'Best' anything is subjective, there are threads already regarding MIUI, research them to find what might please you.

All miui versions suck battery very fast on my cappy.

[Q] Confused by all the ICS ROM Variants

I'm itching to flash my NS4G with ICS and I'm unlocked, rooted, and ready to go.
I want to start out with something as close to a stock installation as possible, and I have read numerous other posts about "stock ICS." But what/where is "stock" ICS?
All the ROM's in the NS 4G Forum seem to have their own level of tweaks and enhancements (and accompanying bugs.)
All I want is something close to pure ICS with, prehaps, a kernel that can be overclocked.
Appreciate the insight of those who know. Thanks!
Stock is probably equivalent to AOSP source, unaltered.
Thanks...but where do I find it? There are at least 4 different ROM's that have the ASOP moniker.
I would suggest Peter Alfonso's build

Before you go any further consider the Slim ICS ROM in the dev section.

I couldn't find Pete's ROM on XDA but found it on his site... would it be pete_crespo4g_ota_01-11-12.zip for the NS4G?
i suggest you: Cyanogenmod 9 NS4G
you will find all the information you need in this thread :

Yes use Pete crespo
But I believe someone ported the OTA ICS update and that's what your looking for.

Well almost every rom on this subforum is stable, ofc no alfas nightlys or weeklys... you just need to read tips and set the rom correctly. The problem is probably in your bad settings...random reboots 90% bappens coz of wrong cpu setting or deep idle on...
I also tryed lots of roms and i think cybergr is ****in awsome... flash it and use it with stock kernel raise min cpu to 200 and voltages by one step. It MUST be prety much stable and ofc smooth as butter. Just read every letter of post, and every comment bellow i know you can find yourself in them so there will be your solution for every problem
Btw also liked cm, slower tho but i dissliked missing gaps like maps and google play... why exclude such a usefull apps...
I really like Peter Alfonso's nightlies. Smooth, fast, google apps included. Try it...

Bugless Beast seems to be the most stable for me, with some help of the new franco kernel.

[Q] Favorite rom flavor?

I know there isn't a "best" firmware out there, so I though I'd get everybody's opinion of what YOUR favorite rom is for SKYROCKET.
Careful there going to close your post because it has nothing to do with skyrocket even tho its a great question and a great topic to discuss...with that said I'm using Seans sky is 4.2 by far the best ROM stock or custom flash and enjoy the speed and battery

Look in the dev section. You will see the popular Roms. No need for more useless threads like this.

Good updated rom

Hey,
I am running Parandroid 2.55 and am curious, what's a good alternative that stays updated and features unique characteristics, I'd rather not have any bloatware.

Go to Vincom's thread, under ROMS you will find a list of all current ROMS for our device. Usually in the OP of the thread they list all of the features of the ROM. Pick the one with the features that suit you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785999
OP as stated, just do some research and test them yourself, then you decide. Thanks & Thread Closed.
