[Q] water damaged sensation - HTC Sensation

ok so the orange charge light comes on when i plug the phone. it vibrates when i turn on but no lights no screen. and when i plug it into the computer the computer recognizes the phone. but askes me to reformat the disk and i cant get into anything on the phone. is it software related issue or hard ware issue? also is the phone salvageable? and if its a software issue how would i go about reinstalling all the software?

How did you fix the water issue?
How long did you leave the phone after fixing it before turning it on?
Is the battery fully charged?
Have you rooted the phone?
Have you tried a factory reset?

phone is fully charged.
not sure if the water damage is fixed or not.
not rooted
screen is black no lights. and no lights on the home, back, search, or setting buttons.
no factory reset as i cant access anything on the phone.
i let the phone dry for 2 days before i turned it back on. and it has a black screen ever since. vibrates once when it trys to power up. and than nothing. orange lights when i plug it in and its charging. green light when its fully charged. my computer recognized its there when i plug it in but wont let me do anything with it.

Exactly the same issue... did you figure a way to solve it?
I have IPA soaked the phone and it is now in a rice containing sealed chamber for 24hrs... at 37 degrees C... I was wondering if it could be software related.
I have rooted the phone and it was running ARHD with a faux kernal. Could it have just screwed up the memory and blanked the software?

[Q] Completely black screen

So, I was flashing gtg's unbrick back to stock after trying CM7 for a bit and my phone managed to slip off my desk and come unplugged. Now when I do anything it stays black. Tried taking battery out, plugging in usb... nothing. Not recognized in Odin anymore either.
Any suggestions on what I can do to save this thing?
stays black mean what?
when you insert battery whether there is any backlight or it is completely dead?
you may need to take it to service center.
Meaning nothing at all. No backlight, no nothing.
Well, apparently trying to put the battery back in with the usb connected a few more times convinced it to get back into download mode.
Case closed! Thanks for your help, everyone.
Good to know...
so basically you just kept attempting to put it into dload mode until it took...and eventually it did. Awesome!

Failing battery sensor(?), unable to boot normally.

So my issue is that my phone believes that the battery is out of power. Weather the phone is on or off it charges just fine when connecting the charger, it just doesn't show any indication. When it's on it reacts by activating the display when connecting the cord.
I found a workaround to boot up the phone though, but I'd like to be able to know what's left of the battery anyhow!
To boot up my device I have to disconnect the battery and connect the charger. That way I'm able to boot up download mode. Once I'm there I reconnect the battery and choose start. The phone boots just fine and I don't experience any issues at all.
It all happened when I switched out my cracked display for a new.
I even tried replacing the battery, as well as the flex cable connecting the USB port to the motherboard.
The only thing I could imagine be wrong would be some hardware sensor failing, but then again I don't see how that could have happened.
Is that sensor on the motherboard?
A thing I haven't yet tried is a factory reset. Would that have any impact?
No ideas, huh?

You can try a factory reset but I don't know if it makes any difference since it sounds like an hardware problem.
Sorry :\
It's a hardware problem... Head to the service centre & let them know how it happened. They'll diagnose your problem.

It's dead.
RIP Nexus 5 2013-2016
I recommend connecting the phone to a windows computer and look in device manage to see if any new devices appear. If you see something like USB BULK, it's bricked but may be fixable.

I am having the same problem. I noticed that something appeared named QHSUSB_BULK. But how to fix it. Please help. I will be very thankful.
My mistake, if the qhsusb bulk is a hard brick that may be fixable but you can look here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/unbrick-lg-model-download-recovery-t3060184
Other types of brick are fixable: https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...-unbrick-nexus-5-stucked-qualcomm-hs-t3043301
If it happened without you playing around with the bootloader then it is most likely the EMMC that is faulty(fried/dead)

Samsung galaxy s6 wont turn on

Hello im repairing an samsung galaxy s6, which was dropped in water by a firend(for cca 2 seconds). I told him to turn it off, and i cleaned it with alcohol when i got it in my hands. Now i do not know what to do, . When i plug it in my charger and try to turn it on, i get a blue light but just a black screen nothing happens. When i reset the phone( soft reset) there is a red light while charging but nothing happens on the screen. When i connect it too a pc it recognises a device but it cant load the drivers of the device. What could be wrong with it ? Could it be the battery, i cant get it to turn on

It does not matter if you turn it off straight away, the battery IS STILL CONNECTED inside the phone so any water inside will continue to damage the components. It is impossible to say what the damage is at this stage without taking the phone apart and testing each component.
Leave the phone somewhere warm to dry out completely, if after a few days it still does not turn on then the phone is broken.

Mate 9 bricks when restarted or powered off

As the title states, if I try to restart my phone or turn it off the phone will not power back up. When I plug it into my computer or wall outlet it remains unresponsive and will not charge. The only way I can get my phone booted back up is unplugging the battery and plugging it back in. The power button functions fine when the phone is on. I have already done a hard reset and that changed nothing.
I sent the device back to Huawei initially when the device was unresponsive and they sent it back claiming it was water damaged. I work in a oyster hatchery so I guess the high humidity and salt environment has done something to the phone. Have any of you experienced something like this?
Thanks
Quick update, twice in a row I have tried to open the camera app and the phone shuts down and I have to open the phone up to unplug the battery to get it to start. Im thinking that there is a short in the phone? I was taking pictures with no issues yesterday.
