[Q] Can some one please anwsered my question freakin out lol

ok i just got finished rooting my sensation 4g and everything geting it s-off and i was on my way to flashing a firmware but i think i may of messed up ive searched everwhere when i start my phone it dous HTC then dous the HTC and the little words underneith it then it restarts is my phone messed or is this something stupidly simple please help freaking out and oh btw i was flashing the firm where from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468683 i think the problem is i tryed to flash it in clock work mod recovery dunno if i was supose to do it there or not i tryed the how to fix radio bootloop but it didnt do anything should i try to flash to stock rom? im a noob but quick learner can some one help plz

Not to sound harsh but if you didn't read up on fixing issues should they occur then you should not have even attempted to flash anything.
It's starting to get really annoying having to constantly bail out n00bs who haven't a clue what they're doing. ALL the information is available to you so you have no excuses not to know what to do

Dude, as the other guy said the information is out there and not even hard to find. But I'm in a good mood ....
Firstly, you don't flash firmware in recovery, you boot into bootloader. Secondly, once flashed you MUST delete it from your SD card. Otherwise your phone is going to go into a big fat boot loop. Thirdly, if you are flashing custom ROMs, make sure you read the first few posts of the dev's thread and understand what firmware you need to be running. Otherwise your phone is going to go into a big fat boot loop.
Do yourself a huge favour and make sure you read, read, read before you try anything else on your phone
Also, when creating a thread to ask a question, please give it a meaningful title. I thoroughly detest "Pleeeeeease help me LOL" thread titles and don't normally even view them.

Remember firmware can not be flashed using recovery.
You have to put it on the root of your sdcard and boot into bootloader.
Read this thread . Read very carefully before doing anything.

thanks for the reply ive tryed everything so far ive even downloaded the stock ruu but it cant find the phone cause its stuck in the loop ive tryed factory reset/wipe data uve tryed redoing the radio the right way all it says is invalid ID i honestly dont no what to do anymore any suggestions? or is my phone bricked? i just got the thing 2 weeks ago is there anything i can do?

Ok to be very specific, answer me the following questions with very clear words.
A. Can you boot into bootloader??
To boot into bootloader do the following.
1. Power off your sensation.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Wait a minute.
4. Put the battery again.
5. Press Power + Volume Down key together.
6. The phone will boot into bootloader.
B. If you can boot into bootloader, then give us the full details of the screen message. If possible upload a photo of your bootloader screen.
C. What ROM did you tried to flash ???? Is it GB or ICS ??
D. What do you mean by "but it cant find the phone cause its stuck in the loop" . Even if you are in bootloop adb will be able to detect you phone .

So you have actually flashed the firmware then. Have you then removed the firmware from your SD card? You MUST remove the firmware file from the SD card. Take the SD card out of the phone and use a card reader or another phone to do this. If you don't have anything else, there is a trick I've used.
Connect up the phone and open a command prompt. Type:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
If you get 'error: no device found' just hit the up arrow and enter. Keep doing this until you get no response on the command line. Then the phone will boot into recovery and you can 'toggle USB storage' from there and delete PG58IMG.zip using your computer.

Everything looks fine. Can you try someother ROM? Some users reported that firmware v3.24 didn't work but v3.12 worked fine. So I will suggest to try some other rom. If the problem persist then try v3.12 firmware.

Hi guys ,just upgraded to a plain Sensation and id like to be rid of the htc crap...im a bit scared as ive had issues before (where i kind of ****ed up things and had to be rescued by fellow xdaers)
its running the stock ics.ive managed to root it and unlock the boot loader, the hboot is the 1.27 one thats a pain......how can i get into the groove in an easy turbo noob way...i have searched but just found everything a little intimidating

you shouldn't have unlocked the bootloader but no matter. follow the guide to s-off for sake of simplicity down the road.
honestly, of all the roms, I've been most happy with virtuous inquisition. It's a bit "aged" at this point, but in terms of stability, it's what's kept me.
It's still sense based, so all features still work, but beyond that, it's more or less an aosp experience.
give it a shot or one of the newer senseless / aosp style roms

ive got cw recovery installed and yes i still have s on.....is it just a case of placing the zip on the sd and installing from recovery?

you can flash roms even with S-ON but i suggest you to install 4ext recovery.see here

Try installing rom manager from the market then install cwm9.1.0 from within the app. It is fast, stable and vanilla. I tried it, but I missed all the sense stuff so I reverted back to stock.

ok so is now the time to panic?i did as brusko suggested...and ticked all the options....wipe back up and install.....now im just stuck at the cyanogen boot screen........ok im freaking now..heeelp when i used to use my ols sgs i9000 i had a set of progs and files i could rescue it with....is there such thing for this?

actually because you are S-ON the recovery doesn't flash the boot.img by itself(has not the ability to write the boot partition)
that's why i suggested you to flash the 4ext recovery because it has the feature for enable the smartflash
other solution is to follow the extra 1 part of the thread that i provided you in my previous post
if the one fails try the other

Don't panic. It happened to me too! Use this tool to flash 4ext recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497404
start your device when you get to the cyanogen boot screen, plug your device to your computer using usb cable, then start up the all in one tool kit, and flash 4ext recovery. Then boot into recovery if doesnt do it for you. In 4ext recovery chose toggle usb and transfer a rom in zip format to your sd (I chose ARHD 6.7.2)then chose disconnect. now choose install zip file from sd and flash the rom you just transferred. reboot device, install rom manager again from the market and install cwm 9.1.0 from within the rom manager. This should fix your problem! this is how I fixed mine Goodluck!

connect your phone to your computer using usb cable then boot into 4ext recovery then choose toggle usb and transfer a rom from your computer to your sd. follow the intrusctions I posted above and you should be okay! good luck!

great so now i have a working phone,id like to really try some of the other roms.....so i should go s off...and then id be able to flit between roms so to speak

You don't have to be s-off. I'm not I just rooted and installed 4ext. I can flash all the ROMs I like!

Yeah man I think 3.32 is fine. I'm on 3.33 myself, but I've read numerous posts with users of 3.32 with no problems.
Check the OPs of both threads for full installation instructions - particularly around S-on/S-off as (without looking) I think Bruce's needs off and I think DragunKorr's is OK with on, but I'm sure after rooting and installing 4ext, you should be fine.
One more thing - nothing wrong with being a noob. Everybody was at one time and people who flame others for asking "noobish" questions should **** off and find something better to do.

[Q] stuck on htc desire screen after flashing new rom :[

hi every time i start my HTC desire s after flashing a new rom it gets stuck on the white htc screen. i follow this guide to root and flash and for months its been going well, ive changed my roms many times, but now after trying to install a new jelly bean rom. evreytime i boot up the phone it gets stuck on the htc boot screen.
here is what i do when i flash a new ROM
extract the boot.img from rom i want to android tools folder (adb,fastboot folder)
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
install the rom i want
reboot into bootloader and enter the code: fastboot flash boot boot.img
it tells me its finished in cmd and then i reboot to get the same stuck white htc screen.
i can still access 4EXT Recovery
please help :[

Your problem is that you're on the wrong hBoot - now go and do some searching and reading before coming back with any more questions that have been asked and answered 10 times in the last week alone :banghead:

I still cant find the solution as installing any rom such as ice cream sandwich doesn't work, i still get the frozen htc screen. I tried searching for other methods but cant find the solution

There are only three causes I can think of for the problem you have described;-
1) You aren't flashing the kernel
2) You have the wrong hBoot and it doesn't include the partition required for the new ROMs
3) You have the 'other' type of panel and need to use the specialist kernel

Actually, none of those seem to be the case here:
1. If the op is following the procedure he outlined in the first post, he is flashing the kernel
2. The op has already specified, that he is on hboot 2.00.002, any rom will work with that
3. If the op can't install ics roms either (as specified in his last post), then it can't be (only) the panel issue.
Please read before responding, SimonTS

Excuse me for upsetting you in such a monumental way oh great one. I originally suggested (maybe a little abruptly, but given the majority of the posts on here and the total lack of information provided by the OP it was fair) that it was the hBoot as this is by far the most likely cause - he said he was running v2.00.002. I then suggested he look at the panel issue - he then decided to say that it wasn't just JB ROMs, but also ICS ones which had a problem. I then said I could only think of three possible causes - the same three that you can think of.
What, EXACTLY, did I say in there that caused you such upset?
The fact is that the OP STILL hasn't provided any useful information about his phone to help us help him - and he should still check his panel as a possible issue; maybe by trying to flash JB ROMs on the wrong type of panel he has caused further problems? I don't know and am just stood there with my manhood flapping in the wind to try and suggest anything else without further information from the OP.

After i install a rom i power it down and boot into the bootloader, connect the usb, click fast boot then push the roms img file

If I was in your situation then I would be starting from basics;-
Full wipe - EVERYTHING
Re-install 4EXT Touch Recovery (latest version) - Check MD5 after downloading
Re-flash hBoot - Check MD5 after downloading
Full wipe - EVERYTHING
Format all partitions to EXT4 (not EXT3)
Full wipe - EVERYTHING
Install an ICS or JB ROM - Check MD5 after downloading
If this fails then do all the above but with a known solid GB ROM - Reaper or Endymion to make sure there's not something worse going on.
Also, regardless of your previous answer, do the test to ensure which panel your DS has - better to waste 2 minutes and be proved right than waste 2 days if you are wrong.

after seeing his suggestion to reflash the recovery, i flashed clockwork recovery via fastboot,picked a ics rom, did the usual steps and it worked!!

[Q] Please help unbrick???!!!!

Here is what I did....
HTC One X (ATT). Unlocked and rooted yesterday. (TWRP)
Today tried to install CM10 and GApps, got stuck on CM bootscreen, then I flashed the boot.img and it still did not work....then my immediate next step (probably stupidly) was to flash modded boot...still did not work....I just got to HTC screen with the red writing on the bottom and nothing else....
So I got into TWRP and restored to my backup (which I was able to do before the above) and just got to the same HTC screen with red type on the bottom......now I started to panic.
I tried to relock the phone...and I did but now I cant go anywhere but the fastboot screen!!!!
Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you relocked already just run the ruu in fastboot and restore to stock.

Just read read and read more..be comfortable first than you'll be fine and know how to get out of any situation

Just read up and give it another go.....like anything else, sometimes you need certain thing to happen to learn....good luck.

Just saying, you flashed the boot.img after flashing the rom and gapps? The boot.img is flashed before flashing the rom

It can be done either way.

ive been seeing alot of new members soft bricking this way should read though this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957193 it explains every thing for ppl on hboot 1.14 and higher.

That is what is supposed to happen. Once you relock, you need to run the RUU. It won't boot otherwise.

I am unlocked and rooted again.....ready to try again...

I know what you mean, when i first got my one x and learned of rooting, i felt i was claustrophobic with normal stock. I Read and read and read some more, before I even thought about flashing roms. But I Recommenced flashing Viper JB 3.1.0 As it basically installs the boot img in the boot-loader for you. I also recommend Cm 10.1, except it does not have camera working as of yet. If you dont mind not having a camera, cm 10.1 is a very smooth rom. Also remember if flashing certain roms like cm 10. dalvik, cache and factory reset, as well as flashing the boot img are required for the rom to work. Good luck

I've had this problem since may 6th, 2012 lol.. good god you should here my wife when I tell her I didn't get her messages or calls because I was in recovery lol!

HTC Sensation (early x-mas gift) Stuck on CM9 boot-up screen

Hello,
I have gone through the other threads that looked similar to this problem but I found nothing that worked there.
HBOOT - 1.27.0000
S-On
Unocked.
I went through the stages on the HTC website, got everything set up with Super User . I then backed-up and went to load up CM 9.
It basically just hangs in the little boot animation.
I tried using superclean (I think it was called that) It did not work.
I can get into the bootloader and clockworkmod touch but I cannot seem to get an image to work.
I tried one of the CM nightlies and it just hung at it's animation boot up screen also.
Can anyone help me please?

Did you flash boot.img manually from pc and did you wipe everything except sd card??

Hi,
You don't need a superwipe scriptm As you have s-on, you just flash boot.img inside the ROM.zip through fastboot, in this way:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
SENT FROM WHATEVER IS NOT SOMETHING TO BE LOCKED AT, THE THING IS THAT IT IS SENT.

Just tried boot.img from PC and got that to get4Ext to work.
Now just trying to figure out of CM 9 will be ok to flash and work

HTC Sensation problems
SO I have 4est on my phone. Thing is, I can't seem to get any roms to work.
I have tried Android revolution and CM 9 , neither seemed to take. Can any one help ?

Did you enable smartflash before flashing the rom and did you format everything except sd card?

Yeah, it just hangs on the white htc screen .

I can't find any roms with Kernels folder in them to get the boot.img from.
Been working on this for 3 days straight now. Would love to be able to be done with this tonight. Your help is most appreciated .

witch rom do you want to install?
Btw when you flash new rom it take a little more time on first starting ? how long did you leaved with htc or cyogen logo?

OK so I just found the boot.img for cm9 and have followed the instructions. This was successful. I am now flashing CM 9 to see if it takes.
