I have CyanogenMod 7.2 RC5.6 and I want to use supercharger v6 and the requirements are Script Manager and Busybox 1.18.2.
I downloaded Busybox 7.7 from Android market, but it does not include 1.18.2.
I checked into Busybox change log and found "busybox-1.18.2.tar.bz2", but is not executable.
How can I proceed?
use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.busybox.installer
Busybox 1.18.2
In Google Play, shows that this app is incompatible. I downloaded through other sites and I'm experiencing problems with Superuser.
When I restarted my phone, I lost the app Root Explorer and Script Manager, basically some of the apps that are on SDcard.
What is going on? How is this possible, losing some of the apps that are on Sdcard, but not all of them?
P.S: I have Sdard 8gb class 4, using S2E with Sd-ext4 1gb.
Please give me a general picture of what might be the problem/problems!!
best busybox
If you are using cm7.2 rc5.6 then you will be surely having the latest busybox installed. Check your current busybox version using busybox installer. And btw v6 supercharhlger requires any busybox above version 1.16.2. So if your busybkx version is above version 1.16.2 then go for installing the script.

i have rooted my xoom properly and i have my xoom on brd 1.6 ghz riptide kernel..but i have problems using titanium backup...whenever i install it, it says root priveleges not acquired....but other apps like screenshot er, setcpu work perfectly...what to do?????
Install a newer busybox, like 1.8 with stericsons busybox installer from the market
I had to install an app called busybox installer. I also had to go into SU and remove busybox, then it asked for root priv's again, Say yes then everything should work.
I need to completely remove busybox from my phone & reinstall. Titanium backup keeps telling me I have busybox 1.8.4 installed. I've used busybox free to uninstall, but it still reports 1.8.4, I used Busybox installer to install a newer version & it fails to install anything but 1.8.4
How can I just completely start over & get a new version of busybox?
I believe I need to manually remove the busybox files & then reinstall, what is a safe way to do this?
Thank you.
You could use this to uninstall it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox.donate&hl=en (click "uninstall").
TB uses busybox from the app itself ( v 1.18.4) . You can choose to use busybox from other sources by selecting it in TB settings.

I got a rooted TF300T with .30 stock firmware, and I wish to install Busybox.
How do I do it? There's a Busybox app at play store, but something tells me that it's more to it than just installing a simple app...
Just download busybox installer from the market and run it, it really is that easy.
I just installed Busybox when I saw, there is another Busybox binary on my system. Is BB part of CM, can I remove my downloaded Busybox from Play store? Thanks.
Note to self: ask Google first...
Busybox is part of CM. But I may have lost the correct symbolic links to busybox. How can busybox set all links to the binary again?
I just purchased RAM Manager Pro but noticed that when I opened the app for the first time I got a popup that said I am missing busybox. Is this an app that is required in order to make RAM Manager Pro work properly? why is it required and if it isn't required why is it asking me to install?
Thanks
BusyBox is a collection of powerful command-line tools in a single binary executable that can be run for UNIX based systems, including Android. So in short busybox hmmm.... Allows more Linux commands!
Some apps require busybox to be installed. To install busybox just root your phone then go to the Play Store and install busybox installer and let it install.
If your phone isn't rooted and you don't want to root your phone then ask the developer for a money refund.
Please press the thanks button if I helped ^_^
