i have tried windowbreak but after dialing ##634#
diagnosis ver. 1109
and after dialing *#9908#
it shows

Suwon3G Test Band
and i also tried chevronwp7 tool with installing certificate to my phone but it always shows
"Sorry I'm having trouble communication with the phone"
-Please Make sure its connected using USB
-Please Start Zune Application
but i always get this error
so will you help me to jailbreak my phone

ChevronWP7 Unlocker hasn't worked in nearly a year (since NoDo came out). If your OS version is 7389 or higher, you can't use it. This was pretty clearly documented, not just here on XDA-Devs but on a number of tech sites and phone hacking blogs and so forth.
I'll look into your Windowbreak problem. Typically, it means you have the KK2 or later firmware version from Samsung. Flashing an older version to the phone may let you use Windowbreak. Annoyingly, Samsung doesn't seem to use easily-distinguishable version numbers for their significant firmware updates, or at least not ones that I find easily memorable...

i have found a 7720 build samsung omnia w rom, but it is a plus poland brand rom.
So if i flash it to my omnia w, which is not a plus poland mobile, will it cause me problems. I just want to jailbreak my phone and i already have updated my phone to 8107

It will cause the problem. Windows phones are not just like others where flashing goes smooth.
Cross your fingers and wait for jailbreaks. We are all waiting from last 3 months

Hi folks, there are many threads about updating to Mango so I want a simple and clear post so everyone understands it.
7390 -> 7720 unconfirmed
7392 -> 7720 unconfirmed
7660 -> 7720 unconfirmed
7712 -> 7720 success on v1.3, chevron unlocked, samsung tools 0.7 work (preinstalled)
7720 RTM -> 7720 success on v1.3, chevron unlock preserved
I'm v1.3 on AT&T, had 7712 beta ISV and received 3 updates (7720, cleanup and Samsung update). Still unlocked via GPRS settings/unlock.xml (sms xap).
Whole process took about 90 mins.
I have now:
OS Version: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware revision: 2103.11.8.1
Hardware revision: 3.1.0.7
Radio software: 2103.11.8.1
Radio hardware: 0.0.0.3
Bootloader: 5.8.0.2
Chip SOC: 0.36.2.0
if you started from the versions above, please confirm success and unlock status. Also include any others versions I haven't, and I will update
Ideally: OS version (7xxx), success or not, hw version (1.3/1.4), matching or not final revision numbers (just list differences for firmware, radio software/hw etc)

If it's the Samsung Update, you will be unlocked afterwards.
Alternatively, you can install WP7 Root tools, it works in Mango.

Wp7 root tools alpha 0.5 just does not work for me ... and the thread says coming soon for Mango .. which version are you referring to ?
Is it advisable to first install Mango RTM to get the official release of Mango for Focus 1.4 ? Or will it be risky?

Both methods imply more or less the same thing, from a technical perspective.
I suggest you update normally, to avoid any possible mishaps as in the Walshed phones. So far, there is no indication that if you force the RTM will be issues afterwards, but I personally wouldn't risk it. The numbers are the same if you do and you will still get the 2 updates from Ms-cleanup/Samsung as posted across the forum. So, your choice.

Thanks, I already updated.
Internet Sharing is only for the newer handsets officially (Omnia and Focus are "old" 7.10). It's been hacked for Omnia 7 and Focus for those unlocked....
hi every one there... i have same problem, i don't have any memory card in it and the phone also don't have anything to back up and i did everything to make it work to update to mango.. but it seems like Zune found update for it but when ever i try to update it, it will restart it and then stuck at Samsung logo...!!??? i try almost everything, read almost all post for focus and try every single trick but it did not work out anything... after update found in Zune phone will restart at step 6 out of 9 step and then stuck at Samsung logo more then 3 hours and it will not start. i have to take out phone battery to restart it manually but it will not update to 7004....... any solution guys?
i have called Samsung for this 1st they told me it's Microsoft issue but then after little argue they said they will try to repair my phone.... but 1st they have to look for my phone warranty and told me give 48 hours to get IMEI from ATT...
i am still waiting for email... will update once get reply from Samsung...

i've got the samsung omnia w gti8350 and i installed the latest update including kk2, but now i havn't the phone either unlocked nor i have a backup.
i downloaded the full mango build 7720 rtm and the wp7 update cab sender. when i wanted to "update" actually downgrade, the anser was no cab was required. the phone doesn't let me downgrade to mango!
is there a possible answer how i can downgrade it or how i can uninstall kk2 without having a backup?

I'd ask what you did with your backup, but it's probably too late for that now.
You need a ROM flashing tool, not a CAB sender (which is used for updates, not full ROMs). I know that ROM flashing utilities exist for the first-gen Samsung phones, and would assume that either they can be used with second-gen or you can find one that works. The tool used for HTC (like I have) is called ROM Update Utility, commonly abbreviated RUU.
You may want to look in device-specific parts of the forum. Also, just for the record, do you mind posting your firmware version info (from Settings -> About -> More Info)? People are constantly asking how to check for the KK2 version, and it would be good to have a number I could point to and say "if it's at least this high, you need to downgrade."

I don't know; ROM flashing isn't my thing (I'm still on a stock ROM). I strongly suggest you go look at the Omnia [7] forum, if you can't find an Omnia W forum, and ask how to re-flash the ROM. Alternatively, you could try searching (using Google/Bing, since the forum's search tool is down). You could also look at the XDA-Devs wiki; a lot of this sort of info is stored there.

This ROM is from Poland, unfortunately it's the only ROM I could find for your phone. Anyway this shouldn't give you any kind of problem.
How to flash:
- Extract the archive
- Open the folder Downloader and run WP7_Downloader_Ver_3.8_for_Secure_and_SMD_change_Parttiton_and_Support_Retail_binary.exe as Administrator
- Click on PDA and choose PDA_I8350XXKK4_REV0.nb0
- Click on CSC and choose CSC_I8350PLSKK4.csc
- Click on Phone and choose PHONE_WEMBLEY_16002402_open_KK1_rev00_RC1.bin
- Click on Eboot and choose EBOOT_I8350XXKK4_REV0.eb0
- Put your phone in Download Mode (Turn it off and press Volume Up Key + Camera Key + Power).
- Plug in your phone, wait until the program finds the phone and then click Start
If the program doesn't find the Phone, then you need to install Samsung USB Drivers: Download HERE

2nd gen devices (like Omnia W) can't be downgraded to NoDo because they didn't even exist before Mango!
Anyway 7720 is the OS version, not the firmware.
You can always try the ROM that I posted above and see if you're able to apply WindowBreak on it

Well, my Samsung Omnia 7 also received KK2 update which blocked the possibility to use WindowBreak, but I was able to flash even a custom ROM, so I don't really think that the problem is realted to the firmware.
Are you sure that you're in bootloader mode?
You can also try the procedure on another computer, but I don't know what else I could suggest you, because I didn't have any problem on my Omnia 7!

Are the bootloader mode and the download mode the same? First you mentioned i've to go to the download mode (vol. up + cam. + power).
If that's true i am in the right mode.
I'm interested in downgrade my Omnia W too. I found this. I hope that it helps, but i think, that it's only for upgrade...

Since you'd need to unlock the bootloader before you could install it, a custom firmware for gen2 phones isn't yet a useful project...
So i tried it with later drivers and Poland Firmware and it seems that it doesn't works.. Still the same firmware.
@WooDoo.CZ: don't you forget to ckeck the checkboxes from PDA, Phone, Eboot & Phone Boot. Unless you check these, i think it won't send any files to your wp7 device...

i have an unlocked omnia W with the 7720 OS. I want to update to 7740 with Zune, but i get an 801812C1. I've readed something on the MS site, but it's for omnia 7. Could someone give me an hand?
All phones update in pretty much exactly the same way. Omnia 7 vs. Omnia W shouldn't matter at all for this.

Lots of people posting solutions.
I've readed many tutorials and none of them works. When i connect the phone in "download" mode i don't see any new device on my hardware configuration. When the phone is in standard mode it is recognized immediatly
EDIT: i've even used microsoft fix it and it didn't find the device.
EDIT2: i confirm is not detected by the OS in download mode
EDIT3: solved, it was necessary to reset the phone, update and then use windowbreak
guys on 29.3.2012 i found new software update for my omnia w in zune software. It takes minutes to install like it took before. But after updating there is no change is os version,firmware version etc. its like before only . what was that update for ??

I downloaded one of the KK4 ROM's and one of the KL5 ROM's. I don't have an Omnia W, so can't say for certain, but I dumped both ROM's and I can say with certainty close to 100% that OmniaW KK4 ROM can be Interop Unlocked and KL5 ROM's can't be Interop Unlocked.
There may have been some uncertainty about the lettercodes. Some people say that everything from KK2 and higher will not work. But they say that because of my warning in this thread. But I specifically stated that lettercodes for other devices (not Omnia7) could be different.

About the roms:
Samsung Letter codes
The PLS is a polish rom and the SER is a russian rom. You should verify that the languages that you want are present. Or else you could always add languages with cab update packs. Also the network-settings will not be a problem I think, because the network-settings-tool from Samsung can probably solve that.
BUT: FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Not kk2 actually that's for Omnia 7 for Omnia w as said earlier by heathclif in previous page kk4 is good to go you can get the rom from the link in 1st post but till now no way to flash

Dont you have the first backup that zune made when you were updating the phone for first time after buying.?
What was the previous version then? Did u try hacking that?
When did you buy your phone(month/year)?
If somebody uploads omnia w restore files(for kk4 which is windowbreakable)

Restore Points are encrypted with device-specific keys. You can't use them for any phone except the one they were made from.
The location where Zune creates them is "%localappdata*\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update\" and if you have Volume Shadow Copies enabled, you can check the "Previous Versions" feature to see if you might have an older one still lurking on your hard drive...

did you successfully updated it? Im having problem with my zune, coz it says, "cannot check updates at this time". they might be preparing an update. but... still not sure if i will still keep my phone. Maybe i will sell it later.
Use the cab sender method. It worked great for me.
So I used the disconnect internet trick and got Tango to install on my phone. Problem is, it stopped with the 3 updates and did not install (or find) the Samsung one that I know was supposed to be installed (for firmware), so my firmware is now 2103.11.10.1 instead of what it is supposed to be.
Does anyone know a way to force the OEM firmware to be sent to Zune. The internet disconnect trick isn't work now, so I'm stuck. Also, my backups aren't showing up, even though during the update process it said it was creating a backup (for all the OS updates it installed all the way up to 8773).
If there is no way to get the OEM firmware to be pushed, does anyone know how to get the Focus Flash to stock? I know I have a backup on my computer, but Zune isn't recognizing it (I had forced 8107 on my phone, and Zune made a backup of that ROM).

Hi,
Just reset your phone, format it and then go on with setting up your windows live id. Once fully synchronised, then switch over to zune and go to settings and press forget this phone, after which just connect your phone and you'll get all the updates steady!

Just Get the TANGO Update....... (Samsung omnia w{DEV UNLC})
There is no reason to update Omnia W, ver 8107 already have all the things, at least unbranded versions.
Next step for Omnia W is 7.8
