I've looked all over this forum and google for a working download link for the cwm 5.0.2.7 recovery p999 image and there isn't any. Can someone provide me with one?
Thanks in advance!
I dont think it has been ported to the G2x yet.

Yep it has, the recovery installation guide in these forums has a link for 5.0.2.7 but it doesn't work anymore. The 5.0.2.6 link still works though, but I'm more interested in the latest one lol. Can anyone upload the latest one?
They used to have it here, but the site went down for a while today and I guess they removed it for some reason, as well as the P999 kangs
Yeah, that's exactly where all the links point to for the latest version, but well, I was hoping that someone that had downloaded it, could upload it and post a link.

Looks like LG has taken the site for updating the G2x live.
See the link at the bottom of the tmonews article
Here is the link

From the looks of the URL this seems to be a staging site and not the "live" or "final" version as yet.
wwwstg.lg.com
The file version is different for this download and the date. Does not mean it is different, has anyone tried it on their phone yet?
First "unofficial" v1.0.1.5
This one v1.0.1.7
do you think they've fixed the light bleed with the phones already coming with ginger bread?

You guys should try going back to froyo instead of updating from the last gb update.

I agree - looks like that might be a staging site... However, this is not:
http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/G2X-Driver/index.jsp
Looks like neither the stage or production site has working links though - it's all text with no clickable items other than the site map at the bottom.

It does not work. Still detects same version. I suspect it looks at something else too, maybe bsseband.

what is stock recovery and how do you flash it? This is the one thing about android that eludes me...so there's a copy of the rom somewhere that's built in, in case the phone has a failure of some type?
looking to root my LG GX2. It currently is running Gingerbread 2.3.3. Looking around the forum I see I need to install One-Click NvFlasher ClockworkMod. I am having trouble finding a link to download this. Are there alt. links?

Here you go, make sure and read the instruction.

Like he said, read and then read some more. Make sure you flash the correct roms, no O2x roms!

Thanks, I noticed that forum as well. However, the link for NvFlasher seems to be dead. Was hoping to find alt. link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054492
Link there works.
Also, if you're looking to run the stock ROM, only then do you need to root (so to speak) otherwise all the custom ROMs out there are already rooted so if you want to run a custom ROM all you need to do is make a back up of your stock ROM via Clockwork Mod>factory rest (wipe data)>wipe dalvik>flash new ROM enjoy the awesomeness (or suck if you don't like the ROM)

If you are trying to download with your phone run over to the android market and get "Download all files". I had trouble downloading with the stock browser and this fixed my issue.

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong place. It won't let me post in the developer section.
I rooted my One X back in March and decided to switch to the One S because the One X is a bit big for my little hands.
I have followed the root instruction, unlocked bootloads without any problems but when i flash CWM it say its been successful but it won't boot when into to recovery. Instead I get a message at the top saying loading recovery and a message at the bottom saying something about being an android device and i shouldn't be doing what i'm doing.
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know what I might be able to try to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Don't use CWM it hasnt been support for a long time, instead use TWRP so so so much better.

Thanks for this. I've had a quick look and it says to install this will GooManager (with root permission) but I don't have root yet. How am I supposed to flash this? Is there a file I can flash with adb?
Thanks

Hello all,
I used to have CM10 installed, but I decided to give SlimBean a shot on my AT&T Skyrocket. I downloaded the 3.1 ROM (Slim-i727-3.1.0-OFFICIAL), and flashed it successfully. However, since install, I've been getting notifications from UpdateMe about upgrading to 3.1. Sure enough, I checked the 'About' section and it claims I'm running version 2.6 of the ROM, and version 4.1.2 of Android. Most annoyingly, I tried downloading the supposed 3.1 update from UpdateMe, only to get an error every time I try to download it (though I have used it to download other add-ons flawlessly). Any ideas what could be happening?
EDIT: Just for clarification, I did a full wipe/cache-clearing prior to installing the new ROM.
Thank you,
RMJ

If you read the FAQ link, which is right below the download link in the SlimRom thread you would find this:"I get an error when downloading the update with UpdateMe"
We don't support OTAs at the moment.
Please download the newest version of our ROM from the website.

That's the problem, though: I HAVE the newest version (as far as I can find) downloaded and flashed. I'm looking at it right here, file name is Slim-i727-3.1.0-OFFICIAL.zip. However, upon flashing it, my phone says 2.6. And I did read the FAQ, that's the minor part of the question I asked, I just thought I should include it for detail.
That said, let me repeat: Why would a downloaded 3.1 version of SlimBean give me 2.6?
Okay, I solved the problem by reflashing (again), and it's finally 3.1. Not sure why it wasn't working before. Anyway, thanks for the [lack of] help!

Sounds to me like you may have flashed the ota update fix which, if flashed after 3.1, would revert your build.prop to the earlier version. If that's the case, there's no need. The updater app issue was corrected with 3.1 and you would have known that if you read the whole thread. In fact, this exact problem was already discussed in the slim thread. Reflashing the 3.1 build is the only fix.

Hey all, I'm trying to flash an old p500h back to the stock Telus ROM (2.2 preferred) but all the links I can find are dead. Does anybody have a link they could share? If not, I guess I'll just flash a (hopefully) stable 2.3 ROM from somewhere in the forums.
Thanks!
