DDKP3, Idle Condition - Max. RAM Occupied - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Sorry Guys for starting this new thread, But for last few days i am facing problem with My new ROM DDKP3. After I had flashed DDKP3 my Max. Ram stays occupied in idle condition i.e without opening any apps. Moreover I hadn't used many Widgets as well. In addition to it when I checked about running services it only comprises 160 to 210 Mb of Ram space while my 340 to 360 MB of RAM stays occupied in idle condition. Please help me out.

DDKP3
CF Root + Deodex
Camera Hack + ICS Theme + Nexus Boot Animation

I am on miui_v10 , my ram condition is , occupied about 340 mb and 160-170mb free with only any.do widget on screen. I am also using LagfreeV2 script. So your condition seems fine for me.

[Q] xt720 best flash file ???

hey
how should i know the best version of sbf file is ?
my current flash file is
STR_U2_03.20.1_SIGNED_UCASHLSTABB1B4DEMA039.0R_USASHLSTBRTRU_P012_A013_HWp3_1FF.sbf
but i got little noise on my pictures that i got in the dark place , and my xt720 running little slow , plus discharging fast .
i dont know exactly my cpu clock speed is. bytheway my phone is root and i got many apps on it but when i load some games on it, after close the game it takes few sec to show icones on home page , at first i thought that came from my speed clock and i installed the cpu over clock program on my phone and make that up to 800 and 1000 mhz , but that problem still exist . i wonder how can i fix these problems .
For speed bump install JIT and overclock to 900-1000Mhz. Also you can install Launcher Pro it is way faster then stock Launcher.
thanks , i didnt find jit to over clock , i installed setcpu but i cant over clock more than 720 could u drag me a link for jit ?
Look for "Milestone Overcloack" at the Android Market.
for JIT, you have to modify your XT720. just search with google.
i find jitter.apk from droid forum and i guess it belongs to droid phones could i load that jitter on my xt720 ?
Mine is
STR_U2_01.18.2_UCASHLSTABB1B4DEMA033.0R_USASHLSTBSTARSG_P016_A013_HWp3_1FF
For those who do not recognized, it's original StarHub ROM with 550 MHz clockspeed.
I flashed my phone back to SG StarHub ROM last week. After that, I run the update to download and install the 17.9 Mb update. it's bundled with 720MHz module, new QuickOffice app, DLNA, Voice Dialer and new Weather Widget.
after update. it's as same as the latest ROMs available. plus that I enjoy no unwanted keyboards, (and original StarHub logo on 1st Boot )

xt720 & RAM

Hi,
is there any way to free up more RAM on the xt720? I only got about 40-50MB left (from the 256) after a factory reset... After loading some apps onto the phone, the working speed is just terrible, lags and waiting for widgets to appear included...
Ram drops to about 30MB, ATK is running wild... not realy satisfying...

[Q] RAM size on Desire S (HTC Saga) ???

Hi everybody,
the new phone is great so far...
When go to Menu-Settings-Applications and click on Running on the bottom I see RAM stats. The readings are : 173 MB used and 383MB free. Adding them together getting 556MB. Isn't Desire S quoted to have 768MB of RAM???
heh ... mine currently adds up to 542.
cache and system reserved memory are not visualized
well... is there any app where you can check RAM ??? The ROM is 1.1Gb which is OK (main reason getting rid of Desire std) but really need to know if there's any "restriction" regarding RAM.
@heavyhms: I don't think cache and system reserved memory could eat up 200MB+ of RAM...
Taskpanel reports it as 611MB for me. But yeah, even the DHD only has 623MB of usable RAM.

Thanx for the enlighting ...
So if D HD and D S having 600+MB of RAM (from quoted 768) then poor SEX10... quoted RAM is 384MB...
But SE X10 does not have sense ...
Also my DS RAM adds up to 559MB, so I'm guessing the rest must me cache and SR...
Most i have is almost 600MB.
System Panel reports:
/system 549.2MB
/data 1156.5MB
/cache 295.3MB
/mnt/sdcard 7572MB
So cache should be in /cache right? So what's actually using the "lost" RAM? Is it Internal System Processes? But it doesn't really add up to the total RAM.
Also, every time i open System Panel, there's always around 100MB of RAM available. I believe if there's a shortage of memory, it just puts some unused apps in the /cache.
Do correct me if i'm wrong.
+! always noticed that in android.. extra ram is cached for faster performance...?
Ion my sgs 2, i have 1Gb RAM, but only 800mb + altogether in system settings!
So the cache & SRM along with Sense UI. That makes me think how to get rid of Sense UI...
However,phone is smooth and fast...

Indeed it is. And I have not been using a task manager either, the OS is doing a very good job handling stagnant applications while maintaining a buffer of unused memory I use Tasker to automate several tasks, and Minimalistic Text for custom widgets (some invoking Tasker tasks), and even with all that in the background I have not yet had a slow down.

n these all are similar to mmlabs.launcher in cosuming rams some low some high.
BUT now i am goin to tell a laauncher which consumes no ram,
even it dosent show that it is running in background or not, less memory, light,
lovable, efficient launcher.
i founded it on xda developers.

Performance and Battery tips

Guys i am going to give you all my little knowing tips for performance which will help you to use your phone like you want.
we know in the phone there is two apps running system one is single tasking and another is multi tasking
Single tasking:- where you can use one app in one time but in android can be use 2apps also in single tasking, i have only 289mb Ram but i.love single tasking cause its so smooth no laggy so i changed my dalvik.vm.heapsize=64mb to 128mb its so smooth no laggy you can use high RAM using apps no force close... for example i have sgy s5360 i want to play 8pool game but new updated 8pool game force close after 8pool logo but i changed my dalvik.vm.heapsize=128mb its working like butter
multi tasking:- where you can use more apps in one time if you love multitasking then you can manage your RAM how much mb you want to devide per apps i mean if you have total 289mb RAM then minimum 32mb is good for multi tasking make your dalvik.vm.heapsize=32mb its good for multitasking you can use your more apps in one time but sometimes its laggy and can't use high RAM using apps..too much force close
procedure: your phone should be rooted, use any root explorer, mount rw and edit build.prop you can find it in system folder now find code (dalvik.vm.heapsize=64mb) and change it which you want only change 64 to any size comparing your RAM size and save it,reboot yoyr phone done
battery tricks :- use cpu manager and change governer...my best cpu setting is (max. freq. =max available min. freq=312 onedemand+noop)
note: do a cwm backup 1st i am not responsible for any softbrick, bootloop but i am sure it will work try it once
