[Q] Safe Factory Reset - LG Optimus 3D

Hello everybody!
I hope that this question does not exist, yet. Your forum search engine is down?!
I have a LG P920 with V21e (german, unbranded) on it. I also have it rooted and using some root-apps. Modified some things for bluetooth-keyboard and vpn to fritz.box, too. So /system is not original V21e.
I want to reset the phone to factory settings and "factory" stock rom. (Delete all apps, data, ... - Flash stock V21e)
Can anyone say me: What is the SAFEST(!) way to do that (on Windows 7 x64)?
Thank you everybody!
Greetings
Skyscraper90
PS: Sorry for my bad english. I'm from germany.

Did you perform a backup in CWM before editing system files?

Reflash the V21E kdz. It'll put the system back to stock and remove root.
Afterwards, you do a factory reset in recovery.

I am sending out my phone and I need to get it back to original state so if they check it and see it's rooted they don't void the warranty,

There is a fully stocked unrooted nandroid backup in the development section that you can restore. Then use the one-click nvflash tool to reflash stock recovery and you're good to go.

If you use tga gunmanns nvflash program, one of the options is to flash stock recovery back to the phone. His program gives you 3 options of which recovery to flash, and one of them is stock recovery. You just go through the same process with his program as if you were flashing cwm, only you select stock recovery instead of cwm.

Yep just like it came from factory. Just make sure you restore the stock unrooted nandroid before you flash stock recovery back to the phone.

[Q] Need help reverting back to cleanrom 2.1 from 4.5

I did a titanium backup before flashing Cleanrom 4.5 to include rpm and radio. I was very happy with cleanrom 2.1 and need to revert back due to poor battery life, very poor. Can someone help with the steps to revert including tibu help? I tried a search, but the search function is temporarily unavailable. I only see restore apps and data in tibu and not sure if that will revert me completely. I also think I need to flash the old rpm and radio, but am not sure. I waited 2 days for the system to stabilize, but no love. I also loaded crap mods and acidmusic mods, but don't think that is the battery drain problem. I am on vacation and need to fix this as I need my phone battery to last. Any help would be appreciated.

Ah ok... So there should be no problem updating from one nightly to another.
But to be safe make a nandroid backup before updating. Personally I never used the updater. Just downlod the nightly the usual way (or use the updater to download the rom) and flash it in recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik prior to that.
MrBerni
I do not need to factory reset, right?
And I need to do is install the zip from sd card and that's all? No gapps installing?

No need for factory reset as long as there are no problems afterwards. So make a nandroid to be on the safe side.
GApps will be backuped and restored during the update process so no need to reflash them. Again: As long as there are no problems with it afterwards.
So just downlod the rom, boot to recovery, make nandroid backup, wipe cache and dalvik cache and then flash rom.
MrBerni

[Q] 2 Important questions before flashing

Before I start I would like to thank you in advance for dedicating your time to help me here (assuming that you did).I couldn't find the answers on the forums even though I searched.
1. Is there any way to backup my 2.2.1 froyo rom along with the kernel and baseband and EVERYTHING to make sure that if I take it back for repairs they can't accuse me of anything?
2. I have P500H and not the normal P500 mentioned in these forums, is there any risk of brick by flashing another rom designed for P500? And if it does work, will all of my cellular connectivity (RIL, calls, sms, 3G) keep working?

1. yes with LGMDP or KDZ, but you need the stock rom that can be found in general LG P500 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1824618
2 read here, it was discussed before http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1830232
the answers are all in this forum, just try to search, read all sticky and FAQ threads and you should find all answers, but if you want to someone confirm you this, you can make a new thread like this just to be sure, cheers
This is all alittle bit complicated coming from the world of Samsung, is it possible to create a nandroid backup of froyo? is KDZ the equivilant of Odin?

Don't use ROM manager on LGp500

I don't like *any* of the Jenkins builds as they are pathetically slow for me even on fresh installations
According to me you should either try Oxygen ICS or Rashed97's CM10
