My phone has a stuttering sound when playing music, I've tried different ROMs, different music players, different Music enhancement and everything, and I can't get rid of it.
I'm also hoping that it is not a hardware problem since the warranty on my phone is over.
Need help guys
Good day cheers!

Does anybody have bass boost working with Voodoo Control?
I remember it worked with Froyo.
I am currently on EP4 stock deodexed/debloated. The bass boost controls do nothing. The sound driver is loaded.
Thanks
Imnuts kernel works fine with it
Thanks, I am on imo 4.0 and ext4. Do you think I can flash directly over without wiping dalvik, cache, or data?

You should wipe dalvik and cache

You don't have to wipe data. Just the cache and dalvik
You don't need to wipe anything when flashing a kernel. There are no .apks to create cache files or .dex files from. I never wipe anything when flashing kernels and nothing goes wrong.
I didn't think Bass Boost was working on any of the latest GB kernels, whether it be imo's or imnut's. I was playing with the Bass Boost option the other day and it definitely wasn't working.

Same here but I don't use it very much because I have PowerAMP and when using them both it creates a little bit of distortion.
After tinkering with poweramp's EQ and tone controls I decided I prefer the voodoo bass boost for sound quality although I like that poweramp gives you more control.
Also, you can only get so much juice out of the Wolfson audio hub. It is only 6mW, not sure if that if for each channel though. You are likely boosting into clipping, which is easy to do.

i have no issues with this kernel, but if u have a nexus s and not a 4g i will advise you to not oc to 1.4, stay at 1.3/1.2 . cuz nexus s processor are diferent...
but if u think it is the kernel, flash another one, but that one should work perfect

Try raising voltages back to stock. Some phones can UV without rebooting but become far less efficient and unstable. Matr1x is undervolted by default.
Edit: See here for stock voltages.

I'm on Venom Ss and using the default kernel for the ROM, but after setting the maximum at 1.026mhz and minimum at 702mhz, the settings don't stick, changing to 384mhz maximum and minimum constantly. How do I make the settings stick? I have done a full wipe. Thanks in advance!

Looks like I solved it : download the latest ZSPLD firmware from sammobile.com, flash ardadat's latest kernel (4.2b6), use setcpu 3 and set the governor to interactive and scheduler to deadline. I managed to play a few mins of Temple Run and had no freezes and the framerate was excellent (I'd say above 40 fps). If this also works for you add this to the OP and change the title.

I'm pretty sure it was in fact lagging with XXLQ9 + ardadat 4.2b6 and interactive/sio.
My games play at high FPS but:
- Most of them suffer a big pause of 2 seconds each 5 minutes of playing, more or less.
- Boost 2, which is a fantastic game, is laggy while in my Galaxy S it is smooth as hell.
Someone with similar problems maybe?

ZSPLD is a "very updated" build of 4.0.4. It has a new keyboard, Polaris Office 4.0 and some other updates that aren't available in other builds. As of performance, I managed to play a few mins and had only one 3 second freeze followed immediately by another 1 sec one.
I just got this phone, and I'm liking it, is there a better kernel than the stock cm10 one? I plan on listening to music and using core features of the phone. Nothing fancy.
Also, mines a 4g if it makes a difference.

MATR1X for stability
AIR for features gov choices (I use AIR cause I like the blue color really gives the LCD a rich deep look)
Marmite good all around people rave about it
Trinity for performance
I'm sure I'm missing some but these are the ones I have flashed
You can't really go wrong just start flashing and see which one fits your usage best.

My apologies, I was in a hurry and did not think the topic was CM10 specific. At the moment other then the CM Kernel I do believe Marmite is the only supported CM kernel and I believe that has stipulations. You can ask the dev bedalus. He is very helpful.
Another question, in the update script is data wiped? Or does it just flash system?
