Hello everybody!
I hope that this question does not exist, yet. Your forum search engine is down?!
I have a LG P920 with V21e (german, unbranded) on it. I also have it rooted and using some root-apps. Modified some things for bluetooth-keyboard and vpn to fritz.box, too. So /system is not original V21e.
I want to reset the phone to factory settings and "factory" stock rom. (Delete all apps, data, ... - Flash stock V21e)
Can anyone say me: What is the SAFEST(!) way to do that (on Windows 7 x64)?
Thank you everybody!
Greetings
Skyscraper90
PS: Sorry for my bad english. I'm from germany.
Did you perform a backup in CWM before editing system files?

Reflash the V21E kdz. It'll put the system back to stock and remove root.
Afterwards, you do a factory reset in recovery.

Next time. Always do a backup if something goes wrong or you want to restore easily

Ok I will post next time in Q & A thread.
Device is rooted and I am on ardatdat's 4.1 stable rom.
When this error happened I was using 3G connection.
Actually when I started downloading due to some error net switched off.
I also wiped cache, dalvic cache and again installed rom but still problem not solved.
Now I'll try to reset factory data.
Let's hope for the best.

Instead of wiping data, just wipe data of gmail app only. Then reinstall it.

gapps doesnt install on my phone...in cmw it just says installation aborted...tried to flash 4.2 JB Apps
Just a quick question but an important one. Is it safe and that easy to update my CM10 just through:
Options -> About Phone -> CyanogenMod updates?
Do I need to know something else?
Thank you for reading in advance!

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S i9000, Android 4.1.2, CyanogenMod 10.
There is a new Nightly version of it.

Ah ok... So there should be no problem updating from one nightly to another.
But to be safe make a nandroid backup before updating. Personally I never used the updater. Just downlod the nightly the usual way (or use the updater to download the rom) and flash it in recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik prior to that.
MrBerni
I do not need to factory reset, right?
And I need to do is install the zip from sd card and that's all? No gapps installing?

No need for factory reset as long as there are no problems afterwards. So make a nandroid to be on the safe side.
GApps will be backuped and restored during the update process so no need to reflash them. Again: As long as there are no problems with it afterwards.
So just downlod the rom, boot to recovery, make nandroid backup, wipe cache and dalvik cache and then flash rom.
MrBerni
Thank you for info

The zip you flashed caused the problem. Did you make a nandroid before flashing it? You should have
your mod that you flashed is what caused the graphic bug.
you need to fastboot flash the system.img alone from the stock images. that should solve your problem
( you would need to reflash supersu however )
No-.- i try to unroot my phone and totally take it back to stock and root again, i know i'll lose all my data but that doesnt matters thank you for your quick answer too!
