[DEV] KDZ Firmware Update Fix

Problem:
Latest Version of LG Mobile Update prevents uses from updating firmware from kdz files.
Info:
As LG Tools relay on lg webserver to provide application updates and firmware updates it's not possible to just use the old version as it force fully update it self.
Solution:
I used network sniffer(Wireshark) to sniff all the traffic between application and LG Webserver i tracked the important urls and the data coming from LG Webserver. I created all the files with same names and with data from LG Webserver. I changes the LG Mobile Application from 1.5.4.9 to 1.5.4.8. Rest of the files has same data as LG.
How To:

3) Go to Settings
4) Go to HTTP Settings
5) Change Port to 9002
6) Extract the Content of Attached Zip file into C:\shttps\www
7) Edit C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\host in notepad and add the following Line
127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
8) Enjoy Flashing firmware as usual

This method has lot of advantage
-LG Is watching everything when you run firmware update with KDZ Method lg is logging everything you mobile No, SN No, OLD Firmware, New Firmware etc..

I have added shttp as a attachment to my first post.

Sorry for the stupid reply... I had already flashed my phone with v21v using the kdz method, am I to understand this is not possible anymore because newer versions are available? And this allows us to flash the older versions again? so in theory I could try v20b and go back to v21a or v10 or whatever I wanted...?

I did everything step by step.
Now when I run Lg Update tool,it stucks.
And the updater shows the message in the attachment.

problem with communication between cell phone and PC.
please disconect the cable from your phone and remove and connect the battery.
power on your phone and press restart button to resume update.
But is the same **** all time!
any help?!

Press Vol Down and Connect Cable or Press Vol Up and Connect Cable

There is no device specific files so i think it might work

u simply put ur fon in download mode by presing down vol+home key+power btn and connect it to pc through ur usb cables. chek in device manager that ur fon has been added as new com port and also verify it by odin. if ur fon is recognized by odin then ur usb cables and fon is working fine.

im just afraid that i my DOWNLOAD MODE will be affected by the USB MODE error..

thnx for increasing my thanks meter, download mode cant be affected by any software. Its built-in facility to recover your from all kind of rom failures, personaly i tested this when i destroy my rom and boot loader too and my fon is jst showing samsung popular pc-phone

thank you for your help sir.
i've just fixed my usb port.
i poke cleaned it with a needle and it sparked and shut down.
thought it was broken but then i restarted and usb mode is recognized.
hope i can flash again soon.
do you know a CWM KERNEL for a 2.3.6 android version?
i only know how to flash rom using ODIN not CWM so i dont know which CWM i need to flash an ICS rom.

ok flash any rooted kernel, like semaphore through odin. download and put ics rom zip file to your sdcard, goto cwm recovery by pressing vol up+menu+power then select install zip from sdcard then browse ics rom zip n press ok

i installed sweetsnour kernel in my lg optimus one p500 through rommanager application...and now touchpad of my mobile is not working and it doesn't respond for calls eventhough sim is inside..please help me sir!!!

Try not to use rom manager for anything. It has been known to brick our phone. If you have a backup of your working rom, restore from your recovery. Else clean flash the rom zip again. This will over write your bad kernel flash with the default kernel of the rom.

how to flash the rom zip...i don't know..pls tell me..i don't have the backup of my working rom and i didn't enable usb debugging option in my phone because its touch not working..so pls tell me the solution!!

Seems you have not installed a custom recovery. Is your phone rooted?

Any custom recovery like cwm or AmonRa? Else try factory reset. 3 button combo of vol down + home + power I believe ! Keep pressed all three buttons for 5 secs. No harm to try.

I'm very happy to present you a project of a new kind : The RecoverX Project
The goal of this project is to gather ALL the recoveries for ALL android devices in ONE tool which install them on the devices. RecoverX is coded in C++ thanks to QtSDK and allow to install a recovery on more than 150 different devices !!!
You just have to select your phone and your recovery, to click "Install" and RecoverX does the rest, It's as simple as that

Behind this tool : over 120 - 180 hours of work, 4200 lines of code and +350 uses by day !!!
Here is the list of the recoveries which are available :
This program require different prerequesties, depending of your device
- Wether you need an unlocked bootloader to flash the recovery partition (and fastboot drivers on your PC)
- Wether you need root access and usb debugging activated (if busybox is not installed, RecoverX will ask you the permission to install it).

DO the Following without battery
Cathicng ur device in device manager write device manager in Run open device manager proatively switch of ur Phone remove the Battery and then with VOL+ button connect ur phone keep giving tries and tries unill u catch omap then update the driver after that has been done select the driver locally then u have a window for the disk select the have disk and reach for the folder of omap in the u will see a folder named USB Drivers in the u will get Omap_0 click on that your phone is now a omap driver
Now Setting omap Flasher :-
first / install the omapflash install
Second / select and Run..bat in omap
third/ press 2 now it will be waiting or the device
fourth/ without the battery on Connect the phone with Vol+ button till u reach the 5 second wait connect the battery
as soon as possible now it will ask fastboot phon press yes now OMAP is installed on ur phone
Now Setting the Port to com 41:- Essential or else LG flashtool wont work
Connect the Phone as the Same way as before holding Vol+ button
once Done that you will port in it open the port select it go to advanced option of port and change the port
from 5 or 3 to COM 41
THAT'S IT NOW JUST CHILLAX Take a cup of Coffee
LG FLASHTOOL AND LG FLASH GUIED AND 28RTBIG PARTITION
1- Setting up the LG Flash tool:-you will need this file which is very essential it writes firmware to the phone and no issue will arise LGP920_110622.dll: Get it here: http://d-h.st/Fc from Drastic00
2- and the 28RTbigPAT file which ill be available here 28brtlarge.rar--> http://d-h.st/dxl from xbsall
AS THE ROM IS BASED ON ROGERS 30C Big Partcition is Required so now start with the Flashing
after download 28RT large .rar un pack it and place it like i have done here
Now Press the ok Button and wait, now check at the trimmer button that all the 16 ports are selected or not if yes press ok and proceed further and press the arrow button now ur roms are ready to flash Chillax Have the half cup of cofee again .now when the coffee is ove put the battery back to the phone dont power up now holding vol+ connect the phone and dont touch it until it reaches 100%your phone will boot up autmatically and thats it u have ported ICS to ur Rom with Big Partition with 2 gb Phone memory worked out by XBsall
NOW FLASHING THE ROM:-
1) when you have flashed everything until 28BRT big partition You will have the 940 recovery installer
2) as i have seen my rom was not flashing in TWRP so install CWM Recovery
3)Go into Recovery Back up your data in case you want to go back Create a NANDROID backup
4) Wipe Factory, Wide Dalvik , Wipe Cache
5)choose zip from SDCARD
6) Find the UBUNTU.ZIP
7)FLASH the ROM and wait till it install
8)Reboot system now
Now you have installed UBUNTU.zip ENJOY
as i have made this guide and rom for other user and me i feel i will be getting a good response will be Releasing the Rom as soon as it gets uploaded on a good website the release will be Delayed of the Rom for about two Days

Not downloading
For some reason it wont download to the phone.
USB debugging is enabled. I followed your guide but for some reason it never actually starts the download :/
Also when i choose the AllInOne from the Rom folder i get this error:
BROM ERROR : S_FTHND_FILE_LOAD_FAIL (5008)

Here Mod Edit by @Darth : Links to other tech forums are not allowed on XDA. Especially ones with no respect for the GPL. Link removed.

I tried it:
with vodafone IT , no network working
Camera does not work
double tap to wake up not working
wifi seems ok
usb seems ok
I was not able to have root on stock rom so I tried CM12.1 to have alternative but without network is unuseful

flash the xancin rom its rooted you can flash it with trwp recovery
beside i root the stock rom easy
step 1 download the stockrom k6000
step2 load the stockrom in flashtools don,t close flashtool
unmark everything but recovery,then copy the trwp recovery in the stockrom thats loaded flash the recovery
you won,t get ok in flashtools
then reboot the phone in to trwp recovery and flash the superuser.zip file
then the phone is rooted
but after a other reboot the trwp recovery is gone
the you can flash it with Rahzr again then it will be there forever
it only works on this way.and a did it on 3 k6000 phones
ps you can lose imei but can restored with mobileuncle

In every case I installed twrp using fastboot command:
1) choose unlock bootloader in Settings --> Developer options --> OEM unlock
2) switch off and restart in Fastboot mode (Vol+ key and Turn-on key for many seconds)
3) Then :
fastboot oem unlock (confirm on mobile)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
TWRP starts and I SuperSU.zip.
I was able just ones to made root....
I tried three times CM12.1 and I can confirm for the problem said before...are there news about the CM12.1 update?

Installed this today on my K6000. Following HTC-TYTN2's instructions but I get No data connection and making a voice call takes ages.
WiFi works 100% I also entered EE(UK) APN settings manually and still no data connection.

I'm waiting to receive my K6000 Pro, really hope they will release some custom roms for it as well.

All working.
The bug that I found:
- audio streaming not working but it says that is connected (so I can use car audio to call but not for the streaming)
- Sometimes gallery freeze and then appear message Close or Wait
Limitations:
- no possible double tap to wake up
Strange (but may be known):
- MTK tools to change parameters are not working (for example: MTK Engineering Mode Start, Mobileuncle Tools, ToolHero ecc..), so I cannot check hardware
In my K6000 using maps I have always "finding GPS satellite..." and navigation does not work!
I have this problem since stock ROM (V8 version) and I tried CM12.1 thinking to solve!
Can someone suggest a solution for this?

When i select fastboot mode it just stays there with "=>FASTBOOT mode..." what do i need to do to proceed to your next steps ?

when my phone is turned off, my pc can't install the drivers and it says me "MTP Usb device Failed" what can i do to fix it ?

You can ask to refresh the link with the rom.

- install Sp falsh tool and USB Driver .
- open Flash tool and choose MTK ALL IN ONE DL file from Rom folder .
- then choose scatter file from rom folder .
- Switch off the phone ther connect by USB Cable and click Download Button .
- wait to finish Download then restart the phone .
- GOOD Luck .
