im having hard time to get the phone out reboot loop att. i put my phone in download mode then right click run admin odin3 one click and plug it then start when it done it said RESET and my phone reboot but it keep looping at ATT logo. any idea what wrong.?
Yea, you 'soft bricked' your phone. I did that myself 2 weeks ago. Can you still get into download mode? It might help us, but what build # is your phone (the number is underneath the battery with all the other info), its either 1005, 1006, 1007, 1008, 1009, 1010. If you have a 1010, you might need to make a jig.

hmmm thats very odd, try mcord's method, i was able to do that method once when i looped my phone. i think your phone doesnt like odin 1-click. so its either a 1009 or 1010 build. look at my method once you get your phone into download mode again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10056254&postcount=36
And how is it that once you unplug your jig, it starts to loop again? can you elaborate more on that? Because the jig is there to get it into download mode and then you plug your phone into the computer and then use odin.

No problemo, I had a feeling that would do the trick. I really need to make my guide a sticky for all the new captivate users because the recent build numbers 1009 and 1010 are just not odin 1 click compatible. If you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask the forum or just private message me. And you're very welcome, glad to see another unbricked captivate in the world haha.

Ok this actually sounds similiar to something that happened to me, so here goes:
Was using Odin back to stock and something went wrong during. The phone screen went into a rainbow/starry clusterfack and then black. Couldn't get into download mode or anything, everytime I booted the stars came back or nothing at all. So eventually I just did what I would do if going into download, pulled batt, plugged in while holding volumes. Nothing came on to the screen but decided to continue, so I hit the volume up do accept the warning screen even though I couldn't see it and finally my phone showed up on my PC. Hit start in Odin and it worked and downloaded luckily. Sorry for the long explanation but, give this a try.
odins not seeing nothing from left to right i see
a phone --!--and a pc with a black screen some how it looks like its in some ultra low download mode :/

Never seen that but, it looks like your phone is having problems connecting to your PC, try rebooting the PC and then reconnect usb and phone.
Also I did a little googling, and I believe it means a bad flash, some ppl have fixed by a hard reset so try that link.
Here's the thread with different options, not our phone but same situation: thread

yeah this phone its hardcore unbrickable... haha as bbwolf said its just a DL screen that usually appears (at least to me) when i connect the infuse and use odin with front or externally conected USB ports also happened to me in all 3 ports of my bro laptop
Instead using the back USB ports will prevent the outpowering of the usb port and you will flash flawlessly but Infuse its harcore you really have to mess things up to brick it... if even possible 0.o
If happens again relax... go to a desktop and flash with a back USB u will be back on track in notime
Samething happened to me, I ended up getting a factory replacement. The same day I placed the order with att I finally got Odin to work.

Hi all,
My Samsung Galaxy phone is stuck on the Samsung boot up logo. I shut off the phone and it starts up again to the Samsung logo again. I am rooted but still had the stock rom and kernel.
I went to selections and wiped my cache and tried to format it like a new phone. The same thing still happens. I am not sure what else to do. Anyone know how to fix this?
Keep the instructions simple please, if you do know. (I'm a desperate noob)
Thanks for any help.
IF you ever did nandroid than just restore that otherwise.........
Hey first follow this steps to flash any rom. If you flash the rom properly than you can use any stock rom from dev section and use that.
OR
follow this step to go back to stock and it will unroot you.

Same Problem
My problem is that my Rogers SGSII LTE I727R, is stuck on the logo screen, which is flashing the boot screen. When I connect the USB (even after install of Kies and Odin), my PC does not see the device. I am really not sure what to do. I think I set the wrong phone ID when I installed recovery (I think I was supposed to use the T-Mobil SGSII setting), but I selected something else. I then tried to backup the existing ROM, and am now in this unending loop. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Follow these steps it will help you go back to stock. ANd reroot your phone.

Try a different USB port. Avoid rear ports and hubs.
OK, i will try that on a different computer, as I have tried all of the available ports on my laptop. Any other thoughts?

Try another USB port or another computer. If you can get the logo you are in a boot loop, the most common form of a soft brick. If you can get into download mode you should be able to fix it.

Another thought is to try turning off firewall and antivirus when using Odin. I've never had my firewall or antivirus block Odin but I've heard it can happen...
Can you get into download mode? Hold the two volume buttons down, then plug the usb cable into your phone, then you should be in download mode.
I cannot get into download mode. I just keep getting the flashing boot screen, with the corresponding vibration.

What he said. Pull the battery and put it back in. Hold volume up/down and plug in USB. Continue holding volume buttons until you see download mode. Careful not to press the power button during this process.

Don't panic. If you're in a boot loop it's fixable. It's when you get nothing that you need to worry about a hard brick.
Try the button combo mentioned above to get into download mode. If that doesn't work, pull the battery again and try using just the volume down button button--I've heard people say this worked for them when they had a hard time.
If this doesn't get you into download mode, I guarantee you that a jig will work. You can buy one online or make one yourself for about 75 cents and a cut-up data cable (I had a car charger that I didn't need--car charges the phone through USB port, so I cut that one up). Always good to have a jig, at any rate...

I would try a different PC first. This happened to me as well.
It seems that the drivers get screwed up when the flash is interrupted. This advice has helped several people.
Good luck bro
I'm assuming you don't get any computer notification that usb plugged in? If you do just give it a few and press up like it is in download mode. I've had a screwed up looking screen and still flashed in download mode even though I couldn't see the screen.

Bought my jig, over a year ago....never leave home w/o it
This happened to me once. IIRC I pulled the battery, connected the phone to the computer (I don't recall if I had Odin running or not, but I'm not sure if it even matters), then held vol + and - while re-inserting the battery and the phone powered on into download mode. It's been a while since it happened and unfortunately I don't remember the exact order of the steps I took, (I was freaking out a bit and trying different things), but you may want to try this process or some variation of it. Good luck.
