Bass Boost with Voodoo Control - Verizon Droid Charge

Does anybody have bass boost working with Voodoo Control?
I remember it worked with Froyo.
I am currently on EP4 stock deodexed/debloated. The bass boost controls do nothing. The sound driver is loaded.
Thanks

Imnuts kernel works fine with it

Thanks, I am on imo 4.0 and ext4. Do you think I can flash directly over without wiping dalvik, cache, or data?

You should wipe dalvik and cache

You don't have to wipe data. Just the cache and dalvik

You don't need to wipe anything when flashing a kernel. There are no .apks to create cache files or .dex files from. I never wipe anything when flashing kernels and nothing goes wrong.

I didn't think Bass Boost was working on any of the latest GB kernels, whether it be imo's or imnut's. I was playing with the Bass Boost option the other day and it definitely wasn't working.

It's working fine on PBJ. Doesn't work on any others.

Same here but I don't use it very much because I have PowerAMP and when using them both it creates a little bit of distortion.

After tinkering with poweramp's EQ and tone controls I decided I prefer the voodoo bass boost for sound quality although I like that poweramp gives you more control.
Also, you can only get so much juice out of the Wolfson audio hub. It is only 6mW, not sure if that if for each channel though. You are likely boosting into clipping, which is easy to do.

Damn you guys rock. One thing holding me back right now from getting ext4 on system is "not enough space on sdcard" tried it with ICINB and KH1 dropping honks kernal. I have already partitioned the card for audiophile so the partition is there it just isn't being recognized by GB. Everything else is on ext4 and working great. I really don't want to lose another gig if I don't have to. I'm on an old Ibook G4 Mac. So any way to get GB to notice the partition that's already there?
(and yes I READ ALOT AND THEN EVEN MORE). In all I've read there isn't an answer at this time other than cwm advanced repartition 1048 swap 0? BUT IT'S THERE ALREADY!
THANKS

Just because you did it on audiophile doesn't mean it worked, makea new partition in cwm and retry the conversion

Hrm, I'm flashing from ICBINB KG6 v1. I realized that SD Booster isn't there (I'm assuming it was supposed to be there, since ICBINB KG6 v2 has it).
This is what I did:
NANDROID of ICBINB KG6 v1
Turned off lagfix
CWM flashed ICBINB KH1
Made sure lagfix was off
Booted up
Installed BusyBox 1.17.1
Turned on lagfix
CWM Recovery > DID NOT WIPE DATA, only wiped cache
Advance restored NANDROID ICBINB KG6 v1
Converted to ext4
Everything works soo sexily, but I just noticed SD booster isn't there. I know SD booster is available through the market though. Just wanna make sure if it's not meant to be there and if I can install it!
As always, thanks again for this amazing ROM!
Hmmm sdbooster should be there grab a file explorer and look in /data/app or simply install from market, it should be there though are you sure your ext4 converter went through properly

Yup, I heard Linda sing. I'll just pick it up from the market. Btw, what size would you recommend for the SD Booster cache?
On another note, I'm hitting 2,200-2,300 on Quadrant at 1.0. Super buttery smooth! Only complaint is that my games aren't running as smooth as ICBINB Froyo.

How do I get Voodoo sound

Hi, I just flashed my first rom , the icbinb kh1 2.3.4 rom. Everything went smooth and the phone runs incredibly slick. I also installed Voodoo control app it says I am not running a Kernel that supports extended sound controls. Is there a kernel compatible with this rom that supports voodoo sound? Thanks.
load the driver and then have it load at boot the 2 check boxes and your good enjoy

in the voodoo sound app if it says the drivers not loadede load it load voodoo sound app if it doesnt take u to the kernel options hit the menu button paper looking button that lights up at the bottom of ur phone
hit the kernel opiton that pops up on screen first 2 chceck boxes click em
The voodoo control app actually says:
Voodoo sound improvements
sorry, this device doesn't run a kernel supporting extended sound controls.
so it sounds like the ICBINB KH1 GB rom I am running doesn't have voodoo sound. It does have voodoo lagfix though. So I'm guessing I have to flash another cutom kernel that has voodoo sound.

here let me post a pic all you need to do is check the first and second box to enable the sound because it will driver hack it
You have to get the paid version the paid version lets you modify sound with or without a modified kernel as long as you have root

Flash voodoo kernel to stock ROM question...

Hey all,
I have a NS4G that is rooted with an unlocked bootloader. The only other thing I want to do is use that color enhancing voodoo mod for "richer" color on the screen. I noticed, however, that you need to flash a kernel that supports it.
Would I be able to do that now, or would have to load another ROM first? Just curious, as I would prefer to keep the stock interface...
Thanks a TON,
Matt!

Netarchy for stability,Matr1x and Trinity for more performance and better battery life.

The only kernel I've had any luck with is the Matr1x series. Currently running v9.5 (the latest) and it's running great.
Smooth, stable, quick, and easy on power consumption. Supports Voodoo, bln, deep idle, etc.
NS4G NSCollab Sprint 1.0.51, Matr1x 9.0, Shady Arctic Blue Theme
Thanks guys....
That really cleared everything up.... I went ahead and flashes the CFS version of Matr1x 9.5. For good measure, I wiped the cache partition and the dalvik cache 3 times each before installing Matr1x from the SD "card." Now i'm off to tweak....
Thanks again,
Matt!
D'Oh! wrong section, please ignore.

AOKP M5 and VOODOO

I can't seem to get voodoo sound to run on stock AOKP M5 with stock kernel.
I bought the voodoo sound plus, but when i load the driver i get a ''voodoo sound driver loading error''.
I'm rooted and it has the correct permissions etc.
Anyone have any success with this?
Perhaps the stock kernel doesn't have voodoo settings? Not really sure. The first thing I do is flash a kernel and voodoo everything is working fine for me.

Yes but i thought the whole point of the paid version of voodoo is that it loads the necessary drivers into the kernel :S
Doesn't AOKP on our phones have Pete's kernel as stock? I thought one of our members had the module loaded for Voodoo with Petes kernel.

No idea about the kernel, but definitely not working :/
Bumping this as i'm desperate.
AFAIK, voodoo module only loads on stock ICS kernel, not pete's. But check his thread in development, I remember there was a debate about it some time ago, don't know what was the conclusion.
Although if you're a fan of a stockish kernel, load up SimpleKernel from terryhau, it's built from stock ICS sources and has Voodoo & BLN added.

Sound stutters when playing music.

My phone has a stuttering sound when playing music, I've tried different ROMs, different music players, different Music enhancement and everything, and I can't get rid of it.
I'm also hoping that it is not a hardware problem since the warranty on my phone is over.
Need help guys
Good day cheers!

Did you have this issue with stock Samsung ROMs?
What format is your music in? What kbps is your music at?
I had same problem on ICS stock kernel. Just flash other kernel dedicated for ics
Sollution for Stutter problem
Install Player Pro.
Then Install DSP Pack, and then do the following
Setting--Audio---Enable DSP Pack----Audio Buffer----Select very large
