Hey guys so i was wondering liek a poll on which rom you guys think is the best on battery life
ive used all of them and im currently on revelation with the ics theme
another question i have is does the ics theme drain battery faster or is revelaion just bad at battery
thanks so please just post whatever rom you guys think is the best at battery life and how long you guys get out of it
Thanks
I'm currently running zeus 6 and i can't ask for more.
The battery life is not the same for everyone, it depends on how the sync you have, the widgets the screen brightness, signal strength and others.
My best advice is to do a backup for the system and try every rom.

Zeus 6 and R3V and AEON are the same for me.

For me, NumasX has the best battery life of all the roms I've tried. But none of them were horrible.

battery
Personally, I feel that Zeus, Revelation and Aeon are all he same because they are all from UCLB3 base. However, Zeus probably has the best battery. I use CM7 however.

When Android OS bug strikes it kills with no mercy
Since i got SGS2 i kept my Captivate as backup alarm for many cycles discharge in couple of weeks recharge ect. no problem ,no apps running in background , phone in plane mode with Cognition rom i get great standby time. Can hold out for weeks, but then, one night, out of the blue BAM Android OS kills it in two hours flat lol
Lesson: don't rely on your phone for mission critical stuff

Yes this is odd. Hope it gets figured out

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that most likely the battery is either getting weak or isn't calibrated correctly. And just whatever is using that last little bit of energy, which, in your case, will always be the android os, is going to show using the largest percent of the battery.

Dude, you're doing it wrong...

I'm running the new 4.04 with Matrix 15. It was great. I installed Juice defender last night and decided to give it a try. Seems a little laggy since I installed it. Do y'all think I should run JD or is it not necessary while running a custom kernel. Using lulzactive governor with default settings.

Heck yeah. I use it every time I flash. Im actually using vgomez 4.0.4 rom too with matrix 14.5 colors and I have juice defender ultimate. Works well. What really sold me on is the disable 3g with screen off. But yes I highly recommend. Between me and you juice defender ultimate is free if you know what I mean.
I charged a little bit but still good.

Does anyone is experimenting terrible battery life with cm10 or it's just me ?
anyone know how to fix this?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I had a horrible battery life for the first 2 days, talking dead battery in 6-7 hours with average use, couldn't really find a solid reason behind it.. so..
What ended up fixing it was a full wipe (system/cache/delvik) and reflashing CM10 again, after that I went back to what I call normal battery life - aka: charge the phone once a day over night and good for 12-14 hours.

CM10 gave me too many problems to keep it around.
The one I used to use is the one here:

I'm tired of random reboots on ics and other bugs that prevent me to use my phone for a whole day. I need it due to my schedule.
Which is your favorite GB rom?
Random reboots is not the rom. That is caused by a app that is poorly written and is conflicting with the rom.
As for favorite GB rom that would be stock with root.
Ultragen ICS, Poop Kernel, LB6 modem, powerskin case without a reboot or other "issues"

I recommend chaos kernel, comes with NXT app. You can downclock, undervolt, and change the governor. Very useful.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551441
But yes what the guys said above me, no best ROMs/ kernels thread. Reading and searching are your friends.
really, the best way to find your devices best kernel on battery is to try them out, decide on the one thats best for your device, and for your personal needs and usage. all our devices vary, so do our usages, and so do our needs. anyways..
battery life is determined by your personal usage, your person setup, your personal method of app management, and most importantly battery life is determined by the quality of your personal data/phone signal. everything else, including undervolting, only provides negligible results. thats why no matter what rom you are running, no matter what kernel you are running, no matter if you are using dalvik or ART, there are people that will say that it gives them great battery life while others say it doesnt give them great battery life.
