[Q] emulated games on custom rom? - General Questions and Answers

I've recently setup my G2 with the cm7 nightly rom which I highly recommend... but anyway to the point I'm trying to use gameboid on it but doesn't seem to work just wondering if anyone has found a way around it and whatnot.

[Q] CM7 Kernels

Im sure that there are some awesome alternative kernels for cm7 here, but I cant seem to dig them up as there's multiple versions of kernels and Im having a hard time telling if they're gingerbread or not. Do you guys have any recommendations?

[Q] Apps that don't work with some ROMS?

Hi guys,
Is there a list of known apps that don't work with certain ROMs? This might help some people decide if they want to flash a certain ROM or if they should at all.
For me, the 2 I noticed when using the GB version of ARHD is Swagbucks and Plants vs. Zombies. Swagbucks wouldn't work at all while PvZ would FC and reboot all the time. When I went back to stock, all was well again.
I loved the ROM for it's speed and making my phone more stable over all, but if some apps don't work, I would want to look elsewhere.
Hope this helped some people. I haven't tried the ICS ROM yet though so I might have better luck but for now I am on stock waiting for the OTA (yeah I know I should just mod but I can wait and I will for now...)
Anyone else come across apps that don't work with any ROMS?
Thanks!!!

Bluetooth Question

Hi, at the moment I'm using Valhalla Black FB. I was wondering if there was a rom that would change the way my phone communicates via bluetooth. I play a lot of emulators and I would like to use a controller. I've done a good amount of research on google and xda and couldn't find anything. I even looked for an app.
Thank you for any help
Did you read the emulators thread I posted in the themes and apps forum? It's got a guide for getting an emulator to work with a wiimote via bluetooth
It's a fact that many Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S 4G, won't connect to certain bluetooth devices while using ROMs based on the stock firmware (such as Valhalla Black). AOSP-based ROMs, such as CyanogenMod or any of our ICS ROMs, don't have these limitations, so flashing any of those should get your gamepad working.
Thanks! I must have skimmed over your post. I was thinking of trying out cm9 but I haven't looked into how stable it was. I really like the rom I'm using atm.

[Q] Fun Run Multiplayer Race

So I was at a party earlier and a bunch of people were sitting around playing this game. I went to download it and found it was not compatible with my device. A friend with a crappier phone running Gingerbread had it (I was running ICS ICySnap, more specifically) so I wiped and restored to a GB ROM I had. Still incompatible. I did a bit of looking around and never really was able to find any information on system requirements for the app.
But after I got home and looked online I found this website: http://mobile.brothersoft.com/fun-run---multiplayer-race-861640.html and our device (both the Optimus One and the Optimus T (I have a T)) is listed under the compatible section.
Any of you able to run this app? If so what ROM are you using? Is anyone able to help shed light on this for me?
Thanks!

[Q] What is cyanogenmods strategy with updates?

Just wondering, now that cyanogenmod has this "updates" thing that they're trying to do..are these going to actually be nightly roms available straight from them?
I really wish android would give me a solution similar to archlinux..where i can update to the newest and greatest easily, without loss of data..
