so ive tried some of the options others have put on the website for what i thought was a bootloop that i was stuck on, but i cant even get the thing into the right recovery that i had
i had clockworkmod recovery running CM7 and was in the process of changing it back to my old stock rom but my phone turned off
when i tried getting it back into the recovery mode it sends me to RECOVERY SYSTEM UTILITY 3e instead and the power button wont allow me to select anything
the only options are
Reboot system now
- Apply sdcard:update.zip
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
but like i said i cant even select any of them just highlight them
can someone help me

While the small Android appears, hit at the same time Volume + and - . Then you will be able to see options.
Hi, i bought my China Hero H2000 phone yesterday and iv been messing around with the android tools but there's one that is killing me atm and is the fact that i cant update the Market to the US one and the most updated atm (3.0.26), because every time i try to update it fails.
So i found on a website a way to install the market manually in a update.zip file on recovery mode, but this phone recovery mode only shows these options:
Reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/facory reset
wipe cache partition
but the apply sdcard:update.zip didn't work for me, so i decided to google a bit more and found an application called Rom Manager and with it a recovery application called ClockworkMod Recovery which does shows the proper options to do this update procedure. So i decided to give it a shot and install it, once i choose the option it asked me for my phone model so i choose HTC Hero thinking that it was going to work, the app installed successfully but once i booted into recovery mode the phone hangs at the little droid in the bottom right corner of the phone so i have to take the battery out and back in in order to make the phone work again.
So now im stuck with no recovery mode and my old recovery mode with the options i mention before is lost and i cant find any info on the web on how to get it back or how to get a proper recovery mode app to install the market, can anyone help me here pls?

Constantly restarting in recovery.
Pls help me out.
hi all
i am trying to do a factory reset to my nexus S but i faced some problems, the phone cant be reset to factory settings. my phone is on 2.3.4 and is rooted
i had tried the following steps
1) going to Settings>Privacy>Reset phone
after i confirm to wipe everything, the phone rebooted and it will stuck at the "Google" logo (in words) with the fastboot unlock logo at the bottom. i took off the battery to shutdown the phone (anything i press at this moment does not get any response from the phone) and start it up again. once it is started (it get pass the google word logo if i do it this way) all my application and even my themes are still there
2) shutting down the phone. press volume up + power button. choose recovery
same thing happen as above. it cant get pass the google word logo and once i restart the phone by plugging out the batt, it went back to previous state without wiping anything
i search online guide and also youtube video and all of them shows that the recovery will bring you to a android with a exclamation mark (in the triangle) but i cant get to the screen. i had left my phone there for 30 minutes but it is still stuck at the google logo.
Please help

thanks for the feedback. now i am trying to flash it but i faced "adb device not found" error
ok done
managed to flash it back to an older version and everything works now
thanks a lot for your help! cheers
Make sure to update it eventually because you could run into issues when flashing stuff if your recovery isn't up to date.
No problem!
I did an update that it asked me too, now it's stuck in Simple Recovery. I tried to wipe data/factory reset and pretty much every other option in there. I tried to "fastboot" it with the power up button (which doesn't work, it just goes off).
Anyone offer help? Only way to connect to the computer is to do the "apply update" in the recovery mode.
Hi! I need help with my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. It was working fine until I decided to reset it to factory settings via the recovery mode. I did the wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. When I click the "Reboot system now", it just turns off then when I turn it back on it'll go back to the recovery settings. I flashed the stock ROM using Odin but I was having the same problem. It never go pass the recovery mode. I also installed Philz touch (throuhg Odin) and flashed a custom ROM but, alas, it's still stuck on the recovery mode.
The curious thing is, right after I flash a ROM, the device will show that it's updating the system and then it'll turn off. It won't reboot unless I turn it on. Whenever I hit the "Reboot system now", it'll just shut down. I have charged it fully 100% so I'm not sure what's wrong. I thought the keys were stuck but all the keys are responsive (power, volume up and down) when I checked them.
I also tried the apply update from ADB sideload (I found a different thread somewhere and I was able to do every step) but it's the same. I'm stuck in the recovery mode
I really hope that someone will be able to help me.
Thank you guys!!!
I have found the solution to this problem.
