Carrier IQ Detected on SGII Skyrocket

This morning I ran the Carrier IQ Detection program that just landed in the market and it detected the presence of this rootkit in the Skyrocket. What is AT&T's position on this?
Yes there are several threads about this check the development section
guys, please take a look at the thread I just made in the General section. I hope to go after AT&T as well.

X bricked his phone again and gave up

Looks like we can stop checking 2 forums for progress on ICS. X is giving up on the Skyrocket after he bricked his phone a second time and Samsung won't fix it for him. Hopefully another seasoned developer will assist jomeister15 in his efforts to get us ICS before AT&T's expected release this fall.

Why do you guys keeping making all kinds of threads and posts about him? They are just gonna be closed like all the rest. Who cares about him?
I didn't post an opinion, just news.
He can always PAY this guy to fix it.

Not sure if I understand your post, but ya I really hope that people don't start dumping on him!! He tried, and that's much more than almost all of the rest of us.... Hell, we wouldn't even know where to start!!

Unless you want this thread to get locked, do not mention or talk about he who shall not be named.
Worth mentioning is that ____ said on his site that the rom is open for kanging. We need some devs to pick that up!!!
(but be careful, apparently it bricks phones right now...)

What, are people five years old? Or do they think that this is hogwarts??? Xboarder56 did a lot of work! So it didn't work out... This time. But his efforts should still be appreciated!

His efforts are appreciated. You may not have noticed but every thread that has come up with his name in it in the past couple of weeks has gotten locked and/or deleted. And Jay specifically said in no uncertain terms in the last one NOT to start any more threads on X.
I'm just saying that the more important news for us right now is that X said the rom is open for kanging...

Who the hell is hating?! Jay (one of the most prominent mods of this forum), said NO MORE THREADS ON X-BOARDER. And he didn't say it in a nice way. I can't even link to it because the thread is deleted. And it's likely this one will be too.
I'm thankful for the work X did and I hope someone can make something great out of Evervolv.
Pretending something, or someone doesn't exist is not far removed from burning all the books. As far as I recall, the rules of the forum include things like ; don't make personal attacks, don't make racist, bigoted, hateful comments, don't do/say things that are moraly & legally questionable etc. We're not talking about praising some genocidal maniac here! It would be a damning indictment for this forum, should it be decided to obliterate an individual's time & efforts.... Because why, he ticked some people off?
This would fly in the very face of the whole concept of 'open source " spirit of cooperation, and I have every faith in the good judgment of this forum's moderators to not let petty differences stifle creativity & free thought and speech.

I agree 100%. Only posted my comments in the hopes of keeping this thread alive and not deleted like all the rest.
I regret opening this thread. It was in hopes of continuing the effort, not about the individual.
Mod, feel free to delete!

It's not about an individual, it's about a philosophy.

wow how did this all get so messed up(of course I know how) but I hope something decent can come from this mess, at the very least we don't allow a situation to evolve this way again. I have faith in a better resolution in future misunderstandings.

Shouldn't be a new rule. You only have 6 posts. 10 posts are required in order to post in development threads.

Shouldnt say new I guess. I havent messed on here much since i installed jellybelly on my phone so id say it was prob a little over a year ago. Remembering joining than though just to ask something having to do with the whole unlocking, etc of the gnex. (Didnt know much of anything about android at that point as far as customizing)
Im not sure this is a good way to seperate the bs from beneficial interjection. I found issues with my rom and a revision is coming out very shortly. I havent been able to up channel my concerns because I'm forced to comment on nonsense in order to earn the right to contribute.

[Completed] A quick greeting and on to my question...

Ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to say hello first.... although I have lurked a few times, I am completely incompetent when it comes to the modifying of devices. So be patient.
My question,
I am a little confused regarding the different options regarding the rooting methods of my device, and the concerns surrounding knox. (1) Am I correct that most of the work being done on different methods is based on knox and due to not wanting to void the warranty? (2) And if a person was not concerned with the warranty what would be the most straight forward method for a root? (3) I also see a lot of effort being put into the tethering and wifi calling options, I have free tethering and wfc with my data plan....and would assume others do as well with tmo..... so am I correct in assuming that rooting somehow affects this feature?
Thank you in advance

Hi,
It would be best to ask the experts who own your device about this. Here is where to ask,
> T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II > T-Mobile Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Use a more to the point thread title for better attention. ?
Good luck!
