Didn't work !
I tried flashing the RUU.zip from the SD and i tried different ones but some doesn't work and others just stops when the progress bar reaches almost the end. and the phone freezes !!
the RUU's which are .exe on windows PC are mostly shared on filesharing sites and they all disabled the sharing option due to the new copyright problems !!
any idea on how to get those RUU's.exe other than filesharing sites ?!
thanks for ur reply

I assume your on a HTC Droid incredible 2 this is what you need
http://www.multiupload.com/MYOZFW9Q0Y
Then
Rename the file to "PG32IMG.zip" (without quotes)
Place it on the root of the SD Card, unplug the USB cable
Boot into the bootloader: turn off the device, hold power and volume down (make sure the phone is not connected to the computer)
Follow the on-screen directions

gsmarti hard reset... power cut off

I was flashing my gsmarti's ROM this morning... I follow all the steps and it is successfully go into the "flashing environment"... Unfortunately, the process stuck at the beginning... and suddenly, it turn off itself... then, I cant switch on my phone anymore... and I dont even get the static Gigabyte screen as well...
Is there any solution to this?
Thank you!
Do you know where to find the Rom Upgrade Utility for your phone?
If you go to your carrier's website and log into it, do you by any chance have a downloadable file that will restore your phone to its factory settings?
There's also many different GSmart models .. which one do you have?
I looked up Gsmart phones, and their support site has firmware upgrades listed for some of their phones .... see if you're is listed.
http://www.gigabytecm.com/eng/gbc_supportcategory.aspx?sid=7&tabIndex=3
Thank for you reply =)
Actually i am using gsmart i (64)... and i have the latest firmware with me...
Because this device is using POCKET GHOST to restore and backup the system...
as i mentioned earlier... my "flashing" process is stuck at the beginnig... so, in my opinion, i think the pocket ghost has been deleted and i cant do the flashing anymore... is it true?
If it run's Windows Mobile ... you should be able to run the RUU at the bootloader screen....
As far as how do you get into the bootloader on your phone ... I have no idea.... on mine, I soft reset while holding the camera button in and keeping the camera button held in until the bootloader screen comes up which looks something like this (note i just randomly found this pic on google images)

Hi... thank you ya...
but i am still stuck in the black screen...
and i cant find any way to access into the bootloader...
i am searching the other sites... and i came across this:
they said if anything goes wrong during "flashing", the ROM will be locked...
is that true?
and one more thing, the bootloader, is it almost same as the bios (cmos) of
our pc?
and for your information... a lot of people are having the same problem...
thx thx... appreciate!! =)
Is this the bootloader?
Yep, that is our bootloader for the Gsmart series. On the i300 its accessed by pressing the red phone, green phone and power buttons at the same time.
If you want to change your ROM then you need to load the new version to your SD card (and I think it needs to be the only contents on the card).

rooting garmin asus a50..noob style

hi,im a noob to android and my first step into the pool is the garmin asus a50..
yesterday i decided to root the phone
i installed a file manager
i installed titanium back up and ran it
i installed z4root and rooted
i installed super user
i installed root explorer.
all went well until i started deleting all the optus bloatwear, facebook ciao etc
i did a reboot of the fone and a msg came up stating a google file couldnt be opened, apart from that all was well..
so i decided i needed a restore to start again,i couldnt work out how to restore from titanium so i did a master reset and reinstalled the software off the garmin site..
i want to try this again...this time ill just root and root explore.
has anyone got any tips or ideas for me..
where i went wrong before etc
cheers
guys whats happening? lol
everybody is ruining the bastard. ha ha
mine is broken too, a50, i rooted the damn brick with faulty app, then it got slow and unstable, so i did the master reset, wow. now a virus warning stacks on the screen after start up and pin code, saying the battery cover is open and ask for restart, crazy retarded.
so it doesnt let me to do anything.
I need to install the ROM via USB plug, anyone got an idea if it works? Im actually mushroom, so I need to know which Rom is good, like 2.1 update works? and can pour the rom into its chip using USB cable?and if yes, how should I do it.
Plug the phone into the wall or computer.
power it off.
Hold the D-Pad left while powering the phone back on.
"Wipe Userdata" should appear on the screen. Let go, and let it run.
It will restore the phone to factory settings, including all software.

Acer Gallant Duo E350

Hi,
I've been having problems with this phone, everytime I turn on the data plan it keeps poping up messages that all the process have stopped working so whenever I rebooted this keeps happening.
I tried going into recovery mode (e3) and wiping (factory reset) everything but this doesn't work, everything remains the same,
So I was trying to follow the guide to root it and load cwm recovery (from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1899736) but it is not working.
I installed the drivers and I'm able to see my device in the windows explorer but when I start the runme.bat to root the phone it just throws a bunch of error messages.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So i tried to load the cwm recovery using the flastool and the process completed with no problem (the green circle appeared) but when I turn on the phone it loads the stock e3 recovery mode.
Is my phone broken ? what do you guys suggest I do ?
thanks in advance
i have this problem to :S somebody can help us??
Liquid Gallant won't reboot
I've got the same issue as mentioned in the post before; does the owner found a solution for his issue?
I tried to follow the tutorial on this forum and got the same issue when installing the *. bat file. File runs but won't detect the phone and closes.
Untill now the problem persists; frequent crash and shut down while using (wathever what, phone, internet, apps,..). I have not much experience with smartphones but it seems to me the internal boot is corrupt. Are any possible tpols or hints available or should the item be returned to ACer (when you know their helpdesk and utility service is crap!)
Same problem
Hello,
I had the same problem last year. I couldn't hard reset ( tried the 2 ways: via the settings or via the volum button when you start). It doesn't reset anything. The applications closes by themselves and I cannot do anything.
Last year, I sent the phone under the warranty and they repaired it and sent to me back.
Now I have exactly the same problem but my phone is not under warranty anymore.
Does anyone found a solution ?
Thanks.

Phone keeps looking for the files PG58DIAG.ZIP & PG58IMG.ZIP

Hi Everyone,
Since I originally modified my Sensation (Rooting, S-Off, etc) I find that when I enter the boot menu (Volume Down + Power) I am presented with a readout regarding the files PG58DIAG.ZIP and PG58IMG.ZIP. Basically the phone tries to load PG58DIAG.ZIP, states that it cannot find it, then looks for PG58IMG.ZIP, can't find it, etc. The video below shows what I mean (please excuse the shakiness) -
Video of PG58DIAG.ZIP issue
Here is a screenshot from near the end of the attempted file loading process -

I am wondering if there is any way of stopping the process outlined above. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This is normal
Sent from my HTCSensation using xda app-developers app
bootloader scans everytime for any of these files
there is no problem at all
android1234567 (very good developer) explained it to me like this:
The PG58 stuff you seen in bootloader mode appear because you have an SD card inserted; the bootloader was just checking your SD card to see if it had a bootloader-update package in it.

LG L9 P769 Home button not responding

Hi. recently I have been trying to change the android_id, and ran into a problem in the process. i resulted to editing the setings.db file. since then after i fixed permissions, and restarted, now the home button doesn't respond. I know it isn't a hardware issue because when i press it the LED lights still respond by blinking when I push it, but that's it. please anyone? this is a gift

Restoring the file should get it working as usual. If you don't just re flash your ROM. That's the only way I knit that will fix it. Or open your ROMs .zip. Locate the file and push it to your phone.

ok, I cant flash a new rom because i cant figure out how to connect unlock the boot loader. so where in the zip would be the setings.db file? so i can push it to the phone

I'm not sure, I don't own a lg.
Just open up a file explorer in your phone. Then just type in the search "settings.db" and it should should the file. Up the top it shows you what folder its in. Then just a find a ROM or stock ROM you're using then find it in that, then push the file to the destination in your phone using adb.
