Hey Guys,
I have a simple question (I think), but can't seem to find the answer...
After calling an unknown number normally my phone asks me if I want to save that number to my contacts. Today however, I wasn't thinking and accidentally clicked "Don't ask me this again" in staid of the "yes" button.
I would like to switch that option back on, but I can't seem to find the option... I've searched in my phone settings, Google and the XDA-Forum.
I'm kinda PPC noobish, so I don't know if this is a standard WM6.1 function or if this is a function backed into the ROM I flashed onto my HTC-Touch (the ShadoW 2.0 ROM by Cloudyfa (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363637)).
It's a small thing, but something I find useful to use so I hope someone can give me the answer Thanks in advance!
Anyone?
Can anyone tell me how to do this? I mean, if I can switch it off, there must be a way to switch it back on...
Hi all,
Before I start I want to mention that I searched the forums as best possible to figure this out but I've had no luck.
My brother-in-law just got an Optimus M, from metropcs, last night. When he synced his contacts to facebook, he lost the ability to edit them and all the phone numbers were lost. Apparently, the facebook data overwrote the existing contact info. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? As it stands, he can't make calls from the contact list and he can't edit/add/delete contacts without going through facebook.
Another problem he's noticed is that he got an error when he first connected the phone to his laptop via usb. After that error, now his computer doesn't even detect the phone. Is there a way to fix that?
A final question I have, what is the best way to root this phone? I'm used to working with the Evo, which has it's own forum. It's a little trickier to find relevant info for this phone. My search-fu will have to get much stronger, I think.
Thanks all!

Well I am new here, and I also want help to root this phone, I was trying with that Z4root program and a few other things with no success.
but for the USB problem here is what I Did:
firstly go here:
go to lg dot com (sorry i cannot post links yet apparently lolz)
download that program LG mobile support tool
2. Install it, and while the phone is DISCONNECTED open the program.
3. Select English.
4. Next, on the main window choose to install the USB driver, and choose LGm690 as the model number.
5. Wait while the app downloads and installs 4 or 5 separate drivers.
6. On your phone, enable USB debugging and plug it in.
Hi all, I recently bought a HTC Hd7 Windows mobile as a second user, everything works great and as it's meant to. The thing is whilst looking through the phone settings I seen that it still had the previous owners phone number stored as "My number" in the settings. There appears to be no way to edit it. I have tried software reset and a hard reset both with sim in and sim out. Does anyone know how to edit this to show my number ? I know it's not a big issue with the running of the phone but I would just like it to show my number. Thanks for any help in advance
cheers

Have you tried samsung dive?
Samsung dive enables you to send a message for the person carrying the phone if you already signed in with it on your phone!

This happened to me and many phones got stollen from me but samsung dive only works on samsung phones you can still contact your carrier and i think you can locate it using its unique serial number. Good luck finding your phone!
Talk to your carrier, and if they can't track phone through IMEI, have them blacklist the IMEI on that phone so it will be useless. That's about all that you can do..

As a matter of fact, not even your provider will help much if it's not to save someones life. File a case with the police, get a new phone and install AVAST first (it tells you the number of the new SIM once it's changed).
If your gmail account is still in use, try sending YOURSELF a message with friendly words to the thief of your phone and offer him money. In a perfect scenario, your phone will notify the guy of an incoming E-Mail and he is curious enough to read it. If you are clever, you include a read receipt within that mail, which might reveal the location of the thief. I'm sure there are also other services online, which offer traceable E-Mails. In a perfect world, this guy is at home and opens it there.
Once he agrees to hand over your phone (just offer enough money), call police and tell them when and where the f*cker will give you the phone to pwn him for even changing the SIM. Mentally prepare that all your data got deleted. Good luck mate, don't give up. Never!
have you any anti-virus on phone?
Do you get your phone back?
Best of luck with your phone

Hello I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, Model Number SM-S902L. I shattered the screen on it today and I am trying to recover my contacts. I have tried a couple of programs to try to access them to no avail. The program doesn't have my model number listed and if I try to type it in it won't accept it. I can turn the phone on and hook it up to PC and access files, but I don't know if I can get the contacts that way or not. Please someone tell me if there is certain file I can grab off there and put on my new phone or if I can just view the file and grab the contacts from there. HELP PLEASE!
1. Let me ask the obvious. Was your phone synced to google contacts (I am sure you will not be asking if it was but it never hurts to ask)
2. By any chance did you sync with Kies?
3. Which software did you try. - Did you try this one? http://www.fjsoft.at/en/
