....That's a shame....

Yea, this is a VERY expensive game, shame that it wasn't optimized in the first place... If you figure out how to make it work with the controls using JoysticCenter, let us know! I *MIGHT* buy it.

Bad move Square Enix, veryvery bad.... Root doesn't equal piracy.
Theres an apk that works with root, but is warez. im going to switch to ics some time soon and ill try JoysticCenter.

And to make my answer clear - I didn't test it - don't want to spend my Internet limit to download 2.5GB for nothing. Hope somebody tell us what is that.

Yeah it seems like a scheme. It cost a pretty penny and one review says it presents a screen stating a large download is taking place to avoid getting a refund after a download that took longer than 30 minutes. Just gives emu's dev on play a bad name. If there was one out there worth the money, I believe that someone would have heard something about the project development. Not just BOOM!Working PS2 emu out of nowhere.

Hello everyone, after two days of purchase are finally able to download the 2.5GB famous, I set all the settings but I can not understand why some time when I play devil may cry there are frame drops, I tried to increase '3d accelerator but the battery will suffer a lot! How do I solve this problem?? please answer D;

No way ps2 would run on android yet. My PC has even issues emulating so how do you think it would run on a smartphone.

Sorry poo-tang butwhy do you think it isn't possible till now??? GTA 3 & GTA Vice city are running without a problem on our SEXPlay. ..,,
I can't remember... On which console were they use to play in the past?????

Those are ports, man. The game developers brought them out after making some changes so that they would be playable on Smartphones. Emulation is completely different.
PS2 Emulation might be possible. But not soon. There have been many threads about this before.

Gta's are PC ports not ports from PS2. The PS2 is extremely hard to emulate and needs alot of power. If my 2.6 ghz, G-force etc etc PC can only just run games (5fps approx) any mobile to date won't be able to. Have more chance running dolphin (Wii emulator which runs perfect on my PC). Could post all day about how it would not work but probably better to do your research on it to find out for yourself.

the biggest problem with the ps2 emulation is the complex/crazy hardware, look at pcsx2, the team has done a good work, but it isn't perfect even after years of test (yes, it is quite good for some games, but only on very powerful pc and at this point IMHO is better to use a true PS2); the Wii/Gamecube emulation is more possible,becuase the hardware is simpler (and it has a lot of development from the years of the Gamecube, the Wii in the end is a more powerful version of the Gamecube, so it was easier to develop an emulator).
If I seem to remember the PS2 had several different chips all doing something at the same time (not just limited to CPU,GPU, sound etc).
To emulate a PS2 you have to emulate every chip and gfet them running in unison which is no easy task. This is why in older PS3s they just stuck all the PS2 hardware in the PS3 so it was done via hardware and not software.
Its a bit under handed and dirty what this 'dev' is doing

Right now, only teaser of trailer (Jesus Christ!) but at least we know it's coming. No official info about Freemium or not (hopefully the second one) and Xperia Play support with our game-panel. Gameloft is very good company but with some known problems (relase dates, lack in support, bugs sometime, and freemium in most 2013 games), but I'm very positive about next Gangstar, hope they want make a fight with GTA on Android/iOS so they won't ruin game with some IAP. There you go some pictures leaked and one video. No exact relase date etc.so don't be too excited .
UPDATE:
Game is out now, and it's huge, there is a problem with Xperia Play compatibility via Google Play, but if you finally realized how to get game itself with apk and data obb, it is fully working on our device with our touchpanel + sticks . Yayy! Hopefully new GL games will have the same situation, cause I think for Gameloft is just few minutes to make it working on XP, just the most big problem is performance and graphics, but it can be handle if we have graphics options inside the game .

First Dev diary released and shows off some of the gameplay and also they tell us that they are using the same havok engine from MC4. Kinda hoping this will be optimized as would be one of the best sandbox games ever for Xperia Play .

Less offtop, it looks like we will get preety nice gameplay with lot of features (cards, fights, desert), hopefully, just last time (or no) - Gameloft please, optimize it for Play, and no lags at all (not on high for sure ).

Yes I hope it runs well on the play because that looks awesome and id much rather play it over gta vice city if its optimized. Was the other version gangsta Rio optimized?

Yes, fully optimized but has a few lag issues. As this is on a new engine we hope it will run alot better.
Gangstar Rio lagged? I never experienced that before, it was always smooth; stock ROM and stock kernel.
Anyway, very excited for this. I just hope since it'll be using Havok engine, it won't be carrying over the problem that MC4 has which is lagging with Wi-Fi off but smooth as butter with Wi-Fi on.
If they are running it off the Havok Engine then the Graphics should be Sweet! , But i hope Gangstar actually bother with more things like tilting on bikes for wheelies and i hope they make it XPO as well as making it SMOOTH!, Im sure they can... As some games like Dead Trigger or ShadowGun (Hint Hint) do GREAT in optimization for the Play,
We will have to push the Roms and Kernels to ULTIMATE performance if Gameloft Ends support,

It lists my PLAY as incompatible, which sucks, but the game itself is beautiful on my other devices. I'm not going to get anything done at work tonight for sure.
