Why did you sbf?
Try pressing shift, alt, & delete to shut off, instead of battery pull
Could try fix permisions in cwr or wipe cache
Edit: you have the droid 2 global right?

Use the 2.4.29 SBF image.
2.4.330 does not completely reflash the phone, and people reported various issues remaining after flashing the 2.4.330 image.
I sbf the phone so I can downgrade to use the team fission rom. Do you have a link to the 2.4.29 SBF image

I restarted in recovery, wipe the cache and data. I rooted the phone again using droid3 123 root. It ran fine for alittle bit. Now it wont turn back on when I put the phone in sleep mode. I have to take the battery out again like before. Is this phone broke?

I was trying out some roms and the last one I had was fission and I was trying to put on one of the themes from the fission rom manager and my phone went into a boot loop so I did a batt pull got back into recovery mode where I then did a recovery back to my stock rom. Everything worked and now im back on stock. I even used z4root to unroot my phone and. Now I turn my phone off at night and then back on this morning and my phone was in recovery mode. Had to select the first option boot up phone and everything is good now. But why is it in recovery mode and how do I fix that because its not soposed to be in recovery mode. I even unistalled bootstrapper. Please help.

Uninstalling bootstrap still keeps the hijacked logwrapper file. Try foogling how to completely remove it. I dont remember the exact steps off the top of my head.

You need to give us something to go off of. if you just say my car is broken will a mechanic know what to do?
Tell us what you or whoever has done to the phone to get it in that state then we can (hopefully) instruct you to fix it.
Is it a Droid 2 global or the original Droid 2.
My first thought is it's out of battery or you destroyed it with a liquid (Always take the battery out of your phone ASAP if you happen to get it wet).
Its a regualar droid 2. I rooted the phone months ago. and i guess he was playing around with and bricked it. I used another battery and it turn on and straight to the motorola sign. and stays there. took the battery off put it back on press X and turned it on. and i got into android ! mark. i hit search button and it takes me to the system recovery. Did the wipe date/factory reset. and wipe cache. All i get now is E: can't open /cache/ recovery/command. Im outta my league with motorola. how can i unbrick this from here
Best bet at this point would be to use RSDLite and flash the Full Stock SBF file.
Yes you need the 2.3.20 sbf and rsdlite to flash the software to the phone. Ignore that 'error' in the stock recovery it always says that.
Also if you have a D2 why did you post in the D2 G section?

I actually have the same problem, I used RSDLite to flash the full SBF, and my M2G won't power on. The process I have tired is a battery pull while charger is connected, then insert battery followed by holding power and x down.(nothing happened) I have not tried the method of using a different battery.
Any help is appreciated, I would like for the phone to power on. I don't want to use a warranty replacement just yet!
I used this SBF found here.

Pressing the up-arrow when turning the phone on should take it straight to the bootloader, where you can then try flashing the SBF again.

Hey guys. So I was flashing the new fission rom on my droid 2 today and after the backup was created and everything else was set, when the phone was rebooting, it just got stuck on the motorola boot logo. I have tried pulling the battery out and everything and all I get is the same boot logo. Is there anyway I can get into recovery mode?
any ideas on how to get the phone to boot propertly? :/
Are you holding X while powering on? This will get you into stock recovery. If you can get to that, try wiping data and cache and rebooting. If not, you might have to SBF:
SBF Guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770224
SBF Download (download in guide doesn't work. You can find it here):
hxxp://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-2-discussion/5323-tbh-mydroidworld-present-droid-2-2-3-20-triple-threat.html (replace xx with tt)
ALWAYS be sure to wipe data and cache when flashing a new ROM.
Hope this helps and you get your phone working.
If you get to the boot animation, pull the battery in the middle of it and when you reboot it will go into clockwork. If not, you will have to use an sbf
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
Also try holding the X button down on keyboard and hold down power also till motorola logo pops up.
Then hit the search key below X.
Wipe data and cache.
Good to go. Happens to me all the time when reflashing after a SBF.
alright. i'll give the sbf a try. and i did try holding down X. I got to that menu, wiped cache and data and i'm still stuck at that logo.
i got everyting to work but the final step. when i am about to flash the sbf on rsd lite, i locate it and everything, but the program won't let me click start in order to begin flashing. any ideas?

If you are on windows 7, you have to run rsd as admin. or your device won't show up.

Do you have your phone in recovery when you are trying to SBF? If so that may be your problem. You need to have it on the bootloader. You get to it by pressing up when you turn the phone on. It should go straight in, you shouldn't even see the moto symbol.
got the problem fixed! thank you all for your help. it was the windows 7 admin problem. Just did it off my media center xp desktop, worked like a charm. and yes i was in bootloader mode.
thank you again!
Congradulations! Glad to hear ya got it fixed.
Awesome! Glad your up and running.

No I did not tell them about root...I tried rsd lite but I read they have not released the .img, for the OVA update released not to long ago

Find the 2.3.20 full sbf file and hook the phone up and flash it. As long as you get a bootloader screen or the like you can recover regardless of what's messed up, including the recovery.
If you could post more detail about what your phone is displaying when you turn it on, that would go a long way to helping you out further

TBH did not release the sbf for the unofficial OTA to GB, if you broke it you have to flash back to Froyo and start over using the 2.3.20, especially if you installed the version with the bad recovery (released on accident). Slide your keyboard out and power it on while holding the UP arrow, it should load up the bootloader screen and then you can connect to RSD lite and flash away. Make sure after you flash you fire up the stock recovery and do a factory reset (hold x till the android guy and triangle appear, then press the search button on the keyboard), sometimes the phone will bootloop otherwise after a flash.
I was still running froyo, never upgraded in any way to GB. Downloaded RSD lite 4.9, and updated my drivers. The sbf file i used was 2.3.20, the RSD could never find my phone. I tried to run as Administrator but can't figure out how to do it, I've tried every way. Running Vista on Desktop, and 7 on laptop. Still no luck.
the phone will not charge at all, I have to use a separate battery charger. If I press the power button the Moto Sign comes on and stays froze at this screen, until battery is pulled. I can get into the phones stock recovery, (power+x), I have wiped and reset, but just to get the Moto sign froze again. Several attempts on that one. Once battery is charged enough, I can connect with USB (power+up), to RSD lite. But RSD will not find phone. That's when I read that they haven't released the sbf file I need for the last OVA update, before the GB OVA update.
Thanks

First go here http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/...rld-present-droid-2-2-3-20-triple-threat.html
down load the drivers for Moto connect (more like the reason RSDLite wont see your phone)
make sure you have either RSDlite 4.8 or 4.9
download the 2.3.2 sbf file
Switch your device to PC mode
Turn on debugging mode (settings>applications>development>debugging mode)
Launch RSDLite (make sure device appears in window)
Select SBF
Start
Device will switch to bootloader and begin the flashing process and will reboot when it is complete.
Ill try tonight but I can't turn on pc mode the phone wont turn on ill try with usb on
Thanks

i think you are understand that i am amateur android user. can you explain me what should i do step by step??
information:
milestone xt720 2.2.1 dexter froyo. stock221v13-bugfix-3 installed.
just follow the steps to install a custom ROM like Dexter 1.3
if you have open recovery installed, just boot to it, and select the option to flash the ROM again or restore from backup
i try to boot it,but when i try system backup, backup hooked system: dumping.... step.
If you can boot into (Androidiani) Open Recovery you want to wipe the dalvik-cache & if that won't get your phone to boot you need to nadroid restore a fresh copy of Dexter's froyo & the apply the patch again. Wipe the dalvik-cache & wipe data / factory reset.
how can i do it???
should i paste my sd card dexter foroyo(where in the sd card)???
sorry for my english

If you were already running Dexter's Froyo the files are already on your sdcard. Boot into Open Recovery >> nandroid >> restore >> stock221v13 >> restore all. Wipe data / factory reset.
i entered nandroid >> restore but is not stock221v13 in there

Re-download that from Dexter's thread and put it in the nandroid/openrecovery directory of your sdcard.
Also, avoid leaving your phone in recovery for prolonged periods, it's known to drain battery faster than it can charge!

I think your battery power is now too low. This phone really has a big problem with draining battery faster than it can charge when not completely booted into a working system. The challenge is that when charging, the phone autoboots when it hits minimal energy and if it doesn't make it all the way into Android, it quickly drains itself back to square one again.
I think the surest fire way out of this trap is to get an external battery charger (I have one ordered because I'm fed up playing this battery "game").
When this happens to me (can't boot, button leds only or if you wait long enough even worse--no leds--I've been there ) I've been able to charge for a while while watching the phone like a hawk. When your phone starts to autoboot pull out the battery and put it back in. Repeat a few times. It's a super pain in the ass.
It's not safe to RSD/SBF without a full charge.
