in the market I cant find any books, im sure Google opened up Google books not long ago. When I got to the market I can see categories like apps or games, but no actual book category.....is it just me? It was there a couple of weeks ago cause I actually downloaded some book samples...
This is the Australian market.
It said somewhere that it is US only.

Is just downloaded some apps. They gave away angry birds in rio free. Wasn't so much interested in that, but, I took it. Hey, its free. Also, they did have an app I was looking for and could not find on Google Market. It's all good. lol
This really is a good app store. Very cool. Got signed up an got my free AB Rio and picked up a few apps I had been looking for as well.
Good way to get a free app a day
Rio was not that great angry birds is geting old
I like it because i can install any/all apps regardless of the build/version/device i am using...now it just needs MORE apps, lol
free paid app every day.. I downloaded the angry birds rio yesterday and today, I just downloaded world series of poker for free.. Just wondering what will be free tomorrow..
i will download this app today
Considering you can buy the app and if you have multiple devices on the account, install the app on all of them. Yeah, I would say that is pretty darn good.
Do you really think the way the licensing works through Google Market is better? DRM?
Not to mention how many problems I have seen where people had purchased apps through the Google Market and then the app would not run due to issues because of the way the licensing worked.
Never hurts to have options.
Not saying drm is ok, but the android market isn't the most attractive place for devs right now. This at least gives them another avenue to android.

So I've getting a lot of my Apps from the Android App store and I noticed they are way behind on versions and barely get updates. Just looking at the 15 programs I've download, at least 7 of them have newer versions on the Google Android App store.
If you mean that the Amazon Appstore versions barely, if ever, get updates, I'm with ya.
Been waiting for Wave Launcher to update in the appstore for forever. Its updated twice in the Market since I got it. Then I went and checked today and its no longer available through the appstore...
I've written to Amazon about a different app (X Construction), and surprisingly it updated the very next day. I may have to write again.

As the title says, Earth And Legend is on sale for a limited time in the app store. I didn't see this topic yet and the reviews for it look outstanding. Looks like a lot of game for $3. Downloading it now, I'll post later with my impressions.

I got it the day it came out.
The game's actually a very generic grind-festy mess that falsely boasts itself as the mobile equivalent of Elder Scrolls.
It comes with a 60MB data install that comes directly from your phone storage instead of using the sd card (even with all the adb tricks, it still sucks 47.40MB off your phone), they straight-up backed out on their word about making it work with Xperia PLAY's analog touch-pads and then stopped responding to their fanbase as soon as the issue was brought up.
Oh and BTW, the only reason it has so many 5-stars is because they bribe you to give it 5 stars with free coins, and won't stop slapping you in the face with the prompt window until you agree to it.
I find myself using my laptop less and less in lieu of my phone anymore. However, I don't care for reading books, long articles, or magazines on my phone as it's simply too constricting.
For those reasons and a few others I've decided to pick up a tablet. It doesn't have to be the latest and greatest thing on the market or have a ton of internal space as I'll be streaming most of what I listen to and watch. I will mostly be working with text documents, dropbox, browsing, and reading on it with the occasional YouTube video... Maybe a game or two here and there. I'd also like it to last me for at least a year, maybe two.
With those considerations on mind and roughly a $3-400 budget, which tablet would you recommend to me? And I absolutely will be rooting whichever device I get and installing custom roms.. Just in case that also needed to be considered.
Ps, I searched first but didn't find any similar RECENT posts

I'd recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (16GB/32GB) and the Sony Tablet S 32GB. I have both and they're great. Whatever you do, DO NOT get the iPad. You'll regret it. Trust me.
blackberry promised android users that the BBM app will be ready to download and use on the last month (june) ...the month is finished and no thing nor an apk niether on play store ....so am asking u does anyone knows if it was just a lie or it will be available soon

Who really cares? We have much better messaging apps than BBM, but if you really want to know the answer then go and ask BlackBerry.
Well, I have a bunch of friends who still use Blackberry, and I've used a Blackberry myself in the past. I still think it is one of the best messaging programs out there. I've read that the app is currently in the process of being verified and approved by Apple and Google, and it will be out sometime this summer, so within the next 2 months, most likely.
