Well almost every rom on this subforum is stable, ofc no alfas nightlys or weeklys... you just need to read tips and set the rom correctly. The problem is probably in your bad settings...random reboots 90% bappens coz of wrong cpu setting or deep idle on...
I also tryed lots of roms and i think cybergr is ****in awsome... flash it and use it with stock kernel raise min cpu to 200 and voltages by one step. It MUST be prety much stable and ofc smooth as butter. Just read every letter of post, and every comment bellow i know you can find yourself in them so there will be your solution for every problem
Btw also liked cm, slower tho but i dissliked missing gaps like maps and google play... why exclude such a usefull apps...
I really like Peter Alfonso's nightlies. Smooth, fast, google apps included. Try it...

Bugless Beast seems to be the most stable for me, with some help of the new franco kernel.

Hey I wanted to install cyanogenmod to my Samsung galaxy s went to download the zip file and it says it cannot be found? Is there antithetical download links that are tested and work?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Link for cyanogenmod 7.1
Hi Calum, I can't post links yet but if you search for
[ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the Samsung Galaxy S II :: V7.1.0 RC1 (9 Oct 2011)
in the search bar for this forum the first page has the download, the link itself doesn't seem to work but the mirror does, also try using the cyanogen mod wiki page if you need help getting it to work, its all there.
enjoy
Thank you for the quick reply but I am looking for the galaxy s Tom not the galaxy s ii rom I tried the mirror for the galaxy s and the file semi-bricked my phone
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Yup, all the mirrors for the official CM7 stable ROMs are dead on the website
Ask your mantainer to reupload it.

Who is my maintainer? And is there any way around this? I put this rom on my san Francisco and I love it

Erm, I don't have your device, so I don't know. Just go to the CM website and it will tell you... the links were down for my Desire S aswell, so I asked our mantainer to reupload it, and he did.
Or why don't you just use the latest RC2? Itsstable.
Yeah, my brother has 7.2 RC2 on his ZTE Blade too. Works great.

You can get cyanogenmod in the cyanogenmod site.
Click devices and then choose one of the buils.
RAC!
Is the rc2 better then? And what is it exactly?

well yeah, RC2 is based of CM7.2, stable is only CM7.1.
CM7.2 RC2 has many bug fixes and new tweaks. RC = release candidate, it isn't the final release, but it has potential to be the final release.

I got a link for the 7.1 I didn't like how the status bar had weird looking Widgets and the Samsung launcher had gone and the icons were all stock so I put it back to the stock 2.6 firmware I prefer it

And you are also right. I bet if you used CM for a week, you would love it. And there's something more: you can easily search for package which mirrors are dead by searching for it's md5checksum. For example update-cm-7.1.0-GalaxyS-signed.zip
md5sum: 9b0080373d67fdf1f88c54d08113c9aa

Hey guys.
There are various jb/ics roms available for our galaxy sl in the android development section. It's really very confusing to choose one among them. I've tried jellybam and slimbean but both had several issues to work on. Please post your individual roms that you people use smoothly on your sl and have less issues and bugs. This'll be convenient for all other users to know about performances of several roms rather than having to download and install a rom and remove it if it has various bugs and go back to a stock rom again.
So, leave the names of your favorite roms (and links to thread if possible).
ONLT ICS/JB
Enjoy
