I have a USB Jig how do I reset the counts? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have a USB Jig how do I reset the counts? It'll boot into download mode but wont reset the counter. How can I do this?

USB JIG won't reset flash counter!!!!! TO reset flash counter you have to do flash stock kernel through ODIN or something. I am not 100% sure, But search around i m sure you will find some answers!

I don't believe anyone's found a way to reset the counter. Using a jig prevents the count from going up but it does not reset it.
And as someone else pointed out here, even if we find a way to reset the counter how do we know there isn't a reset counter counter?
Are you trying to do a warranty exchange or something?

there is no way to reset the counter

usb jig to reset custom counter on 2.3.5 and up

Does anyone know of a source for a known working usb jig for 2.3.5 and up to reset the Custom counter in download mode. Bought one that boots download mode fine, not that I had problems doing it manually, but it does no more. Apparently previously working jigs do not work on 2.3.5 and up. This is for a Skyrocket.
Thanks

Is this a well known fact? I just now realized it might be so. I've been using my usb jig for months and it's been working great but all of the sudden it stopped working, just download mode. Is there any other way to reset the counter?

remove clockwork

my usb port has failed. i cant charge, or get it to work on a computer at all. if i restart it while its plugged in it will show its "charging" but looses about 1% battery every 5 mins. is there a way to return to stock, unroot, and remove clockwork without the use of a computer and odin, cause i cant get it to recognize, even trying on 3 different computers, and the toothpick trick, and restarting it while plugged in. the techs i talked to said the usb seems to have failed, and to do a factory warranty im sure it needs to be total stock, and my custom counter was never tripped. thank you in advance

First try with a different cable. Often times this does fix things at least for a bit. Secondly if that does not work, then while plugged in remove the battery, wait for a few seconds say 15 or so, and replace the battery. Hold in the power button while doing so, as well as you can try the Vol + & - buttons. See if that gets you into recovery.
If all fails, then you might end up having to pay to have the usb repaired.
I believe vincom has posted an excellent method for unrooting and returning to stock without Odin in his stickies. I suggest you take your search there.
I've tried several cables to no avial. I can unroot using vincoms method but that still boots clockwork not Odin since the USB has failed . I didn't know if there was a way to remove it since it wont boot stock recovery. I have all the stock fw just no way to flash.

If you can temp-root by any means, do that and from temp root use dd to overwrite the recovery with stock one.

Your having problems with your phones USB port.
bender is right, there is a link in my "restore to stock" and the 1stop sticky for returning to full stock w/a dead usb port if you can get into cwm/twrp, i asked for it to be stickied but to no avail, here you go HOW TO INSTALL STOCK ICS W/OUT ODIN USING CWM/TWRP - even w/a DEAD USB Port , its really easy, all files needed are in the op, you just need to be able to boot into cwm or twrp, but be warned, if you install the stock recovery on a phone w/a dead usb port you wont be able to install a custom recovery again, so make sure the flashed stock firmware boots properly before flashing the stock recovery.
I found it and it sticks in bootloop. Sorry I left my working phone at work and couldn't reply. I can't get it to wipe it freezes but I see your post to fix it ill try that. Thank you vincom I just kept missing it spazzing lol.

you need to get into recovery and do a reset data and wipe cache partition, you should be good by then, you did get to the part to flash the stock recovery right, if yes then it really doesnt matter since it is stock and you are returning for warranty repair/exchange

GT-P5113 Factory reset

I want to reset my tablet due to I'm going to be selling it. I've unrooted it, but SpuerSU is still on the system. I've gone into the backup and reset and selected factory reset and it asks for a PIN number, which I thought I knew, but I guess I don't cause it doesn't like anything I type in.
I have also booted holding power and volume up/right. I get a warning menu about pressing left to flash new rom or right to cancel...
What do I do? I want to reload this to like the day I unboxed it...
Thanks,.
No one has any knowledge of this????

Based on it asking for a pin number it sounds like you setup a pin at some point. I run a pin number on my superSU but I'm not sure what happens when you forget the pin number.
I know inside supersu there's an option for full unroot.
Maybe message chainfire the dev of it. I looked at it just now and there's nothing that comes up if you forget the pin number

The pin number is for the android factory reset, not for super user app.

GT-P5113 factory reset with Odin Multi Downloader 4.43
Is Odin Multidownloader compatible with Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 ??
Ive been trying to reload the stock rom with it from this tutorial but it wont recognize
the device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1922505
Ive tried WITH and WITHOUT KIES installed. Have the samsung drivers installed I used to root
but nothing shows up. It shows up with Odin3-v1.85_3 but no matter what I do, on a differnet PC trying
even, the GT-P5113 never shows up in odin 4.43 multidownloader. What is wrong??

Help! Any Suggestions would do. :(

Can someone help me. My phone is on Valhalla final, one morning when it got battery empty and i was supposed to charge it, it just got stuck on the boot screen and wont progress anymore. can i install this rom to my phone? BTW i have a USB jig, i think thats the only way i could restore my phone through odin or heimdall. Thanks in advance!
I am not sure what you are asking since you are aware of Odin and Heimdall. Are you asking if you can still reinstall the Valhalla rom back?
You don't need the USB jig. You can access Odin or Heimdall by putting the phone in download mode. Follow the instructions in the guide.

Reboot recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik. Fix permissions. Reboot. If that doesn't do it you'll have to factory reset.
If all else fails and you want to try one last thing before restoring your phone and losing your data then flash a stock kernel like antonx stock with a twist it should boot your phone back up

thats also my another problem, i cannot access recovery mode neither.
Pull battery with USB unplugged so phone turns off completely. Hold down both volume buttons. Put battery back in. Press the power button for a second. Let go of the power button, but keep holding the volume buttons. You should now be in recovery mode.

Full white screen EDIT: boots into samsung logo then black screen. Recovery, download mode, and charging works

Hello all!
My mom owns this unit, and the screen is all white. Could this be a hardware problem or can it be fixed with a factory reset?
may be a stupid questions, but it's worth a shot to ask here.
thanks!
19.4.22 EDIT: got the unit, download mode works, recovery mode works, charging works, but when i try to boot it, it gets past through the samsung logo then black screen.
Wait for the battery to drain, then power it on again?
Try booting into download mode and reflashing stock, or doign a factory reset via recovery?

i'll try this when i get the unit. problem is i still need to recover what's currently in it, so i can't just factory reset or reflash stock right away.

That will probably be your only option though. Ideally, most of it is stored in the Google account and is restored when you flash and log in again. OK... not everything, but most of it. You have to reconstruct the missing things manually and/or live with the loss of personal data (this happened to me too when my beloved HTC-One M7 entered the Android heaven).

Yeah, but there's an app my mom uses that isn't synced on the cloud, or rather, my mom forgot to set it up to syncmaybe I'll just buy a cheap LCD TFT screen for it. The original screen replacement is very VERY expensive compared to the TFT one.

Can't you reflash stock using HOME_CSC instead of CSC? I've never tried but the HOME_CSC doesn't contain the .pit file that reformats all your partitions

never tried it, probably won't try it. too dangerous haha
already tried flashing stock via odin, still nothing.
what happens is that it boots, shows the samsung logo then black screen.
recovery works, download mode works, charging works. only system doesn't work.
seen in some forums that you gotta replace the screen, some say you have to replace the motherboard. BOTH VERY EXPENSIVE.
Just replaced the screen with a cheap incell lcd, got it to work.
