for me the cm9 is best i've ever tried...
or you can use your favourite rom and for the stylish try to use app like rom toolbox (root required) just try it....

forgot to say, for the stable rom try to use another kernel...
and remember follow the instructions that given from the dev to flashing rom ...

For the customization, I think the codename android and kang do a great job.

Well almost every rom on this subforum is stable, ofc no alfas nightlys or weeklys... you just need to read tips and set the rom correctly. The problem is probably in your bad settings...random reboots 90% bappens coz of wrong cpu setting or deep idle on...
I also tryed lots of roms and i think cybergr is ****in awsome... flash it and use it with stock kernel raise min cpu to 200 and voltages by one step. It MUST be prety much stable and ofc smooth as butter. Just read every letter of post, and every comment bellow i know you can find yourself in them so there will be your solution for every problem
Btw also liked cm, slower tho but i dissliked missing gaps like maps and google play... why exclude such a usefull apps...

I really like Peter Alfonso's nightlies. Smooth, fast, google apps included. Try it...

Bugless Beast seems to be the most stable for me, with some help of the new franco kernel.

It is so.annoying(

Hi all..today i used samsung galaxy gio s5660. As we know it has lower cpu 800Mhz than.ours..and the gpu is adreno 200..but i felt that it was smooth.all animations in go launcher ex was so.smooth.it is with gingerbread no root no deodex no modifies..stock phone.why our phone isn't smooth as that lower device.can.anyone answer please?
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
Currently i am on xxkpq.rooted deodexed. UT kernel v6. Theme WP7(theme doesnt matter.none as smooth as gio)
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
It is not shockink even optimus one and ace has a much better sound quality than our device
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
I dont matter any sound quality(only thing tjat i want is the smoothness as the.gio have..adreno 200 or powerVr sgx530 .which is better?
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
Dude if ya looking for smoothness then trust me ya better down grade to froyo, cause after xxb3 all firmwares lag a lot,and it looks like all these builts are made just for name sake, hopefully a stable and lag free gingerbread should come otherwise its better to be in froyo
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
But i will loose Dsp manager. Dsp works on froyo? What do i loose if i downgrade to froyo?only utterchaos kernel?and yeah,is there still any development for froyo xxkb3 or?
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
There is no development as such, but there are some good custom Roms,ya ll not be losing a lot other than the kernal, dsp, and i think battery life, but if you want stability i ll prefer froyo anyday than any of the gingerbread Rom

Have you go HQ writing enabled? I think that's the thing.
can u explain what is HQ?i don't know what is this(
Even my completely stock i9003 was super smooth and stable. Sometimes, deodexing can cause certain lags on stock based ROM. Other than that, look to your apps as it may be the cause of all inconvenience (speaking from experience).
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
Don't tell me your phones don't lag, especially the keyboard, and if ya don't restart once in two days?
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
you mean if i use rooted no-deodexed stock xxkpq with third party apps,it will be smooth or?

But yet you're using a different ROM + kernel... o.o
Why do people randomly reserve posts now? And that's a +1 on androidme

There is no "best" rom, but vhgomez's 1.2 for the NS4G is a very good one.
I use Peter Alfonso's 1/2/2011 nightly. Everything works, except for google wallet. I reaally like it, and it's very stable. I haven't had any reboots or force closes

this rom is great! Thanks
Check out ASOP+ with SPeedy 3 kernal, im getting UNREAL battery life, 2-3 days. its crazy!
Nexusbeam for me

I´m using AOSP+ with ICUP Speedy-3 Kernel too. Really stable, fast and best battery life.
The rom is updated nearly daily with good tweaks and lot of stuff to customize.
My 2 Cents...
Big Xie's build is golden, the difference between a ROM from an established, accomplished Developer & those from inexperienced builders are quite evident in this build. Everything works right out the box, clean build from source with Xie's overlay = performance & reliability that can't be attained from a patched together, hacked, drag N drop ROM.

[Q] PDroid on the Nexus S i9023

Hi there. I'm new to the Nexus S. Bought a second hand one after my first Android phone (galaxy ace) died due to water damage. After a week of reading I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone.
Now here is my question, I am a big fan of PDroid wich currently only runs on gingerbread. I really love the ICS interface but until PDroid can run on ICS I am looking for good deodexed gingerbread Rom. So I would like to ask your opinions on the GB roms.

I tried finding Nexbreed on XDA but the thread was closed due to warez. Did you get it from a different site?
Thanks anyway. Someone else opened a post about GB roms and alot of people are recommending Oxygen so ill have a look there.
I ve downloaded it in Rom Manager. Oxygen is good too but i prefer Nexbreed because for Oxygen you have to wipe cache and i need my cache.
Ah ok.. I never used rommanager because it bricked the galaxy ace. But I'm guessing you can download from within the app. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Rommanager is a great app! I can reflash Cwm from within! So I downloaded nexbreed. I am on ICS 4.0.4 do you know if I their are any issues with downgrading to gb?

Bugless Beast and Carbon are both good roms too
Nexbreed is a good one try it out.

Thanks for the input! I'll give it a try tonight.

So I made a PDroid patch, flashed nexbreed had a little problem with super user (didn't seem to work) just reflashed the one I still had from rooting. Flashed PDroid an all works well! Later I will try the other GB roms you all advised but for now nexbreed is looking really fast and stable. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. And let's hope ICS support for PDroid will be out soon

After trying nexbreed for a few days I am happy with it and want to see what else is out there.. I downloaded oxygen and bugless beast but both where odexed. And for PDroid I need a deodexed Rom. So any suggestions for a deodexed gingerbread Rom would be much appreciated
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Seems my PDroid patcher was a bit off, not sure why but no matter what rom I gave it to patch it said it was not deodexed. After reinstalling a different version of PDroid all was good. So I made a successful patch of blandroid and the Pete Crespo rom. I'll have a look at them tomorrow.

What's the best 2.2 rom ?

Hi!
I'm currently on Kyrillos 9.6 - JPU, but 4 weeks after flashing it's slow, and extremely laggy.
I tried to wipe cache/dalvik cache, but no change.
I don't want CM7 or newer, because none of them works without any issues.
What are you guys using ?
All roms would have their problems. Cm7 - all of it works for me anyway
Sent from my GT-I5800 using xda app-developers app
You could always try Purumod its the fastest froyo rom i have ever had on my phone

Fastest and most stable ROM for the G2X?

I got this phone for my mom and wanted to ask what is the most fastest, simple and the most stable ROM for this phone?
PS - I know that this has been asked a lot but just wanted to know what's the latest and greatest
Simplest and most stable is stock.
I've recently gone to CM7.2 and so far I'm pretty happy with it as far as speed and stability

You can get CM from their website cyanogenmod.com
I'm on my phone so I don't have the exact link available.
And I've never used MIUI, sorry

i think that CM7 Last Nigthly works really well to me, on stock kernel and V6 superchager... Go launcher LG UI 3.0 Themed smooth and 16 hrs of normal use...
For speed use CM7 or MIUI, they are both really speedy and pretty stable for this phone, but I feel like MIUI is much faster.
For stability use Stock 2.3.4, except after a while it may begin to slow down but a simple reboot should fix it.
Hope this helped
