GUYS sometimes my signal lost when im in a road,,,i use SMART and TALK n TEXT... i dont know what to do... ANY SUGGESTIONS guys??
IM FROM PHILIPPINES ( asia ) currently using MIUI_XT and sometimes i switch to CM7... THNKS
well from what i can deduce from what you said
it works fine normally, you just lose reception when you are in transit
that would not be surprising for areas with fewer towers, or poor reception
i don't think flashing a baseband will make any difference, but it's something you can try

Hi,
I have a problem in my Xperia handset, its dropping signals sometimes and even I can,t make calls and also my friends are telling me they cant reach me. I tried switch off HSDPA and 3G, and seems it solved the issue. Is this a really firmware issue or a hardware issue. Coz if its a hardware issue I need to change the device. Im so thankful if anyone can give me an advice..
Thanx,
Sha
it also could be an issue with you not being in a well covered place
for the frequencies your phone support ?
Don't know a lot about your phone, but it should be possible to flash another radio version, like all the other windows mobile phones.
It could do the trick.
It really helped a lot on my Diamond.
Some radios work better than others for different pdas.
Also, where do you live?
Hi, im from brazil. i have some problems with network signal.
in places where friends of mine from the same network operators (vivo)
have a full 3g signal, i cant even get an edge. but in open spaces i get a good signal. im on CM7 nightlys,
baseband I9020XXKB3,
and my build is GRJ22.
signal on -95dbm now.
my questions are:
can i solve this problem by flashing a new radio such as XXKD1?
what really is the function of the radio?
does the contry that im on now request a diferent radio?!
thx for the attention?
Radio effectiveness differ from user to user. Depending where you are. What might be a good radio to me might be bad to you n vise versa. Unfortunately you will have to try them by yourself and judge.
For me kd1 gives me a better reception but slightly more battery drainage than kb3. Some users reported better data speed. Try it out and see.

thx for the attention man!
i'll try them all.
another thing, do you know if the radio already comes with the ROMs
or i would have to flash it always apart?
I´ve read in a few forums out there that sometimes there are signal issues with this model when is used outside US, in my case most of the time my phone only has 3 signal bars (sometimes 1 or two bars but only for a few seconds), when I recieve or make a call suddenly I get all 5 bars this only happens with that phone, every other one in the house gets full reception, by the way I dont have mobile internet I only use cell reception to make and recieve calls and use wifi for internet.
After reading a lot about this Im guessing I need to try and flash a different radio, so my real question is which one? My provider is Claro (Huge cell provider in Latin America, but I guess you guys know that ) . And one last thing, this one is a newbie question, Can I flash a radio on a rooted stock JB firmware? I updated with kies.
Because when you make a call it switches to hspa.
You would have to try all the radios to see which one works best in your area.
Sure you can flash a radio as long as you have a custom recovery.

Hello! Apologies if I do some dumb mistakes forum-wise and pass as a total noon at this, cause I actually am! Anyway, here's my problem:
So a couple of weeks ago I tried CM12, an unnoficial CM12 by Beeto and CM11 by him too, I noticed a big major flaw with all of them, which made me go back to stock firmware... The cell signal sometimes is just very weak, and I'm experiencing this on the stock firmware too! I go look at battery>cell standby at the end of the day and I notice that it spends about 15% of time without signal, should this worry me? Its just that my friend's phones normally show "0%" or very very close in the same conditions! I'd like to know if there's a way to fix this in any way, either on the Roms I tried or the stock firmware (since I prefer custom Roms anyway)... I'll be waiting for a response! Thank you!
EDIT: My friends are reporting that my messages duplicate sometimes! Really need a fix for this, it's dumb :/
Also with an XT1039 here (rooted stock 4.4.4 w/ bb). Used a Samsung Galaxy Ace II before (CM11) and the signal has similar dropouts with both phones. Wondered if it was the firmware (on my old phone) but as far as I can tell (also tried my sim card with an old SonyEricsson V630) it is my service provider (E-Plus Germany). Moreover we have a pretty white (poor) provider coverage in Krautland (3G and LTE on E-Plus are basically only with full signal strength outdoors in major cities). So I guess nothing to worry about.
Im getting so sick of it right now. My phone looks like unlocked(idk maybe not) but it doesnt matter imo. Phone keeps getting E signal. I even look my country signal stuffs , i changed apn's ,settings, network type etc. Even flashing stock firmware doesnt solve it. I need at least 3G signal to do my homework and stuff please help
