[Q] CM7 Infuse wakes and sleeps itself - Samsung Infuse 4G

I have recently noticed that my battery is inexplicably draining faster than normal.
It turns out after having the phone by my side that after locking my phone for about 15 min the phone screen turns itself on and off constantly.
I am currently running the latest release of CM7.
If anybody has a solution for this help would greatly be appreciated.
Thank You.

I have the same problem
My Motorola Triumph does the same thing. It's running cm7.2. My battery drain is pretty substantial too.
UPDATE(8-13) - My problem was the push application gps fix which im assuming you may have. If not try to download some sort of log app and study what is running while screen off(till) screen on.

problem with keyboard light

I noticed my battery was going empty very quick (after 1 day in standby) when I noticed that even when my keyboard is in that the light keeps burning. I can see it between the display and the keyboard.
What happened: the other day I flashed the ROM with the ROMeOS v1.40.1. All was ok, then my battery was empty and suddenly out of the blue my phone crashed. It would not even hard reset. Total dark screen. I charged it for the whole night but it was dead. Then, hours later, just as sudden as it crashed it started again. I quickly charged the bat and then I noticed the light of the keyboard stays on. Now I am not saying that flashing the rom caused this since I don't know if this problem was already there before the crash. But I do believe that the bat is drained quicker as the light does not shut off.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to turn the light off? i already did another hard reset and flashed the rom again.
Phone: htc touch pro
OS: ROMeOS 1.40.1
p.s. also would love to know which radio is the best at the moment for the TP
I had the same issue with the stock ROM and had it happen with RRE and ROMeOS, thus I believe it is NOT ROM related. I tried to figure out the pattern and it may be related to quickly sliding it out and back in without any further action. Will keep an eye on it.
thanks! Hope to hear of a solution soon. Will notify you if I should come across a solution too.
Anyone else has this problem? The light not going off drains the bat within a couple of hours! Fully charged the bat overnight and the phone was dead at 1400 hours that afternoon!
Not sure if anyone is still reading this thread, but I experienced this as well and documented it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=461538
BTW, do you use PocketController or similar software?

[Q] Overheating problems

Well i'm currently running CM7 RC2 with the Netarchy 1.3.0.0 kernel. I'm constantly having my phone overheat and reboot on me in the middle of the night. Overheating typically only happens while charging, but when it does i have seen my phone get up to 102 to 107 F. I had my alarm set for this morning, when i woke up my phone had a completely black screen with the buttons lit up, and the phone was very hot. So i had to do a battery pull, after i pull the battery it boots up normally and starts to cool down. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks in advance. Plus i have found that my phone still reboots, sometimes it will randomly reboot when i'm not doing anything and it will show my boot animation but it's not full color, and slightly dimmed. And the only way to boot normally is to do a battery pull. This same problem has happened on my wife's Nexus S. I have her set up with the same kernel and rom i'm running.
Just a question. Do you have the main settings set on boot?
I had exactly the same happen last night with CM7 RC2 and Netarchy 1.3.0.1. The phone was really hot and I was worried it had been damaged being stuck like that for so long. It seems fine now though.
What do you mean? im not using setcpu, and my phone is not OC'd. @phillevy mine has been doing this everyday it seems like, when it gets that hot it really worries me too.
Are you using the phone to tether?
Nope i don't use tethering at all, i'm constantly connected to wifi at home.
This is the first time I've had this happen where the phone as overheated like this, although I've had a few reboots to the dimmed cyanogen bootscreen. I'm using setcpu and have a screen off profile of 100-800mhz.
Looks like I am going to try rc3 and see if these issues still persist.

[Q] ZTE Grand X V970 (Tegra) Power Issue

Hi, Just got my hands on a ZTE V970 and experiencing some odd issues. The phone seems to randomly drop into an unresponsive state, one where the phone is still powered (confirmed via the notification light) but will not respond to any interaction. A battery pull seems to be the only way to reset the device.
The odd thing is that this only seems to happen on battery power, and from what I can tell only when the battery is below 85%, give or take. I've tested the device for one night and a day connected to a power supply with absolutely no problems at all. But when disconnected within an hour it will begin to randomly die.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? Possibly simply a bad battery?
Thanks in advance
Its the UK Nvidia Tegra 2 version on ICS.
?
I guess I was just wondering if anyone whould know if this is a physical problem with the phone itself, or a firmware issue? I've been searching but haven't come up with much at all.
Music?
OK! So, I've been playing around a little more, and so far it seems if the phone is runnning on battery and I sleep the phone while playing music, it wont die...! So, any ideas whether this would be a firmware or hardware issue?
Swap!
Hey! Just to follow up, I returned the phone for another handset. Been using this new one for a week now and I've had no problems at all

[Q] Please help me with these issues

Good day friends,
Thanks for such a great forum. I bought a second hand LG G2X. It was rooted but still running stock Gingerbread 2.3.3. The phone runs very well except for two defects.
1. GPS turns on but does not find my location at all.
2. The battery charges to 100% and when it gets to 75% it reports low battery and turns off.
I have no idea why the GPS is not working. I assumed the battery was bad and bought a new one. However the fault persisted. The curious part is that even when the phone reports low battery and turns off, the battery is not actually empty at all !! I download an app called "My battery info and drain". I waited until the battery reached 75% or so and got the 'Low Bat' message. I restarted and immediately was told 'Low Bat'. But this time I immediately turned on the 'Battery Drain' app and the phone didn't shut down as it usually those. In fact right now as I am typing it is draining. I wonder if this is some issue which has been encountered before and someone knows how to deal with it.
My Primary Request
1. Obviously the battery issue is non-reconcilable. I really have to find a way to keep the phone on for its designated time on battery. It seems a phone message since the battery still has some juice.
Peripheral Request
Obviously having a GPS is a plus. I really wonder if there is some driver issue wrong with the phone. I tired using Cyanogen 7 Rom and thought that might make it work but no success. Is there something such as a kernel which has GPS drivers that I can install.
I would imagine your best bet would be to upgrade to 2.3.4 stock. Search for methods if you can't do it OTA.

I've heard horror stories about 2.3.3....glad I never had any experience with it!

5.1 random crash and "imaginary" battery drain

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help..
For the last few weeks my Nexus 5 has been randomly crashing, this has progressively worsened. The phone crashes and completely shuts off, one second it will be working the next it will be off. When I turn the phone back on it thinks the battery is almost completely drained and, when the problem wasn't as bad, the battery level would slowly increase when left.
Now the problem has increased that, when it crashes, the phone will either not fully boot or crash again very soon after starting. The only way to keep the phone on it to have it plugged in, this also seems to prevent the crashes.
I have factory reset the phone and reflashed the latest factory image. I am also rooted.
I've attached two logcat files that I started recording before the phone crashed.
Any advice on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's normally an issue with the battery. When the device thinks the battery is dead (due to sudden voltage drop probably), it shuts down.

Thanks for replying. Does this mean if it have the battery repaired/replaced that the issue should go away? Are there any apps anyone could recommend to check if the voltage is the issue?
