[Q] ARHD 6.0.2 doesn't boot - HTC Sensation

Hi there,
I just read this post as I have the same problem like Odinforce -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21437577&postcount=45635
I checked every step but it won't boot, just remains at the white "HTC quietly brilliant" screen. Furhter I'm unable to reply to this topic because of being too new to the forum.
Could someone give some more advice?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,
Glad to hear it.

Don't forget to flash the radio, unless you want your phone to be empty in 8 hours after charging.

The radio is included in mike's firmware correct? I tried to flash the recommended radio, because the boot loader shows a different one. However, i noticed that the the rom software shows that the correct radio was installed already with the firmware update.

If I decide to stay with ARHD 6.0.2 I'll flash the radio, but I'm not sure yet. Thanks anyway for mentioning that.

Ok but I assume I have to have RADIO S-OFF, don't I? I'm note 100% sure which radio version I had before updating the firmware but it seems to be an old one.

I had same issue as OP... Ran super wipe script before flashing ... It hanged on HTC logo, did super wipe again and it suck on HTC logo again...
Third time i did wipe/factory reset and format all partitions in 4ext recovery and it worked...
There is something wrong with superwipe script, it doesn't work for all users...

Hi,
If you are s-off,then you are radio s-off as well.
Check your radio version here:
Settings>about phone>software information>more>baseband version
You have the new firmware ,so it should be:
11.65.3504.00U_11.19.3504.29_2

OK got it. S-OFF -> radio S-OFF as well.
Settings>about phone>software information>more>baseband version shows exactly the version 11.65.3504.00U_11.19.3504.29_2, this seems to be OK then.
But as chemmastr wrote the bootloader says it's RADIO-11.19.3504.29_2, what's wrong there?

Ok, I'm an idiot ... Sorry for the last question. I just recognized by myself that the radio version is part of the basebrand version.

Yes, and this is an important distinction - the radio is included in the firmware, but is not included in the rom.

Help! Wrong radio

Alright, so I've had an htc sensation running on leedroid 3.10 for quite some time now. Recently it started to restart randomly, so I decided to upgrade my rom. So then I attempted to install insertcoin ICS, but I needed a new radio. So I chose one figuring it would work and now my device doesn't connect to internet or even my data. Whenever I try to install a different radio now to attampt fixing it, it says I have the wrong CID! I NEED my phone to work soon because i have a lot of important things to do that involve it!! Thanks for all help and please respond soon! FYI it says my radio is 10.11.9007.06_M2. Should I maybe reflash the hboot?
EDIT: And in case you're wondering, I've been searching for the solution for hours. I've never been more afraid of anything not working than this phone, and I can't afford a new phone, so please help!
BUMP! Please help I can't sleep because of this
Flash back to stock, do a little research and find the radio version that came with your phone. Flash it.
A lot of times, I've found, the problem with these new unofficial ports of ICS is that the radio doesn't work on them. So go back to stock radio and find a stable ROM to work with.

Thanks! My only problem is, how do I know which radio came stock? Do all sensations come stock with the same radio?
Which version of the sensation do you have? XL? XE?

Thank you, but the same problem persists. I'm not sure what could even be the cause of this problem though. My exact step are to boot by holding vol down and power (im not sure what its called), and then it automatically attempts to install it, but then I get that error message. Afterward I attempted to install it by going to recovery and opening it as a zip file, and that failed just the same.

also is there anyway to install the radio while installing the stock firmware? Why can't you back up the radio anyway? And hwile I'm at it, what does CID even have to do with radio that it would cause these problems? Will location matter? I'm in NJ US.
As far I know you can't dual flash the radio and OS. Also, I think you'll be ok in NJ with a stock radio. Just as fine as you were before all this.

Bootloop Help

Hiya
I've been stuck on boot loop for the past few hours, it all started when I installed the new firmware that is recommended for VI3.5. Since then I can only get to the HTC Logo and sometimes the beginning of the VI logo.
I've tried superwiping, installing rom again, nandroid restoring everything.
Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to try next? Thanks.
Flash firmware again. Note that it reboots the phone in the middle of the process before flashing some more components. Once this is done, delete PG58IMG.zip from your SD card and flash your ROM.

Okay I will try this when I get back from uni. Thanks
As it was mentioned above - reflash the firmware.
I had the same issue with this ROM, and it helped.
Without the proper firmware to match the ROM, it will never boot up. Most ROMS state with firmware is needed, so check the ROM page.
Okay I got home and redownloaded the firmware from here:
http://www.virtuousrom.com/p/inquisition.html
Put the file on root of memory card and the phone picked it up and went through the process. Installed 3.5.0 and it still gets to the htc logo then reboots.
check the md5 of both rom and firmware before flashing--twice!

The md5 of the firmware was correct, I checked that before flashing it. Dunno about rom though. ROM matches too :/ Any other ideas?
Is there a previous firmware i could try that would work with this rom?

try 3.30 i run it at hypernonsense arhd and it worked so far.
Should it matter which 3.3.0 firmware i install? There are various ones. I had CID before but dunno whether it would have disabled it.

Okay I checked SuperCID with adb and i definitely still have it. I tried flashing the HTC_version1 3.3.0 firmware and the hypernonsense rom, i get to the same stage - htc logo and a tiny bit of the hypernonsense logo.
I finally got it working! After trying almost everything I went back to a early firmware and it came to life.
Apparently I'm not the only one with this issue.
Thanks a ton for all the help though.

I had the same issue! I have never had any luck - period - with firmwares posted in individual ROM threads. They always boot-loop. The only ones that work for my device are the ones posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Very strange...
Lol i also have the same problem. The only fw that works the 3.12 hboot 1.23 one. Havent tried the 3.30 one yet. Do you experience wifi problems by any chance? I had them and it started becoming unbearable after a week, had to go back to gingerbread in the end
I would venture that some elements from an older RUU aren't touched by the new image being flashed. This conflict would cause boot loops I imagine.

Need some advice on a random reboot issue.

I am not sure if this is the right place to put this, so I apologise in advance for my noobness.
I have a HTC Sensation (Standard) from 3 (Hutchinson Telecom). I wanted to put CyanogenMod on there but it hung and it may be because I need to update my Radio and HBOOT. I updated my Radio without a problem. I updated my HBOOT as well, and now my phone randomly shuts down or restarts every few minutes.
My current setup according to my bootloader screen is:
HBOOT-1.17.2008 (PG5813000)
RADIO-11.15.3504.16_M
Does anyone know why my phone keeps rebooting? Is it because of what I've just flashed? And if so, how do I stop it from doing that (and let me flash CGM)?
Sorry once again for my noobness.
I had a similar issue. Just follow the sticky thread on how to enjoy ics and be sure to follow it! It fixed the issue for me.

yes you need to update your firmware(has both radio and hboot) completely if you want cm9 properly working
flash the 3.32/3.33 universal one from the firmware thread
flashing instructions also mentioned in the same thread
then you should boot fine

Thank you for the advice, I flashed 3.32, 3.33 and used the HBOOT patch (which messed up my boot up), but when I installed CGM, it restored my bootup and now I am happily running on CGM 9:
Many thanks for your help on this

[Q] stuck on htc logo

Hi guys.
I have a strange problem.
when I'm trying to flash custom ROMS, mostly cyanogen ROMS,
I do a full wipe and try to flash the ROM, it finishes, but when I reboot my phone it gets stuck on the HTC logo until the battery runs out and then I have to return to a different ROM.
I managed to flash cyanogen 7 but then I tried to update to 10 and again it got stuck on the HTC logo and now I cant return to cyanogen 7 even with my nandroid backup.
what can I do to fix this?
I looked all over the forum but I didn't manage to find any post with a fix for my problem
my HBOOT is 6.98.1002 and RADIO 3831.17.00.310
and I'm S-Off using revolution
and I'm currently using fallout 5.0 which lags alot (thats mainly wht I want to try the cyanogen)
any help would be very appreciated.
thanks

As a suggestion change cwm for 4ext, there have been issues with cwm not formatting the partitions properly and some issues on flashing files. Also take a look at the none Sony panel users hangout lounge, click the link in my sig and you'll find a link on post 2

only than I realised it got stuck on the bootanimation this time..
I waited, and I guess the battery was draind or something becuase my phone was shutdown, but now I cant open it or even get into bootloader.
it just vibrated for 7 times in a row and thats it.
I'm not even sure if it's charging when I plug it in

did you update to the latest "boot.img"
For example in "[Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[16]" is Kernel version 3.0.66.
I did update the kernel
After that used 4Ext v1.0.0.5 RC8 to format the system and seperate system_lib
Installed Flinny and had no problems.
I am using
HBoot : 7.00.1002
Baseband : 20.48011.30.0822U_3822.10.50.24_M

Can't flash Radio

I am on stock T-Mobile rom:
Android version 4.0.4
HTC Sense version 4.1
Software number 2.35.531.7 710RD
HTC SDK API level 4.23
HTC Extension version HTCExtension_403_1_GA_20
Kernel version [email protected]#1
Baseband version 1.08ts.50.02.16_10.08e.50.04L
Build number 2.35.531.7 CL96068 release-keys
Browser verion WebKit/534.30
I want to flash a new radio since the version I have the signal keeps dropping and I cannot flash any radio. I am rooted, I go to TWRP and successfully flash a different radio but when I check the settings again it still say 1.08ts. I even tried an older RUU but it keeps failing. I do not want to flash another countries RUU since I'm afraid it will brick it.
Is there away to change just the radio?

I would S-Off the device and then flash the radio installer.
That way you can quickly and easily try a bunch of different radios.
what rom are you on
when you say ck settings, are you talking about Phone/Settings/About Phone
i would have to re-read the OPs on the cm and sense radio installer, but thought with them you could be on a higher hboot, since radio is put into system partition and bypasses htc restrictions. may be wrong--
i did some reading but no time to read all. you need to read them for yourself. talking about the cm and sense radio installer threads
my understanding is with cm rom and cm radio installer you can flash radio if above .09 hboot. it puts radio in system
with sense it puts it to phone. but there was a temporary installer that put it into system and could be used with higher hboots.
don't know if that installer is still available for dl from tecardo
some reading and a nandroid advised as i have no time to read both threads

am pretty sure you flashed the radio properly the first time but fail to check radio version on fastboot since it doesn't show correct radio on settings>"about phone" (known bug)
the radio flashed properly and it shows the correct radio in settings but the signal still fluctuates.
