According to the CEO of Halfbrick who I talked to today, Fruit Ninja, which is one of the most popular games on iOS is coming to Android in 2 days.
Details and a video preview of the new Arcade game mode on the iPad are here: Fruit Ninja Coming To Android Wednesday + New Arcade Mode [AppNation]
Btw, he said it only took the company 2 weeks to port Fruit Ninja from iOS to Android using the NDK.
Go Android!
cool, hopefully they release a demo verison/ ad enabled full verson
This is definitely going to become the norm now with Android picking up so much steam over the last year!
Is it any different from Ninja Kaka?

Are you saying Steam is being ported to android?!
Am I the only one that's been playing this game for over a week now on their phone?

Fruit Samurai has been out a while for Android which is basically a clone of this as well.
I love fruit ninja on my iPad. I bought a clone of it, Fruit Kaka (I know) and I returned it. I can't wait to get this.
fruit pirate 3d is better
Ugh, I feel dirty because I bought Ninja Kaka which seems to have been pulled from the market. Oh well, I'll be buying the full version of this when it's out as well.
It looks like the real version will only be $0.99. Frackin' fantastic! Going to encourage everyone I know to buy this so hopefully other iPhone devs will follow suit.
The game runs flawlessly on the EVO
OC'ed, FRESH ROM, NETARCHY KERNEL
30MB install guys, just any fyi.

27mb doesn't matter even you have 24 gigs .
Installed on my vibrant. Runs great, just the same as the iphone.
My brothers nexus is confirmed working flawlessly.
Yay for great apps!
This message is brought to you by my Samsung Vibrant, using the XDA app.
I've uninstalled pretty much every app on my Desire and the marketplace won't let me install it due to lack of space
fun game, just bought and played for the first time.
Am I the only one that thinks Fruit Pirate (even the demo) is far superior to this one? Maybe the graphics are a bit worse but the power-ups are funny, and you can slice the halves of the fruit too.
Not showing up in the market for me. I'm on a Vibrant with the new firmware leak.
bought it this morning...and ran it a few times...
(EVO running CM6nightly (Sept14) SNAP7.6 with SNAPTurbo ON)
I'm noticing a slight lag from the game registering a finger on the screen to the actual start of the slash. I have the game for my iPad...and have not noticed any issues like that.
Anyone have the same issue? It could just be my phone...
...this is not a flame...I'm addicted to the game...and I'm quite happy to have it in my phone
I cannot find it in market.
I can use appbrain to sync to my phone, scan barcodes, search, it never comes up. Anyone else with this problem?
Here's the web link
In the Android Market
the problem is.. my phone can't see it.. and the market says it's not available in my country...
HOWEVER
today it's free on the amazon market
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005AKPLYK?ie=UTF8&ref=mas_faad
what gives? anyone else having the regular market issue?
i'm happy to play free until i can pay for it.. hopefully soon.
It's just like Robo Defense.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
it is and it isn't. FR was THE tower defense game when it originally came out on the iOS platform YEARS ago.. some of us to played it then will be glad to have it on android. I think it has a bit more UI polish that robo defense (which itself is a great game) and robo defense has a leg up with more features (points to buy upgrades increases replayability) but the combo of eye candy + simplicity is a potent mix. I think they're both great.
So here's a question, is anyone else having issues installing it? It DLed fine and I have several other apps from the Amazon app store on my phone, all w/o issue. And just to verify, I did use a wifi connection (which wouldn't be an issue anyway, because that's only required to DL.)
How come this isn't supported on our xperia plays?
The market tells me that it is unsupported on my device and when I tried an APK out of curiosity, it tells me that it is not supported on my device.
is everyone else having the same problem, or found a workaround?

I think it may be part of the deal sony did with EA for the fifa exclusive. Maybe support for madden will come when fifa goes to all the devices.

in the US, Verizon has an exclusive for the Madden franchise on their android devices. Verizon R800X's came preloaded with Madden 11, Im sure you could find that around here somewhere.
my Canadian rogers r800a came stock with madden 11 also. Too bad about 12 I've been waiting weeks for it but apparently only available through us carriers atm
I bought Madden 12 last night, but when it gets to downloading the 300meg of data it then tells me I'm in the wrong country...
Now when I open the Market and go to My Apps its not there, even though its in my app drawer? I assume they've now set it to US only. How can I get my refund though? Alternatively how can i get my 300 meg?
**EDIT** Oops, got here via search and didn't notice I was in an Xperia forum. Sorry.

Oh man I can't wait till FIFA 12 comes out!
well I was able to play madden 12 on a friends device today. I have to say this is the ABSOLUTE WORST app I have ever seen. Here is a list of the pro's and con's
Pro:
pretty nice graphics
After playing this piece of crap I have a new found love for madden 11
Cons:
You can't run the ball at all. EVERY run play results in negative yards.
the game responds to screen taps maybe 50% of the time and that is a generous estimate. this is really bad because in order to pass you have to tap on the receiver down field. Every game I played I was sacked at least 12 times because my QB couldn't get rid of the ball.
The "new and improved animations" are totally ridiculous and completely unrealistic. If you tackle an opponent from behind he flies backwards. That's right backwards?!
on screen controls are way too small
If you call a timeout and select a play your players proceed to the line of scrimmage then you are brought back to the play selection screen as if you hadn't selected a play at all yet.
Speaking of play selection, when you are in the middle of choosing a play sometimes the game kicks you back to the start of the process and you have to select your formation and play again. sometimes this would happen 2-3 times per down. Now I can see why there is no play clock in the game.
If you try to do ANYTHING on a pass defense it almost always results in a pass interference call. I had to just let the cpu handle defense on passing downs.
I am so glad that they didn't release it on the Play because I probably would have wasted $8 on this piece of useless eye candy. Any if anyone thinks I am being a little dramatic on my evaluations, just have a look on the market for the user reviews. I remember the days when I loved EA games. Now they are just a total joke. I believe it is called madden not because of John Madden but because that is all that playing it does...MADDENS you with frustration and the 12 part is prob. refering to how many times you have to touch the screen before it responds.
In one word... PATHETIC!!!
Hmm. Doesn't sound good.
I got it all downloaded, but when I run it I have sound but a black screen? I see one button and I can manage to select exit by prodding round on the screen...
Any ideas the best way to go after a refund?
What was your first impression of the Android OS? Mine was a paranoid thought of an OS named Android....thinking it would be a form of social control.....
I found out about it from television ads regarding different model cell phones. When I finally saw the UI, my first thought was an iOS ripoff. That seems like such a long time ago. Now I know better and I'm thankful for such a widespread open source OS that is smashing barriers as we speak!
What was your first initial impression?

It was awesome, so much possibilities, apps, customizing options,... but then I rooted my android phone, flashed newer android versions and had a lot of fun doing it. Android is awesome.
Before using it, I thought it was microsoft's attempt to compete with apple's os.
I've always wanted to have any Android device but when I got it... I felt disappointed. Why? Because Samsung just forgot about my phone and I didn't get any upgrade! And then I found xda and just fall in love with Android OS

Lol....but in all seriousness....once I quickly learned what Android was like, it blew me away. I was totally turned off of the iOS when I received an iPod touch in December of 2009. I'll admit the device itself was pretty cool (hardware wise) and seemed "high tech" to me at the time. The UI was smooth and the display was bright and clear.
After that initial "wowness" wore off it was time to get down to business with one of the aspects of the device, playing music files. I quickly learned that the files had to be in the .aac format which was a little irritating but after some reading I learned that I would have to download the iTunes PC application for music conversion and other tasks. Finally downloaded the PC application and learned I would HAVE to input a credit or debit card number to set up an iTunes account to get free apps. At that point I knew nothing about newer gadgets. So I got rid of the iPod because I refused to enter in that information.
Android on the other hand is not like that, mp3s play, real free software w/o strings attached and a lot more options!

i absolutly not want to enter the nest of a discussion about andoid and ios, i own both, i preferr android, so much prefer it, but to my mother i will always give an iphone if i have to chose. but about what you said about file format-itunes-app store account issue, i can tell you by experience that any ipod and ios device plays mp3. i'm listening an mp3 right now from my iphone. yes you need itunes to upload music to any apple device, it is irritting but is their way to say "i sell your music dear musician and also protecting them from illegal reproduction on my device" butyou can add any mp3 without itunes asking anything. also you can, as i have done, deactivate the convertion to aac, and set convertion to mp3 or also to not convert new files added to library. last thing i have credit card just from this year, and own my iphone by near 2 years, and i have downloaded plenty of free apps without giving any credit card number, when it ask just hit, as on google play, add credit card later!
this said the way android works in this aspects is better for me, and probably overall. but what you said was not completly true.

I wish I would've known some of that when I had the device lol. Like I stated earlier, at that point in time I didn't know hardly anything about newer gadgets of the time.....I was used to old Palm Pilots and such. When I finally got a color screen pda early in 2009 I thought it was super high tech because for one it actually had color and two, it had WiFi but it was already 3 years out of date!
Oh well, who knows, if I would have kept the iPod I might've turned into an Applenaut but instead found Android. Maybe the correct way of saying it is Android found me.

We had experiences with the iPhone 3G and wow it was pretty great. Then one of us got the Galaxy S Captivate and it was really great as well. Data with HSPA+ just blew the iPhone away; no contest. And now we have this Apple vs Android battle all over the globe but when we started playing around with Android Dev boards (BeagleBoard for example) and with mainline Linux vs Android, the opportunities for communities to just tear open the commercial market are pushing mobile computing in such a great direction.
The turning point for us was being able to take a microSD with android putting it into the BeagleBoard, having it run; and then subsequently taking it out, putting another microSD card in it this time with Linux compiled for ARM with Arch Linux. At that point, we saw Android in a completely different light. I mean the plug and play abilities of those peripheral drivers alone...having that kind of device knowing that the backing to it is largely a Linux device kind of instills a level of confidence in both security (by the nature of open source whistle blowers) and in performance. Can't wait til Android becomes more than just a phone/tablet OS...give us more Android watches, Android clocks, Android cars; perhaps not in it's current implementation, but a derivative thereof. I personally will take Android and everything it stands for over Apple products that we can't tinker with.

Personally I blame the OEMs. If done right, Android would be no different in lag/latency down to the low level code than a well built JVM on top of a Linux kernel. But as a consumer...I agree; it is unfortunate that Android is subject to bad software design and to make it worse, Android is open to bad design down to the implementation of the SDK.
Overall though I think I would rather encourage Android to get cleaner than Apple to get more open.

Get rid of the poorly autotranslated program descriptions. They sound ridiculous, at least in German. Use English text instead or look for good translators.
Try to include important keywords into your app desription, like the title of the original games - but in a "natural" manner.
The visual style of your game is not appealing. Use a better font, do not use "dirty grey* backgrounds. Use flat graphics. Try to get inspiration by games like Dots and Threes.
It looks like your game is quite hard to play on a 4" device. Try to make your assets bigger.
You've given us no reason to play your game.... What's your pitch? Convince me, make me NEED to download it right away.

Your target devices have amazing hardware inside. your game should be able to tap into that powerful hardware resource available.
Otherwise target the low end android devices to improve the game popularity nad bugs and then work your way upto the flagships !!
You should also do more to promote your game. Go on Google+, start a blog, etc. You can't just depend on word of mouth, you have to self promote.
I generally love when people try pushing their apps into the store, but this game does not look attentive at all.Just because you worked on an app for a long time doesn't mean it will be a hit.
People like hd, possibly 3d apps that aren't too complicated.
Average people want a simple game to kill time, which is attractive. I don't know how to describe, but you must have talent for it xD

But vast majority of user have budget devices when newly launched. These devices were launched as flagships ( flagships are not brought by majority of people ).
Try improving the basic graphics of game so that, it does not give an impression of a cheap or free game even if small in size.
Release the app on iOS and Windows store . Since iOS popular games are more blindly followed into the Play Store popularity ratings by blogs.
This will give enough popularity fir your game.
See the problem is you are good in designing and all , but you need to learn to market your skills to people also. you need to highlight your plus points more visibly in the already crowded world of apps & games.
make people notice the difference.

Atleast make the GAME ICON in play store ATTRACTIVE or of HD quality.
Honestly , with the current icon, even when i am searching for a game and title meets the requirement, i would likely skip it for some spam and all.
Cause it looks like many other games out there already popular, just in different background. There are still a lot of games that can be played on budget hardware, I still use my evo 4g on cm11 and run a lot of the games I like that came out this year.
And now to me you've made it to where people will point and laugh and say that's the dev crying nobody's downloading they're app...actually, that is good marketing lol

Well as stated only having such a poor quality game that's HD only! These are simple games but to be honest having a HTC One S and that's apparently not good enough for your game kinda makes me think screw it, there are plenty of better looking similar apps that do work.
for starters, change that icon, it's terrible, less cold colors and more white would be great
